francizy: Something to grab/hold on to when the game is on.. I personally like them moderately big, well-rounded and soft. The type that claps when I smack.. Are you OK now?
I started this piece last week with the emphatic statement that come 2019, the likes of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, His Excellency Chief Ikedi Ohakim and Senator Hope Uzodinma will not only be major players in the Imo Political space, but will fight over the Governorship position currently occupied now by Owelle Rochas Okorocha, who has completely disappointed Imo populace due to his model of Governance which has kept the state in motion since 2011, but without any movement. Any doubt that Ihedioha, Araraume and Co will dominate Imo Politics in 2019 was dashed with the list of Ministers rolled out by President Mohammadu Buhari. I made it clear that politics is like Football, where it takes time to groom stars. And the moment the old players begin to exhibit their qualities, it takes time before they are displaced by new players. Take or leave it, the current politicians in Imo will continue to dictate the pace of things for a long time to come. How long did Senator Arthur Nzeribe dominate the politics of Nigeria, Imo and Orlu before the combined efforts of Chief Achike Udenwa and other Orlu politicians tamed the Ogbuagu. Therefore, it is no question asking if Araraume will vie for Imo Governorship election again, same for Ihedioha and Ohakim. They will if not must. What should be the issue is whether they will accomplish their ambitions to rule Imo State. Ohakim has, and his tenure was truncated. This leaves Ihedioha and Araraume as major contenders. But mostly Araraume, whose dreams of ruling Imo State has always come to grief at the last minutes. Therefore when Araraume comes in 2019, he will be coming with alot of experience on how to safe guard his victory, right from the party primary level, to the main general election. In 2007 he was the Governor in-waiting until his friend and in-law, His Excellency, Chief Achike Udenwa disappointed him and could not put to fruition the optimism that his inlaw will hand- over to him as his successor. Although many said it was not Udenwa’s fault because of pressure from different angles, but some still swear that Araraume would have hoisted PDP Governorship flag in 2007 if Udenwa had stood his ground. Just last December when Araraume appeared as an Aspirant for Governorship under PDP, after he had just returned to the party from defunct ACN, many wondered what he was up to. Surprisingly, in the end, if not for Emeka Ihedioha’s sagacity and dogged resilient, Araraume would have snatched the PDP Governorship ticket. He fought hard as usual, but the diadem escaped him again by the whiskers, reminding him of the 2007 debacle. Therefore, as destiny beckons on Araraume again in 2019, the Lion of Ishiebu will not approach Imo Governorship seat with kid’s glove, even though he will subdue himself to all due processes to nick the Imo Governorship seat, because 2019 may be his last chance, as age is approaching. But the important question should be, under what platform would Araraume execute his election then? Will it be APC, APGA, PDP or which party? The answer is that Araraume will run for Imo Governorship race in either PDP or APC. However, it is going to be a herculean task. But that will not be a matter, as Araraume has grown used to tough matters. For those who may not have noticed, Araraume has begun preparing for 2019 election. His “Destiny Organization” has remained busy since. The Organization has busied itself with two major things that are inevitable in politics; money and contacts. Araraume has since planted his trusted allies in various with elections, and therefore abandon their “structures” for their personal businesses till the next election year, Araraume’s politics commences after elections. He continues to oil his political machine at the period when many political leaders had shunned their followers to rue the Millions of Naira they had spent in primaries. Don’t forget that while Araraume schemes to plant surrogates at the helm of Imo PDP, he would be doing the same in APC which Gov Okorocha has given him a foothold. However, by now Okorocha may have been savouring with the delusion that he had tricked Araraume to dislodge PDP to the advantage of his second term election, and therefore can do with what he likes with Araraume. That is where Owelle Okorocha got it wrong. Okorocha may have been appointing his Task Forces and Committees without any input from Araraume, whose Boys Okorocha have completely abandoned in his recent appointments. And till date, Araraume has not uttered a word in this direction. But the time of reckoning is forth coming when the Lion of Ishiebu will call on Okorocha to give account on his contributions to his 2015 election triumph. It is going to be easier to Araraume since Okorocha will not be running for 2019 Imo Governorship. Certainly Okorocha would like to plant his stooge as successor, but that is where the trouble with Araraume will start. It was on the grape vine that one of the conditions for Araraume to join Okorocha train was his 2019 Governorship ticket. If that is true, Okorocha will realize that Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume is not Chief Martin Agbaso. In 2010, Martin Agbaso and Owelle Okorocha had struck a deal that Okorocha will hand over to him after one term. Martin therefore planted his younger brother, Chief Jude Agbaso to act as his Sheriff on Owelle Okorocha while the regime lasted. But Okorocha had other ideas and Jude Agbaso had to give way for Okorocha to complete Eight years in Office without interruption. But Araraume will be a tough nut for Okorocha to crack without sweat, because when two male Tigers clash, the calamity will be unimaginable. For Emeka Ihedioha, he will be there in 2019. He has ample chances because his structure will still remain fresh, s and favours to dish out like the last time, because having left his plum office as the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives will reduce his propensity to dispense favours.he touched every strata of Imo politics by dishing out helps across the State. There is no part of Imo State that was not adequately represented in Ihedioha’s Train. He lifted many abandoned old politicians who many thought had waved final goodbye to cosy living. Many forgotten Ex State and National Lawmakers, past Government Appointees, finished Contractors, obselete Traditional Rulers, moribund Youth Leaders, including frustrated hangers-on were restituted by Emeka Ihedioha. I know many people today who would have been nothing, if they had been alive today, if not for Ihedioha’s magnanimity. Whether these people will remember in the long term is their own problem. That Emeka Ihedioha lost Imo Governorship election was not exclusively his personal fault but because of accumulated factors in his political party, PDP; a political party that can be linkened to Crocodile. Crocodile eats its young ones when it is hungry, only to begin to look for them after it had assuaged its hunger. Imo PDP is like a group of ambitious fellows who found themselves in a hole. But rather than form a chain to swing out one of them to go out and find a Ladder for others, they will all resort to individual efforts to climb out singly, and in the process all of them remain in the hole. Why has PDP lost all Governorship elections in Imo State after Achike Udenwa in 1999-2007? Sabotage. Greed. Envy. Ambition. At the crucial time, each of the Leaders will have an excuse not to support the party’s flag bearer, but instead join opposition candidate. Owerri Zone is by now rueing why it could not support her son, Emeka Ihedioha. Yet Ihedioha has no political future without his people; Owerri Zone. Therefore, he should forgive them and reconcile with even those who worked for his failure. What the outing has done to him is to acquire more experience in politics and human Psychology. Was it a surprise that some people making a living out Ihedioha’s magnanity, whom he made sure their names appeared on the Imo PDP Delegate lists, voted for his opponents in the primaries? Yet they feed from Ihedioha. Human begins are wicked. Even God Knows that. Whatever are the short-comings and disappointments, Ihedioha will come in 2019. Age is on his side and he has the capacity to continue the ambition. The problem Ihedioha will encounter is the battle for his party’s ticket if he wants to run for Governorship. Whether PDP will make impact is not in doubt. The only stumbling block is if the party has learnt its lessons. Already, the current APC administration led by Okorocha has shored up the chances of any other serious political party in the State. Even though things may change before 2019, but it will not be for the better for the simply reason that Okorocha has made up his mind that Imo people did not vote for him in 2015 even though he won the election and has resolved to pay them back in their own coins. For sure, if Imo PDP voted for him, why would Emeka Ihedioha stretch him to the limit with a re- run election that tasked him both mentally and financially to wriggle out? So, one of the reasons for which Okorocha is punishing Imo people today is because of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha. He knows Imo voted for Ihedioha. So, it is left for Ihedioha to do what he can to remain in the psyche of Imo people till 2019. 2019 may look far, yet is close for a serious politician with pending ambitions. Can Ihedioha retain his “men” till 2019 elections? It requires a Philanthropic heart to continue to give, and strong mind to make sacrifices and enduring focus to win a marathon race. Has Ihedioha all these? Days ahead will task him, but he must not fall over-board.
2019 shall be the turn of Orlu zone to govern Imo state.
Rochas Okorocha governed on behalf of Owerri zone; even his deputy governor from Owerri zone recently announced before the media that Rochas Okorocha did 75% of his development efforts in Owerri zone, but analysts believe it is more than 95%.
The last governor before Okorocha was from Okigwe zone.
Alams the indefatigable fighter for Resource Control. Alams fought for the chance for Jonah the weak, Alams fought and got the opportunity to change - restructure Nigeria politically, the chance which Jonah de weak squandered.
Wetin she de weep-wail for? She no dey there when her Jonah husband fearfully chickened out of Aso Rock - to usher in old time tormentors of Ijaw and rest of Niger delta?
The whole of Nigeria shall soon start to feel the pinch of Jonah's cowardly act. Abi, which Nigerian president has ever been sent packing first term? Jonah said Government House was like prison yard for him. He wanna hurry out to enjoy private life.
Na you de ask this kain kweshion? It's obvious, a guy with a car is known by authorities, that's the car and its owner are in government data holding systems.
A guy with a car has responsibilities that include taking care of the car as well as himself.
Of course, the last considered fact that a girl riding in a guy's car has some protection from the probing eyes of the public, and with a car, she arrives quicker to her and his destination than on foot.
abagoro: Have you read my view? The workers and Government should reconcile their differences for the sake of students. Thats my view. It is more or less an ego war. Government has refused to pay them for not working while they in turn refused to work until they are paid. What is your suggestion?
Government is by the people, for the people, of the people.
Government is not Rochas Okorocha.
The money to pay salary to IMSUTH workers so that they resume work is the people's money, not Rochas Okorocha's money.
The money to condition IMSUTH to pass any accreditation is Imo state people's money, not Rochas Okorocha's money.
When Rochas Okorocha became governor and for four years the only road to IMSUTH remains impracticable, that's when he started to open his contempt for the institution.
abagoro: What is the genesis of IMSUTH crisis? The Government got a report on lack of seriousness on part of hospital workers after agreement on increased pay. The deputy Governor had to pay an unscheduled visit to the Hospital only to discover that many workers were absent and did an instant row call after which he declared that those absent would be queried and sacked.
Genesis of IMSUTH Orlu crisis: 1; many of the staff have not been paid salaries for months.
2;,Since Okorocha came to office, the road to IMSUTH has remained nearly non-practicable.
3; Okorocha pickets and marginalized the institution as he built in Owerri many of the facilities that should have been built at IMSUTH Orlu to expand the institution. Such facilities Okorocha built in Owerri include Ochiedike Kidney centre and others too many to mention here.
4; But for Prof. Awuzie who was recently removed from office as VC, who insisted on making IMSUTH functional, IMSUTH would have been decayed by now, as Okorocha pays lip service to the institution, or outright disdain for it. Example, Okorocha had an accident in 2012 very close to IMSUTH but chose to be attended to by a church hospital in Umuowa further away from IMSUTH than the scene of the accident.
5; Okorocha has a huge disdain for anything Orlu. The same grudge that prompted Okorocha to dismantle a newly-built sports stadium in Orlu, scrap the roads in the town, depopulate the town since 2011, is the same grudge behind the present uprising at IMSUTH.
Okorocha does not seem to understand that this is a democracy and public opinion swings, he may wake up one day to observe that it's all over - he is no longer the governor of Imo state.
pinkiberry: dry joke. certificate is not everything
Ok, certificate is not everything, so next election, a certificateless almajiri can even win Nigeria's presidential election, abi?
Perhaps you don't see the clearer picture: for an almajiri to win to become president of Nigeria may be possible given Nigeria's skewed political structure.
When he was HoS in 1984, the man Dr. Ngige and others lined behind this time to be president of Nigeria told a generation of youths in Ngige's age bracket that the youths were future leaders of Nigeria. More than 30 years after, the obvious analog man, Buhari, is still struggling with those youths over who shall lead Nigeria. So Ngige is now an analog man also.
Buhari achieved the feat of becoming Nigeria's president 30 years after he was HoS, no thanks to Nigeria's political structure skewed by soldiers from Buhari's clan to favour northern Nigeria.
The Ngiges and other follow follow politicians keep quiet as the present rigged political structure of Nigeria continues to produce the country's last eleven as leaders for Nigeria - from OBJ to Jonathan to Buhari.
Op, sorry I could not read further after the first three paragraphs because your grammar and communication style pisssed me off. Next time use the words you know their meanings, and on the right contexts the words can be applied.

Abagworo: You are dividing Orlu zone according to your personal wish and not according to reality. Mgbidi, Awo, Oguta, Ohaji, Egbema are all in Orlu zone. So are Ideato North and South, Oru East and West, Orlu, Orsu, Isu, Nwangele, Nkwerre and Njaba. List what is not in Orlu zone
1) IMSUTH, Imopoly, Nursing school Okporo and Amaigbo
2) Oil rich fields at Oguta, Izombe, Awo, Egbema and Ohaji
3) Pharmaceutical industries, Heineken brewery and other wine manufacturers are there.
4) The highest concentration of Rich people in Imo State and one of the highest in Nigeria is in Orlu zone. It is just a matter of investing home in other things other than building duplex.
Good old Abagworo, yes, while Orlu people have to invest in Orlu to bring development to the area, Imo state government under Rochas Okorocha invests more than 90% of his capital development efforts in his dream city, Owerri, to bring development to Owerri - though Okorocha's deputy said Okorocha invested only 75% of his development efforts in Owerri in four years.
Okorocha's dream city, Owerri, has had enough patronage from Okorocha. It's time for the rest of Imo state to get their dividends of democracy.
The not needed flyovers Okorocha has commenced building now in Owerri, infrastructure development in the rest of Imo state may again remain on hold until Okorocha finishes his flyovers in Owerri. Who governs a state the way Okorocha is govering Imo state, like he was elected as Mayor of Owerri Metropolitan city?
Abagworo: Your argument is pointless. Even if I show 50 projects in Orlu zone, you will try to belittle them. So its of no use.
Road enlargements of existing roads many of them now worse than what the roads were before Okorocha government came with earth moving machine?
Road expansion is development where infrastructure that requires influx of humans exist. How many cars do you pass driving Orlu-Akokwa road? If Okorocha is brilliant enough, he ought to have first established infrastructure needing influx of humans to Orlu zone and in that Orlu/Ideato area instead of expanding that road.
Abagworo: Imo is the best State in the Southeast. By the time a lot of pictures will emerge showing the bad side of other States you'll appreciate Okorocha.
You are smart? You use worse case scenarios to reply to the assertion that Rochas Okorocha refused to do any single meaningful development project in Orlu zone which catapulted him to office; he rather destroyed much of the infrastructure he met on ground in the zone. . And your answer to this is promise to show pictures of states worse than Imo.
Chiwude: Okorocha is politically digging his grave as long as Orlu zone is concerned. How can a Governor concentrate virtually all his attention in Owerri. The narrow victory over Ihedioha during last election should serve as a pointer that Orlu people aren't happy with his continuous neglect of the zone to Owerri. I understand that he tried putting Orlu to measure up with other advanced cities with the dualization of major link roads in the city as well as the one linking Orlu township to Akokwa ideato. Still, his decision to focus major projects in Owerri while neglect other areas like Okigwe and Orlu calls for serious concern.
Many Owerri people these days wonder why Rochas Okorocha would stay four years in office without any single useful development in his Orlu senatorial zone, instead he struggles with Owerri over land for building the many buildings and other development infrastructures he did only in Owerri.
Orlu people wonder why Rochas would cause so much destruction and damage of the infrastructure already in existence in Orlu when he became governor.
Rochas is preparing himself to become president of Nigeria Lol!!!!
CSTR2: You are deceiving yourself. Ojukwu seceeded peacefully with the eastern region that was under his control and Nigeria declared war on him. Any act of yoruba seceesion will not be taken as peaceful. We will descend on the SW heavily led by igbo forces.
Only you will descend on Yoruba when it secede from Nigeria. Biafrans are praying for Yoruba to secede so that Biafra can be freed from the stranglehold of the Fulani in one Nigeria.
If the National Assembly does not stop this phenomenon of Nigerian president brazenly making himself oil minister, Nigeria is gone to the baboons.
Why is it that Niger delta people or people from the SE where oil comes cannot be president, while SW and northern presidents also assume the post of oil minister?
No part of a country must be assumed to be conquered territory, else, the country explodes in fire.
Abagworo: Ideato should allow others produce Governor for justice and equity. Oguta/Ohaji/Egbema should take it next.
Okorocha is already setting a bad record for Ideato people in Orlu zone/Imo state politics. Except expanding the road from Orlu to Akokwa, Okorocha did more than 90% of whatever development projects he did in four years in Owerri, even though his deputy says it is 75%.
Guess what happens next if an Ideato person comes out in the name of Orlu zone for Imo gubernatorial elections.
Abagworo: That is equally the challenge we should all give Okorocha and Buhari. Let Imo State gain from our backing of Buhari. No Imolite should join misguided Igbos in fighting Buhari. We stand to gain more working with him now.
Igbo people do not beg. Let Buhari not deny Imo state what's due for the state ,: that is all we demand from Buhari. What extra goodies do you expect a northern man to bring to Igboland!!!!
Abagworo: Okorocha is extremely popular in Imo State. It is mainly Anambra people and Mbaise that are crying because Jonathan lost and Okorocha played an important role towards Jonathan's downfall. It is for same reason they hate Amaechi. Amaechi is equally popular in Imo State.
I feel for my Mbaise peeps. Their emotions seem to have been triggered by the false hope that Ihedioha could defeat Okorocha with Jonathan assisted rigging and sponsored by Anambra business men. They should face the reality that Orlu zone is Imo State's North. You can't win an election as a minority using tribalism and hate as campaign. It is the bane of Igbos. You have to reach out to other Nigerians and see them as brothers.
Hear this Abookie imported to Imo state from far north yawning.
Okorocha won second term because of people's fear that if he failed to come for second term, the projects he deliberately started would rot away.
Okorocha must be telling himself that he is the fastest thinker in his Ideato. But he is pouring sand for garri for future Ideato politicians as far as Orlu zone politics is considered.
Okorocha has amply demonstrated that he has no business with Orlu zone. He has no single business anywhere in Orlu zone, his only house in Orlu, he knocked it down when he was demolishing other houses in Orlu, unlike in Owerri where he has innumerable businesses including hotels, hospitals, private mansion etc.
Firefire: Oshi-omo-ole is the governor of IEdo because we don't know him here in Benin City.
He is busy chasing about Okonjo Iwealla, Goodluck Jonathan, Diezani Madueke and Pius Anyim.
How to have them in prison is Oshiomwhole's new job since PMB emerged.
But he does not understand that if he achieves this, he may retire to his impoverished roots in Etsako region to till the soil to survive. No body bites the fingers that fed him.
Those points in Owerri where Rochas is building flyover, large roundabouts with canalized traffic should have served better than flyover.
But Rochas is now sharing the same mentality with some people in the state capital who seriously believe that a city having flyover is a sign that it is a mega city. It's over ten years that such people have been pressuring Imo state governors to build flyovers in Owerri. When the roads in most parts of Imo state are no more passable, the state governor is wasting money building useless flyovers in the state capital.
exxell: The New Face of Owerri.... Rochas is working. By tomorrow, I will be in Orlu to expose him more. Abagworo and Beremx, am coming to your domain live with a drone. Rochas must be exposed.
Please bring photos from Orlu to let NLanders see how a governor dismantled a sports stadium, sold the roofing sheets and pillar rods. Pretends he is building a new one in the last four years, but nothing.
How a governor abandoned the only road leading to his state's university teaching hospital in Orlu.
Op, you wan show us say people still de mad for green white green flag of Nigeria. Those ones be crude oil patriots of one Nigeria. They no sabi any other thing to live on except crude oil down yonder.
