dragunov: Oga, the 1000 intended forest guards is not to combat the terrorists who stole 46 people. They will be raised, as part of government efforts to forestall future occurrences. Presently, the terrorists have been located and surrounded but the government owe you no explanation on when they were located, how they were located and where they were located. The only info I can divulge do far is that they have been surrounded, the terrorists know they are, they are upset about it and are threatening to kill another hostage. Infact, they are now desperate for negotiation and the government is refusing to do that. The government is obviously cautious because of the kids, otherwise, they would have cleared them. Check out wetin you type? the government owes it citizens no explanation?? No wonder they act with impunity with a citizen that reasons like you. Terrorists are desperate for negotiation?? Na unintelligent people you think say be your audience? |

Lithiumite: After 2 weeks, this us very poor from tinubu, there are so many people around the president that needs to go.....what happened to making this kidnapping incident the most trending news in the country with live updates from the very epi center,Nigerians seeing troops being mobilised with a temporary base with a command and control center......people seeing movements into the forest, with helicopters hovering and drones showing surveillance footage with atleast 2 daily updates by state and security officials......this would give Nigerians a sense of security and believe the govt is really concerned about their safety but what do we get, rather belated response, visits and photo ops with empty promises that elicits no hope in the people. I don't understand the bolded statement!! Who appointed said people? IMO i don't see any member of the current government cabinet that is performing apart from the minister of interior. The president should have done the needful a long time ago. |

pluto09: We have a very big problem in our hands which I don't think we disappear by just removing the leaders. We have had 3 presidents since this security issue started and it seems the problem get worse and more complicated with successive leader. This only tells that it is a lack of political will to solve insecurity that is the issue. Who can remember when Charles Taylor (ex Liberian president/warlord) was exiled in Nigeria? He was tried for war crimes and convicted. The initial narrative from Nigeria after he was convicted was that he could not be located. After strong pressure from the international community di man show face. Na political will be our problem. |

2027 will be a death sentence for election riggers. I don't mean your favourite politicians. I mean you who they use. The only way to prevent rigging is to protect your votes after the election. This is very possible but some Nigerians would attempt to discourage the electorate by telling them it is not possible. See what Ghanaians did in their last election!! My fellow Nigerians lets protect our votes and may the candidate with the most votes and 2/3 majority or whomever wins based on preset parameters will become the president of Nigeria come 2027. If Tinubu wins in a free and fair election, then we move on. |

I wake up everyday and when I think of our situation, I feel depressed. But if I kill myself overthinking about people who hate themselves so much then the joke's on me. The question is: Are we even thinking of the future or "just leaving everything to God"? I know politics exists in every nation or even in every community but do we have a plan or blueprint for the future? For our children?
My preek shrinks when I write something troubling our heart and someone crawls out of nowhere to call me "Yoruba," "Igbo," "Obedient," or "APC." How exactly did we get to this level? I have always had this belief: the fact that we are still where we are is one of the main reasons we must put away our differences and work together. I believe that even if this country is divided, for the good of this skin color we share, which has made us identical to those who disrespect us, it is best we put away our arrogance and use our pride to grow together.
There's this question that has bothered me for years: If a nuclear apocalypse happens today, which "race" aka skin color is likely to go extinct? Has it ever crossed your minds or is it all about dragging the future generation into hell? SuperO.nyi struggles to understand what happened to the "black race."
It becomes even more depressing when you find out there are people, tens and hundreds of millions of people who truly believe that this is the fate of the "black race": to be trampled upon, insulted, and degraded. They have no problem with that as long as they get to eat. These people believe they have low IQ, and those political puppets, they will drag us down with us.
I ask again: is this our fate? If the world was ending in 2050, what exactly is our fate? Dare I say that we will likely go extinct like homo erectus if this is the mentality and approach we believe is going to take us to the promised land.
As for SuperO.nyi, before death calls my name, I will prove all of these stereotypes wrong, and change the world around you. Never again will I overthink because of people who have chosen to embrace mediocrity. That's the spirit, be different and don't follow the crowd. |

tonystark007: Although, like they say, everybody with their own opinion.
But I believe avoiding or not escalating situations to violence is the best. And even if it does, it better to just leave the scene and let sleeping dog lie.
Yes, I know as human being, and as a man... Our ego might feel bruise, and we want to retaliate to satisfy that ego, but think about the result of your actions and how it would affect you before you make the move.
The best that would happen is you attack back successfully, and feel great, but the worse is you attack or simply just push the person, they collapse, and pass to the great beyond from there 😂,
At that time, nobody will remember that you were defending yourself, the story becomes you push as killed someone. All your anger, ego, and everything becomes regret, "if I have known, I wouldn't have."
Or the person counter attack with a weapon or fatally injures you.
So what I'm trying to say is let's be guided, some people are just working dead moving around.
Your freedom is much important that your ego I agreed with your assertation but "still on still" if i nor retaliate e go turn police/court case. The aggressor must receive punishment. |

Even when we decided under Late Sage, to be in opppsition, we still won for Nigeria and Nigerians.
