PoliticsRe: Presidency Begs Buhari To Settle Abati Libel Suit Out Of Court by manfred10(m): 10:39pm On Jan 13, 2013
tchaik: “You should never leave polling centres until polls are counted and the winner declared and you should lynch anybody that tries to tinker with the votes.”

The only viable way to save this Country!
And we should also ensure that thesame results announced at the polling centres are the ones announced by the returning officers or whoever announces the final results

PoliticsRe: Suggestions For Credible Alternatives To Jonathan In 2015 Elections by manfred10(m): 6:50pm On Jan 10, 2013
lanre_front: Did hear you say you voted for because of the lack of a better candidate. Mr. Pastor, that is a big lie and you know it.

There was a better candidate. You could have voted for. But just like most Nigerians, you were carried away by sentiments and the "I had no shoes" campaign of Mr. Jonathan.

You voted not out logic" reasoning, but you voted on nothing but sheer sentiments. You did not even bother to look at the antecedents of the contestants.

As for me I voted for Buhari and I am proud of my decision.

Like a poster said, why not add a little realism to your choice Presidents for 2015. Buhari had a good chance to be President in the last elections. Another one is coming in 2015.

I say Buhari is the most qualified to rid Nigeria of the monster of corruption. He has the willpower, passion, clout to deal with the corrupt big guns holding Nigeria in slavery. After him others will follow to continue the good work, but we need home to lay the foundation for a Nigeria free of corruption and indiscipline.

You only deceive yourself if you think the likes of Fashola can break the back of the monster, corruption, in Nigeria. Is it Fashola who is Tinibu's boy, and together with his Godfather, they are stealing Lagos State bind?
You are 100% correct, you are the true son of your father
PoliticsRe: How Many Of His Promises Has Jonathan Kept? by manfred10(m): 8:28am On Jan 10, 2013
Iolo: To look at it objectively without being a GEJ supporter but a supporter of progress no matter the political affiliation of the facilitator, I'd say that GEJ has kept or is trying to keep up on a number of his promises.

Some of them such as building airports in every state probably shouldn't have been made at all as they don't make any sense.

Others such as creating jobs have been fulfilled partially through the Youwin and Sure-P programs.
Electricity generation is coming up gradually. We currently have the capacity to generate I think 7000MW to 9000MW but for gas and evacuation issues at the new power plants. The Geregu pp is almost up and govt has given contractor the go-ahead to construct the 3000MW Mambilla dam. These issues are being worked on. I have also taken time to notice new transformers and some smaller step down units being installed in various parts of Lagos state courtesy NIPP.

The TCN has been handed over to Manitoba, a private international firm for effective management. He is also seeing through the OBJ era privatisation scheme by continuing the privatization process.

In terms of Education, he's opened up the north with the Almajiri schools and more universities. Don't know what he's doing about those in the south.

In terms of Transport, roads rehabilitation has been below par except for the Lagos-Benin and the recent awarding of the Lagos Ibadan portion to Julius Berger and RCC, haven't heard of any other construction anywher else. Trains are up and running across the South west to the North that I know of. I see a lot of Lagosians enter trains daily. These trains run from Ota or so to Iddo and cost just 50 naira, so they are a real money saver to the thousands of people who take them to and fro daily.

He's concluded the Onitsha port. The river Niger is presently being dredged. A huge portion has been dredged already.

The Airports have been refurbished...for the first time since almost all of them were built. We now have a Doppler radar and improved runways for instrument landing.

He's employed the highest number of women in his cabinet keeping his promise for gender equality.

He's sent the PIB to the NASS for passage. The PIB would remove the rubbish that NNPC, DPR, PPPRA presently are and replace them with institutions that would be listed on the stock exchange. The PIB also seeks to renegotiate Nigeria's cut on Joint Ventures with the Oil coys.

He signed the FOI bill into law. OBJ blatantly refused to do so.

He has empowered INEC so we now have elections that have some semblance to what occurs in other sane countries.

He recently removed duty on Airline spare parts to make it cheaper for Airlines to do maintenance. The Aviation ministry also plans to buy 30 aircraft for the various Airlines.

This is what I can remember for now. And I guess one should be able to make an inference from the above.

Our major problem is that the rot is just too much to have it all cleared up in only a few years of GEJs leadership.
This is a reasonable assesment but he has left the most destructive desease which is corruption untouched, his general performance is still less than average.corruption will destroy all he is building in less than 2years.If he goes for corruption he would be tackling 60% of our country's ailment

PoliticsRe: Who Is Better At Leadership? GEJ Or Yar'adua. by manfred10(m): 6:54pm On Dec 31, 2012
Knowledge9000: I can say confidently that most of the people saying that Yar'Adua was better are the same naive, gullible individuals who voted for Jonathan while Buhari was a formidable option. Like they didn't expect Jonathan to be a failure. Trust me, go and check their voter's registration record or click on their Username and see their past posts during 2011 election...make sure you click their username and read their past posts during the 2011 election before attacking me as I have done this. Useless swines. The same id$iots will bypass Buhari again in 2015 and vote for another Retardeen and cry corruption, fuel scarcity, e.t.c. Some of us need to be dealt with mercilessly until we can say...I know the right thing to do. Here we have man like Buhari, who took out loans ( borrowed money from Bank) in the 80s and 90s to build the houses he owns in Abuja and Kaduna. Had he borrowed these monies, let's say 5 yrs ago, 10 yrs ago, then it would have been suspicious, as though he is trying to fuss himself as a righteous man. But he took out these loans more than 20yrs ago not knowing that he would be looked up to today as the ONE. This shows the kind of man he his.
. My broda you are right that is what nigerians deserve, most of us are nepotists, tribalist and short sited
, tomorow they will still vote for another thief and clueless man just because he is a christian or from their part of the country. But Tinubu helped GEJ to rigg in the south west sha

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Continues To Impress!! by manfred10(m): 9:18pm On Dec 14, 2012
Free and fair election my arsè! Your messiah got 1.1mil votes from my state, out of the registered 1.2mil voters, suggesting more than 85% turnout! Is that ur definition of free and fair? The only lesson i learnt from Edo and ondo elections was that elections should be done over a period of time, say 2 states per day, then next day for another 2 states so as to reduced rigging. Edo and osun was devoid of pdp rigging simply b'cos everyone's eyes and attention was there, so they kept track of most ballot boxes.
Try again dude.[/quot] GBAM you hit the nail on the head.True talk people are so naïve and confused that is why we continue having idiots and fools as leaders

PoliticsRe: Should Buhari Contest For Presidency Again In 2015? by manfred10(m): 6:52pm On Dec 05, 2012
Nashville: In a opinion he should not. Nigerians have rejected him three times already and I do not think they will accept him a fourth time. As someone said earlier, he already has a bad image especially in the South and he has done little to change it. People just see him as an Islamist and I cant see the justification.

If he truely means well, he should find a credible person within his party or another party to support - someone more electable than him and who carries his vision. Presidency is not about personal ambition, it is about serving the people and if they have rejected you, then you need to accept it and move on.

I also wouldn't vote for him if he contested. Although he says he will fight corruption, I do not think he has a great understanding of 21st century issues. I personally will not support anyone with a military background as I think we have had enough of them. And we have had enough of GEJ too. Let's see
he was not rejected,he was rigged out three times, military background or no military background,a good leader is a good leader, check your history man,you are outdated
