Right from when I saw the draw I knew we won't make it to group stage. It's not today Nigerian clubs started bungling 2 or 3 goal lead from 1st leg. Their home advantage mentality - they always concede defeat away from home even before match starts.

For the benefits of those who may want to pick up this challenge, I will share some of my experience.

I work at Ikeja and stay at Igando.
Transportation from my Igando to Ikeja(my office) is about ₦1200-1500 depending on how you do it. However, I take BRT ₦700 from Igando to Ikeja.
This reduced the cost of my transportation per month drastically.


In my area there is no good light. My neighbors on generator every night.
To solve this problem, I bought Oraimo power bank 40,000 mah for 39k at Oraimo office and bought Duravolt rechargeable fan at 25k. There is always light at my office, I charge my power bank at office, then come home to enjoy my rechargeable fan without heat.

In summary, instead of blaming anybody, assess your unique financial situation, make adjustment to give you better edge.

4) I enabled auto reinvestment of returns from 3 above

When will I say I am there? When what is in step 3 above is generating what can take care of 100% of my expenses with room for charity. After meeting this target, I will retire to a village home, set up a carpentry and welding shop where I will be producing for people in the city bent on consuming

I am not saying that the team did marvelously well, they were shambolic especially in the final third. In the game against Guinea-Bissau, We completed most of our passes in the opposition's half. We completed a total of 311 passes, 201 in the opposition's half and 110 in our own half and guess the duo that controlled most of those passes: Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi (the midfield) they contributed a total of 108 passes which is roughly one third of the total passes (311) that we stringed together Our problem was not the midfield this time.

Looking at the stats above, you can see clearly that the midfield is doing its job.

Clearly, it seems like the sting of defeat is making a lot of people blind to the individual performances of these players. The problem with the national team has more to with the personnel at the helm of affairs.

First of all a midfielder is rated primarily on the number of passes of the ball he completes, because that reveals ball retention, progression, and domination of play. A defense midfielder is rated by how much he protects the backline, destroys the opponent's play through tackles, duels, interception of passes etc.

In the game against Madagascar:
Ndidi completed more passes of the ball - 58/63 with an accuracy of 92% more than any midfielder that played that game (even more than Iwobi in both the number of passes completed and in accuracy)
Wilfred Ndidi made more defensive contributions than any midfielder, only a defender (Sandro Trémoulet) made the same number of defensive contributions.
Wilfred Ndidi made more tackles than any player on the pitch.
No midfielder or player on the pitch had more interceptions of the ball (2) than Wilfred Ndidi

No outfield player made more recoveries of the ball (9) compared to Ndidi only a goalkeeper (Fernando Embadjé) had more.

NIgeria's problem is not tribalism. Tribalism is only a symptom of a deeper issue. Our problem is that we have not all agreed on what our true problem is. If i say it now, dem go say I dey point fingers at someone else. People need to learn to follow the money (resources) in the grand scheme of things, then it will make a whole lot of sense.

Most of us from minority tribes are detribalised and tend to think it is not but it is a major contributor. It breeds the following:
-lack of patriotism
-mistrust and loopsided appointment for which federal character and quota was introduced. This creates another issue of mediocrity and incompetence.
-it is our turn syndrome
-lackn of interest in controlling population growth sonas to have advantage in resource sharing and elections.
-seeing reforms as being targeted at your tribe no matter how noble the reform is.

Check cutoff mark for unity schools, NDA, etc. Check the scores of those who gain admission via ELDS. Check academic records of government employees. Do this state by state basis.

Check the records of countries representing Africa at U17, U20 tournaments. Do this on CAF regional block by CAF regional block which form basis for world cup qualification.

If after checking all this, you still don't understand, then forget it.

You don't give more slots to incapable teams. If cost is the issue as many have argued for the current arrangement, then West Africa should have been given more slot based on previous record or archivement as is done in FIFA tournaments.

I believe FCMB will do very well this year too. It may not pay up to N5.00 as dividend but it will certainly pay more than N4.00. And for a N11.90 stock, I think N4.00 - N4.90k dividend is an excellent deal. I also believe the share price will get to at least N25.00 before the year runs out considering their strong desire to correct their past errors and the massive forecast they posted last week.
