Politics / Youths As The Ambassador Of Change by Mankos(m): 12:19pm On Aug 12, 2021
INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY, A CALL FOR US TO REALIZE OUR YOUTHFULNESS.

I joined the youth across the world particularly Nigeria to celebrate the International youth Day 12th August 2021.

Today provide a moment of celebration and reflection on some of the most critical challenges facing the youth, and are associated with their development, in their respective communities.

Nigerian youth today are attached with religion, ethnic and political leaning to a point that we cannot longer speak the truth. Our education is becoming useless, Our moral in speaking to the power is disrespectful, Our greediness to acquire wealth by power by force is alarming, there is no longer moral rectitude, immorality has clothes us, ostentatious life become the order of the day, youth are directly affected by the tragic contradictions that prevail today.

Inspite these ugly pictures painted above, we can lead a global drive to break the patterns of the past and set the world on course to a more sustainable future.

Youth can deliver solutions on these issues by a view to building partnerships cutting across governments, private sector, youth groups and youth forums that will all advocate for youth inclusiveness in governance, public conversation on youth challenges with a specific focus on entrepreneurial and vocational skills development and financial assessment.

The future of every nation lies in the hand of it's youth, we the youth determine Nigeria as long as Nigeria determine us, we are the potential leaders of the country.

We must make up our minds to change our attitudes to become patriot, cue ourselves in to politics to make a change not to aggrandize public wealth for our personal use, shun sentiment, unite to fight our enemy "Corruption" in our minds, homes, schools, offices, churches and mosques.

Youth are the vanguard of the revolution and vehicle to change we are yearning for. Don't undermine urself, you can make a change by getting involved.

Amb. Manko Abdulkadir,
Wadata Ward Ambassador to
National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) Bida Chapter.

Politics / Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Lawmaker Lambasted by Mankos(m): 9:11pm On Apr 25, 2020
Journalism teacher lambasts SMA for underperformance

A journalism teacher in the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Mr. Abdulkadir Abdullahi Yahaya has lambasted the House of Representatives member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency, Honourable Saidu Musa Abdul over what he described as the lawmaker's gross underperformance in office.

Yahaya who revealed this in a critical commentary on Facebook today observed that the lawmaker popularly known as SMA had yet to deliver on any of his campaign promises 10 months after his inauguration.

He argued that SMA's gross underperformance and insensitivity to the plight of his constituents could no longer be tolerated, more so as his colleagues in other parts of the country had since hit the ground running.

Yahaya who was former secretary and member of different campaign committees constituted by the lawmaker prior to election, maintained that the lawmaker was fond of engaging in wild goose chase while abandoning more realistic and practical initiatives that would benefit the mass of his constituents.

"As for the bill on establishment of a new university, I don't see anything worth celebrating in it other than an achievement that is based on imagination rather than reality.

My judgment is that he only brought them to the public fora so as to score cheap political points even though he knew too well that it will hardly scale through the executive quarters, and believing that many unsuspecting people in our constituency will be easily hoodwinked to see him as a hardworking representative," he explained.

Yahaya however acknowledged the lawmaker's effort in attracting a federal government intervention on construction of a block of 8 classrooms at Bagudu Waziri Primary School in Bida, and enjoined him to do more.

Politics / PDP State Chairman Defects To APC by Mankos(m): 7:20pm On Jan 07, 2019
Defection: PDP reacts as former Chairman, two governorship aspirants, treasurer, ex-minister join APC
dailypost.ng Jan 6, 2019 9:39 AM

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the recent defection of its former Niger State Chairman, Abdulrahman Enagi to the All Progressives Congress, APC, barely a month to the general elections.

Enagi dumped the party alongside two former governorship aspirants, Ahmed Baka and Engr. Hanafi Sudan; and others.

In a statement by the party’s chairman, Tanko Beji, the PDP asked the party’s supporters to remain focused “and refuse to be distracted by the action of a few people.”

It said, “those who defected are moles in the party.”

PDP said that the party was not moved by the series of defections in the past weeks.

“The defectors are good riddance to bad rubbish,” he added.

Enagi, Baka, Sudan and the PDP State Treasurer, Ibrahim Ibeto, and one time President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee and former Minister of Sports, Alhaji Sani Ndanusa, dumped the party recently.

Beji said, “Those that left the party are lone rangers who cannot command 10 supporters in their various wards.

“The former chairman, the governorship aspirants, treasurer are unpopular Abuja politicians.”
