pgiddy: I kip wandering why people keep putting more significance in the begininning of a new year, is it not just a mere change in a day, and also in date. To me, evry day is unique, and if u'll always greet me happy new year,so u shld always say happy new day. Just saying though. Share your thoughts.

Dont mind toba if I had ended the elecetion in 24 hours they would've lost. Even two years ago he was complaining to JeSouL accusing me of trying to rig the election then.

Returning to Nigeria in May after about 4 years to discover that one of my ex girlfriends was 5 months pregnant & wishing I was the faather.

^^^If this was the old nairaland where it was secret ballot which wasn't revealed until the day the voting ended then the Goshen camp would not have noticed that Goshenwas going to lose, therefore there would,ve been no Team Goshen campaign & defineately no God intervention

Logicboy03: The election part. I removed the election part so we can focus on the actions of atheists in 2013.

Well one thing you need to do is come up with more topics like this How Will Christianity Make My Life Better? An Atheist Asks! . Plus also nearer to the time like beginning of November you need to make a list of all the Nairaland atheists & send them a PM when the election starts in December. If you had their contact numbers & could call people like thehomer or Martian who were not active throughout the elections that's even better. I can still help you in my own way though but I won't say how.

If this same election had taken place last year when we were still using the old Nairaland with secret ballot voting am sure you would've won easily. But with this open voting system where everybody can see who's in the lead it just made things harder for you. I mean the christians were trying all kinds of tricks and stunts just to make sure they win the election. Its like fear of losing or fear of the unknown to them. Imagine someone like OAM4J a mod in the Politics section who i have never ever seen in this section before in my life just coming here to vote to influence who wins in the election. He should've been automatically disqualified from voting

I got a PM from Nairaland Headquarters telling me to end the voting (which was originally supposed to run until the 1st of January 2013) in about 24 hours. I called Mukina and told her that 24 hours was to short notice to end the election, she agreed, allowing me to extend the election for another 72 hours to give more people time to vote. And it was during the last 48 hours of those 72 hours that the team Goshen campaign group really sprung into action. Now thinking back if i had ended the election within 24 hours like i was originally told you would've won the election by one or two votes.

Good point! Why are our leaders (like Goodluck Johnathon) going to meet Pastors like adebayo & Pastor Chris? Do they need them to pray for them on how to run the country which is what they were elected to do?

........one thing though, 56+46+14=116 (lol, time to start petitioning the electoral office)

Oops! So you noticed my error well its supposed to be 58+46+14=118. From about 11:30 on the 25th I was up writing the names & marking the votes until about 2:30 am in the morning. It took me a lot longer than I thought to mark them & I was to tired to add them up. So I left a message.

manmustwac: It took me more than 2 & a half hours to count the votes but I never add them but I know the winner. I wan sleep now I will anounce the result in the morning.

Team Goshen who won by 12 votes were busy thanking & congratulating themselves for a job well done but unlike you none them even cared to thank me for conducting free & fair elections. Can you imagine if they'd lost they'll all be screaming foul play & accuse me of rigging & being biased because am an atheist.
