This is quite a shame. If the judges that are supposed to be upright and uphold the law are not trustworthy and have no integrity, then we have to be worried. I hope the best hands are picked for this delicate position.

pls I was interviewed on 11th august for business banker, and I have not heard from them. is there anyone who was interviewed on same day that av heard from them?

I was interviewed on the 12th, also no news... From past trends, they would get back after 2 to 3 weeks. So for now, Have no fear.

IamTosin doesn't want to use his eye to see the word marketing, lol... Tosin as entry level, from the look of things, uba would put you either in marketing or customer service, so get set. Not like that would be your permanent position... They are trying to rebrand and change the notion of people seeing Uba as a bank for the old, they want the younger generation to be in the forefront so that they can easily compete with the leading banks now that are youth driven.

Training school has been fun so far. Stressful too. Resume early and dismiss late.. There are strict ethics we have been told to adhere too.

First day at training school, looking good already... Nice lecture, nice food.

Unlike other banks that pay their staffs Education allowance, housing, quarterly, clothing and wardrobe & leave allowances, there's No such thing in Stanbic.

Are u from an IT background? During my interview, one of the interviewers asked what was going to happen to all of my IT skills when I become an enquiry officer.... He asked where I would love to be posted asides the enquiry officer position (dunno if at that point he was pitying my career as a computer scientist ending up behind a system attending to customers all day long or if he was trying to get me off guard and make me say I didn't like the enquiry officer position) I had to play safe and give an ambiguous reply, most times, one does not know what this interviewers really want...

Now as I think about it, the enquiry officer position looks boring from the perspective of a computer scientist though.

Looking at the last paragraph of that regret mail, it states the candidate would be considered for other position in the same unit,if the candidates would be ok with d role, the person can still be hopeful, perhaps other roles like enquiry officer, asset custodian etc, my thoughts though,

Could be true, but seems unrealistic. With the mass recruitment they are carrying out, they won't have such time to push candidates to other positions for another round of interview when they are still conducting fresh interviews for people for same role. The HR were just been diplomatic, my thoughts though.

hey peeps i was interviewed for the role of personal banking yesterday with 3yrs banking experienced coming from GT operation officer full staff...dey bombarded me wit questions cos i resigned to manage my brodaz company...dey kept hammering on that and dey were not convinced... dey said my dress code still portrays a GT outfit...I explained Taya...dey said dey will confirm from gt..dey said i applied cos am jobless... First of all, if you are sure you did well, then you did well. The fact that they were hard on you doesn't denote the fact that the interview was a poor one.

Before I had my interview l researched on the company and they Listed Gtb as one of their competitors (Gtb also did same) , so I feel their been touchy about GT and your colour code is just the normal "corporate beef", because they asked me which Bank I used , and when I said GTB, with a jealous look, one of the interviewers asked me, why GTB?

On a general note your comportment, the way you presented yourself and your general strength is what matters. All other gimmicks by the interviewers were just there to put you off balance, it shouldn't affect your scoring. Good luck bro

Then you don't have nothing to worry about. My friend said a guy who interviewed same day with her but with 2 years banking experience was successful and is on to the next stage.

I have not heard from them since my exco chat for personal banker on the 3rd of august. Hmm keeping hope alive. My guy got a regret mail for business banker too last night. He did he's interview last tuesday

From the look of things, The business banker and personal banker position requires experience (not necessarily banking experience)

Now I can thank God I interviewed for enquiry officer (I think this particular position is 0-2 years experience). Hopefully when I get a feed back, it would be on a positive note.

200k for entry level without experience? when I heard their ABO gets 175k brother, fear God oh. U want the woman to say "Okay we'll get back to you" immediately after I mention the salary?

I actually told them I researched their salary and would want to earn between abc amount to xyz amount. From what I heard, the entry level salary is within the said range though.

Its not ETA but BTA (Banking Transaction Assistant) . In Stanbic , there's BTA I, BTA II, ABO I, ABO II, BO and so on in that order. The Enquiry Officer role will fall under the BTA I grade and for the pay *lips sealed* (I can't discus that) .

About promotion, in Stanbic, its strictly based on performance.

Bro, no need mentioning the salary, but is it something to write home about? Is it up to 6 figures

I need to know because when asked how much I would like to earn, I gave them a range between a high range 5 figure and low range 6 figure.... Make them no see me like thief because after I gave the range, the woman asked me if it was negotiable , in my church mind, I jejely said yes, to avoid stories that touch.

From the look of things, some roles are experience dependent or prolly she didn't just do well at the interview. A friend of mine (entry level) was interviewed for the personal banker position 2 weeks ago, she just got a regret mail this evening. Has Any entry level here for personal banker gotten a success mail?

I heard that their package is not fixed especially for experienced hire.someone in your level can earn more than you if he has a higher bargaining power.

pay?. its strictly against the ethics of the bank. discussing pay on public forum. get your pre- offer letter first. the pay will be indicated and you can easily reject it if you have another alternative job paying higher. winks

I asked one of the HR's attending to us what grade entry level would be put on, she said ETA. Any ideas how much an ETA would earn? And how long before promotion to the next grade. Also aside basic salary, are there other allowances attached?
