CrimeBogus School Fraudster Nigerian On The Run From U.k by manuch(op): 4:11pm On May 02, 2016
A woman convicted of setting up a bogus business school, who has been on the run for nine months, was involved in a similar venture while standing trial.
Tina Beloveth Powerful, 48, formed Multi-Diversity College while facing charges of fraud and false advertising over the Milton Keynes-based Everest School of Transformational Management.
She was convicted over the Everest scam but failed to appear for sentencing.
Powerful is thought to be living in Nigeria.
A warrant has been issued for her arrest in the UK.

The case against Powerful and the Everest School of Transformational Management took place between August 2014 and July 2015.
She had offered courses and degrees she did not have the correct accreditation for and advertised facilities that did not exist, including a library.
The police has now discovered that while she was on trial Powerful formed another business school in nearby Bedford.
Companies House records show she is registered as a director of Multi-Diversity College UK, based in Duke Street at the home of the Nigerian Community Association.
The company was formed in February last year, with Powerful's husband Emmanuel Onyedike listed as its secretary and a fellow director.

Powerful ran her fraudulent Everest School of Transformational Management from her flat in Milton Keynes
There is no suggestion the company was involved in anything illegal, and it never actively traded.
The police understands Powerful and Mr Onyedike flew back to their native Nigeria last year following a death in the family.
One member of the Nigerian Community Association, who did not want to be named, said Powerful had come to them saying they wanted to start a college in Bedford.
"They came to me as I knew them as fellow Nigerians," she said.
"Right now she is actually in Nigeria. She went last year. I have written to her, but she hasn't replied."
Thames Valley Police said the warrant against Powerful remains outstanding.

SportsOlimpija Ljubljana Boss Leaves After Racial Abusing A Nigerian Player by manuch(op): 7:11pm On Apr 18, 2016
Olimpija Ljubljana coach Marko Nikolic has agreed to leave the Slovenian leaders a week after he racially abused one of his own players.

A video showed Nikolic, 36, calling Blessing Eleke a "black idiot" after he felt the Nigerian, 20, spent too long celebrating an equaliser.

The club initially refused to suspend the Serb, but the Slovenian FA banned him for seven games for "clear racism".

"He made a mistake and had to pay for it," chairman Milan Mandaric said.

"We have reached an agreement with Marko for him to resign as coach. He is a good coach, a good man," added the former Portsmouth, Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday owner.

Olimpija, who are two points clear in the Slovenian top flight, appointed Nikolic earlier this year after he was sacked by Partizan Belgrade in his homeland in 2015.

They drew 1-1 against Zavrc on 10 April thanks to Eleke's first home goal for the club following his January move from league rivals Gorica.

Nikolic said he made "an emotional reaction" as Eleke's celebration meant there was less time for a winner and "never intended to offend the player racially".

SportsVictor Moses Says He Is 'committed' To Nigeria by manuch(op): 12:57pm On Feb 07, 2016
West Ham winger Victor Moses has reiterated his commitment to Nigeria after he was accused by fans and local media in Nigeria of putting club before country.

Moses, 25, starred as Nigeria clinched the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, but his search for consistency on the international scene has been hampered by a series of niggling injuries.

His last Super Eagles appearance was in the 2-0 loss to France at the 2014 World Cup but he insists his commitment to Nigeria should not be questioned.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to play due to injuries but I have an unwavering commitment to Nigeria

"It's the best feeling representing your country and I always want to perform and give 100% for the team.

Moses' debut and last international appearance came under Stephen Keshi, who was fired after the country failed to qualify for the 2015 Nations Cup.

Keshi's successor, Sunday Oliseh, said Moses remains part of his plans despite pulling out of crucial friendlies against DR Congo and Cameroon last October.

Oliseh's comments were a timely boost for fit-again Moses who has played in West Ham's last five matches after recovering from a hamstring injury.

"There is a new manager and the team has been doing well but without me," said Moses, who misses the involvement.

"I'm prepared to give it my all and fight for a place on a regular basis, that's my aim.

"This is football, a competitive stage and I have to fight hard to get in but I don't mind doing that."

Former Crystal Palace and Wigan player Moses joined Chelsea in August 2012, but has spent the past two seasons on loan.

Moses, who also had loan spells at Liverpool in 2013-14 and Stoke last season, moved to West Ham on loan in September 2015 after signing a new four-year deal with his parent club.

At international level, he committed himself to Nigeria despite having represented England at junior levels, up to the Under-21 team.

"I am delighted to bring him to Dundee United.

"He will improve the squad and aid our determined fight to climb the table."

SportsChelsea Communication Better Under Hiddink - Mikel by manuch(op): 7:05pm On Jan 31, 2016
Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi says communication has improved within the team since the arrival of interim manager Guus Hiddink.

The Dutchman took over at Stamford Bridge in December after the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.

And Mikel told BBC's Football Focus that the mood is better.

"It's the way he communicates with the players and maybe that's what the players felt they didn't get from the previous manager," he said.

"Sometimes players - not just because they're not playing - you need to communicate with them. You need to speak to them and don't just ignore them because players like to be communicated to.

"This is what [Hiddink] has brought into the football club. In some ways you barely know he is in there, he is that calm and relaxed."

Hiddink, who led Chelsea to FA Cup triumph in 2009, took over with the Blues 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone. They are currently 13th, nine points off the final Champions League place.

The Nigerian was linked with a move away from the club last summer but Mourinho reportedly refused to sanction his departure. However, he has become a regular under Hiddink.

SportsEmmanuel Emenike: Al Ain Coach Urges Fans To Lay Off Striker by manuch(op): 8:44pm On Nov 09, 2015
Coach Zlatko Dalic has urged Al Ain fans to lay off Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike after he was booed during a UAE league match on Saturday.
Emenike, on loan from Fenerbahce, has scored four goals in seven games for the league leaders.
But he was jeered by a section of his own supporters when he was substituted in the 86th minute against Al Jazira.
"Please, our fans, be patient, give everyone a chance, to me, to my team, to Emenike," Dalic said.
"I cannot be happy with the reaction of some people. We won, we played fantastic and some people criticised Emenike.
"It's not easy, but we didn't deserve this reaction, especially after the Jazira game. It was very bad.
"I understand our fans always want a fantastic performance, always five goals but it's not possible.
"Please, support our team and our players will play better. In the last game, in front of 15,000 people, my players were fantastic. I expect it to always be like this and they support our team."
Emenike joined the Emirates club in July as a replacement for Ghanaian Asamoah Gyan, who scored 128 goals, won three domestic league titles and was top scorer in the Arabian Gulf League three times in a four-year spell.
Dalic has warned the fans not to expect Emenike to replicate Gyan's success.
"The last game we won Emenike was part of our victory. For me, he played very well, did a great job, but only missed scoring a goal," said Dalic.
"Maybe it was Emenike's best performance for me. I know everyone expects more goals, expects him to be a replacement for Asamoah Gyan. As I told you on his first day, it's not easy to replace Gyan.
"If somebody needs criticism, criticise me, not my players. Because I put him in the team, I put him on the pitch; I will take everything on my back. But give support to my players."
Emenike, who announced his retirement from internationals last month, is no stranger to controversy.
Back in March he demanded to be substituted after being booed by his own fans duringFenerbahce's 1-0 home win over rivals Besiktas.
Emenike reacted angrily to jeers after losing the ball and took his shirt off, storming off the pitch, only be to be talked back on by his coaching staff. He was replaced at half-time.
