Good morning, I'm not against recovery of assets but we all know that a dog must be given a bad name just to hang...

Let me narrow this down, assets must have been recovered but the number of duplexes mentioned is questionable in that Gwarimpa, Sunnyvale (largest estate in FCT) etc have sold most of the duplexes in their estate to individuals. I lived in River Park though Emefiele may have house(s) their like some past government officials; he certainly will not have a large chunk of building in River Park.

My point is simple, assets must have been recovered but the number listed is questionable, thank you.

It's when you come out to contest a public position that you'll know how some people are well- versed in the vocation of twisting your reality into falsity. They'll tell people how faulty your WAEC certificate is when it actually has no fault. In public contest, it's part of the ingredients that spice up the meal of politics. You'll be reminded how you are not from your community of origin in which you were born and nurtured, but somewhere else. If you don't rebut it immediately, it'll gain weight and become believable.

Some people in Ebonyi are gossiping that if Prof. Ben Odoh straightened his academic credentials, he'd not be struggling to explain how he acquired same. I just laugh at them. They don't know that there are people who specialize in propaganda, and are paid handsomely to propagate one against a targeted person. If you are such a targeted person, wouldn't you defend yourself at all costs? If you keep quiet too long a time, won't it mean concession?

Odoh was brought into the Federal University of Gusau by the first vice chancellor of the new university, Professor Ben-chuks Okeke to help him establish the department of Geology in the new federal varsity. That was in 2013. At that point, Odoh was already an Associate Professor at UNIZIK. He got his PhD in 2008. The Gusau university projected him for full professorship in 2015 after first serving as a visiting professor in the university. A panel of three lecturers was set up to assess him. One was Prof. Emeka Ekwueze of UNICAL. Second was Prof. P. O Okeke of UNN. Third was Prof. Isaac Aigbedion of Ekpoma, Edo Sate. The three academics assessed Odoh and said that he won the assessment by 170 marks instead of the minimum of 110 marks required. Their remarks on Odoh are imprint. I read them.

Odoh's name was later forwarded to the university which later in November, 2015 confirmed him a substantive Professor, backdating it to October, 2015. These men but one are still alive. They swore affidavits to back up their claims of assessing Odoh and recommending him for professorship. Kaura, the Registrar of the university at that time has also confirmed that he was fully aware of it, and that Odoh is a full Professor.

So, the issue of him being a professor or not should not be made a serious basis for ascertaining the veracity of his claim of qualification to become a VC. UNIZIK's laws say that to become VC, you must be a professor of 9 years standing. Calculate 2015 till now and say if Odoh isn't up to 9 years as a professor. When you are contesting a position, you encounter propaganda at its peak. The challenge Odoh had was that he didn't have a media team to take up his defense at the dawn of this VC-ship struggle. He allowed his adversaries to gain traction in the media against him. So, if you don't like Odoh, use another metric in conveying that and not that he has questionable academic records. You have not had a personal knowledge of him; why are you impugning him? You know a person you have been with, or have their antecedents on public space, not because people say one or two odd things about them.

One needs to diligently query certificates from all these glorified secondary schools like Unizik, Fugus etc. Little wonder, most of their certificates are not recognized outside Nigeria and serious employers don't accept their certificates. These obscene and appalling things I am reading may be far deeper.

If Dr Odoh Bernard was not appointed as VC, the bubble wouldn't have burst open like this. Imagine the number of dissertations he has approved as a 'professor '. There will probably still be many like him in these glorified secondary schools like Unizik, Fugus etc.

Don't choose or attend schools like these glorified secondary schools but many will not listen because they don't want to study very hard, re-write JAMB and WAEC then score very high to meet the high admission standards of prestigious schools like UNILAG, UI et al.

The Minister of Education should audit these things to weed out all dubious professors in the system. I heard of a very serious academic fraud in UNN involving a Professor too. That academic fraud scandal reportedly has taken an international dimension sef. NUC needs to take its job more seriously!

I thought NUC had a platform to monitor these things yet this scenario occurred. Heads need to roll in NUC too.

I love your comment but i must admit that you are wrong.

First, the kids are owned by both parents. Therefore, the decision as per the kids welfare after separation should be joint taken by both parties. The man is been treated as a secondary decision maker instead of principal/major decision maker. So, the man is merely been informed after the woman has taken decision. This is wrong.

Did you also consider the child's welbeing?

This is key and should not be overlooked. Fathers play a crucial role in the development and well-being of their children. Few reasons why kids need their dad include:
1. Emotional Support
2. Role modelling
3. Discipline and Structure
4. Diverse perspectives
5. Healthy relationships, etc


I should also remind you that a female kids, first love is their DAD, not the mom.

Did you also consider the man's well-being who needs his kids for him to live a meaning and proud life?
Many men realise a sense of purpose, fulfilment, legacy, joy and laughter, etc from their kids. It is terribly mean to deprive a man of that, especially after cheating on him
Most people make the mistake of undermining the importance of kids in a man's life. Pls dont do that.

You also need to understand that most men get attached to their kids, especially the female children.
Besides, y should a man - the provider- be deprived of his kids. They are the sum total of his suffering and hustle.

Just to add, the man takes care of his kids. He Had to stop after he felt deprived of his kids. He isnt running from his duty. He is more than ready to provide if only he can have access to them.

Regarding the man going to see the kids. Do you know the type of relationship he has now with his ex-inlaws? I am pretty sure he doesnt have good one with his ex-wife, let alot with the inlaws. Do you even know if they have cordial relationship.

I appreciate your maturity and sense of humor but he is insinuating that the Ex is only using the daughters to get back at him. Let me sincerely say this: my wife cheated on me and we got separated as a result of her adulterous lifestyle, i wouldn't allow her go with my kids(to avoid the narrative that she is using my kids against me) if i know that i can take care of my kids. That was his mistake which brought about all these issues.

I read some people saying: can he bath, feed, take the kids to sch etc. Someone even said that he only contributed 5 minutes via intercourse in the making of the baby. I know the responsibilities of every father, the day a man marry, his responsibilities must multiply by 50 or more percent.

One thing is certain, despite anything that happens, our society must blame a man and protect woman when it comes to marriage so he should look for a way to settle with his Ex because of the daughters which he believe that his Ex is using against him and he should not contemplate/ let alone saying that he would leave his children because he has issues with his Ex, that's uncalled for, thank you.

Floating our currency remains his greatest undoing, subsidy should go but floating Naira at the same time is heartlessness. Good evening, i know that it's not easy but we must not relent ok; i was at Wuse to see a friend and someone from "Presidency," (i saw his ID card) came to fix his phone screen, he couldn't buy a new screen but beg for any available "fairly used screen," he bought it for 6k and fixed it with 1k.

I was surprised because what someone remove from his phone was what a staff in the "Presidency" graciously bought and fixed in his own phone.
