Cut the crap!!!!

All the of the programme you are giving Jonathan credit for were already in process before Jonathan became President. Whether it dredging of River Niger or making Enugu International Airport.

Ihejirika is not the head of Nigeria's service chiefs, Air Marshall Paul Dike was once CDS and his position betters Ihejirika so please do not make noise about that.

Before Ihejirika was appointed, Jonathan was on a mission to cleanse Igbos from federal Government. Foreign Minister Position went from Ojo Maduekwe to Odein Ajumogbia, Education Minister went from Sam Egwu to Prof Raqia, Ndi Okereke was removed as head of NSE and replaced by Non-Igbo, Prof Iwu was replaced by Prof Jega, Ernest ndukwe of NCC was replaced by whom I do not know.

PDP Chairman Vincent Ogbulafor was treated and hounded for no reason. They claimed he embezzled $1m 5years ago (just because he tried to uphold zoning in the interest of the South East) and replaced him with another who possibly embezzled $230m just because Nwodo with heavy corruption allegation hanging on his neck he will be in Jonathan's pocket.

He did not see any reason to take the South East seriously and we were almost unexistent untill he realised that his political maths does not add up and the SE will be needed for electoral victory then he appointed Ihejirika.

That will not fly. He has no policies for the South East.

After Jonathan Presidency either in 2015 or 2019; power will move to either North central or North East before it will move again to South East in 2027. It will be ok if Jonathan is worth it but he is not.

Yes Power is rotating between both regions and geopolitical zones at the same time and there is nothing anybody can do about it. Not Jonathan, not Edwin Clarke nor Ralph Uwechue.

There is nobody who believes in zoning in the South East who can not see the plane fact that power can not move directly from South South to South East in 2015. And anybody who claims this is possible clearly do not have the interest of the South East at heart and possibly not from the South East.

This kind of treatment is surely not that of a friend. The South East is only Jonathan's friend to the extent that we midwife his misguided ambition to remain President based on nothing.

THE PDP ZONING POLICY MUST BE RESPECTED.

Do us a favour, why do you support Jonathan?

Is he a member of Ohaneze?

What programs did he outline in his declaration speech that will specifically favour Igbos?

Is Jonathan running at this time not a destruction of the PDP zoning policy?

How can Ralph Uwechue support both Jonathan running in 2011 and the PDP zoning policy at the same time?

Under what zoning policy is Uwechue plotting to bring power to South East in 2015? The one invented by Uwechue/Clarke?

It looks like we have a situation where Edwin Clarke is running Ohaneze Ndigbo because he already has control of Ralph Uwechue.

A partern is emerging on how Jonathan will govern Nigeria, coup upon coup in all works of life all done behind the scene and it is unfortunate that Ohaneze has allowed itself to become the latest victim of this tactics.

It is the voice of Jacob, the hand of Essau.

From the attempt to convert FG employees to PDP delegates
To getting Ralph Uwechue to endorse Jonathan on behalf of Ohaneze only to get Imeobi to approve it retrospect 3 weeks later
To the locking out of Igbo personalities in Owerri
To plotting to install a new Chairman of Governors forum without the consent of Governors
To running for election on the platform of PDP against its zoning policy.

It is piling up and shows a President whose pass  time is to abuse and disrespect laid down rules.

This President is a criminal and Ndigbo must not follow Ralph Uwechue while he hijacks Ohaneze to pursue the agenda of his dumb South-South brother.

Ken Nnamani, ABC Nwosu, Jim Nwobodo and all those who do not support this madness by Uwechue must come together and publish a unified statement condemning the behaviour of Ralph Uwechue and his Ohaneze.

If Ndigbo follow Jonathan into the political wilderness then Uwechue should be held responsible.

I really don't know that we owe the Ijaws any favours to engage in this madness. Jonathan is not Igbo, he is not Ibibio, he is not Efik . . . . he is from the very tribe that betrayed us. And yet he is not a great President. What is the point of this endorsement? Who is funding the advertorials?

Jonathan is dumb, he may be the incumbent but he will surely be a failure and Ndigbo must find a more sensible political future.

Ralph Uwechue has simply thrown the Igbo interest under the bus to uphold the South-South agenda because he is from South-South.

If Jonathan was worth it then fair enough but Jonathan is clearly not worth it.

But Jonathan said the office of President is and was never zoned, rather after a President emerges other offices get shared.

Why does Ralph Uwechue believe that a President who does not believe in zoing the office of President will zone the Presidency to South East come 2015 in consecutive successions?

Who is fooling who?

Ralph Uwechue must be kicked out nex month, I will be mobilising for his removal.
PoliticsRe: Ohaneze Solidly Behing Ibb - Obinna Uzoh by marcdunu(op): 12:14pm On Oct 28, 2010

Uwechue's explanation seems very logical and credible. I know that Ohanaeze never endorsed a candidate for Nigeria's presidency in the past; I don't see why they shouldn't. When everybody is talking, nobody is talking. undecided I hate unbridled republicanism. undecided
Ndigbo had a sense of oneness and unity during the days of the Igbo State Union. We miss that! So, if Uwechue can bring back those days, I say he should move full steam ahead! cool He seems like a very capable hand. He has demonstrated uncommon ability to negotiate and be very diplomatic. In my book he is emerging the best Ohanaeze president so far (sorry to my bros Ikedife). Well done Uwechue. cool cool
Do not allow Uwechue con you. Do you honestly believe power can move directly from South-South to South East under any zoning arangement whatsoever?

There are two school of thoughts in the zoning debate, one wants it between the 6 geopolitical zones while some say it should be North vs South. Whats seems to be happening is an integration of both.

SW - NW - SS - NC - SE - NE

You can see from above that what seems to be happening is that it is swinging between North and South and yet all the geopolitical zones are taking turns when it comes to their region.

So for Uwechue to insinuate that under any zoning arrangement whatsoever power will move from South South to South East in consecutive successions is the biggest con in the history of Ohaneze Ndigbo as this will never happen.

What Ohaneze faithfuls need to look at also is whether Uwechue is putting the interest of his geopolitical zone over the interest of Ohaneze. Uwechue is as Igbo as anyone else but he is also from the South South. So don't be scammed.

If Jonathan was going to be Nigeria's Abraham Lincoln or Ronald Raegan then fair enough but the man is a very dumb President and Ndigbo should not invest its political future in the hands of a man who will be an INEVITABLE FAILURE!!!!!

Ohanaeze solidly behind IBB – Uzoh
Politics Oct 27, 2010 Although the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is yet to pick its presidential standard bearer, a chieftain of the party, Dr. Obinna Uzoh, says the fate of the PDP hangs on its zoning principle.

In an interactive session with journalists in Abuja, he also defines the path the South-East should toe and endorsed Genl Ibrahim Babangida’s presidential aspiratio. Execerpts:

Last week, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in an advertorial, expressed support for President Goodluck Jonathan, while also supporting zoning. As a key politician from the South-East and member of the zone’s political intelligentsia, is this the product of consensus?

Obinna Uzoh
That advertorial is not the position of South East. If it were it is not only one person that would have authored and signed it. In the said advertorial, it was only Amb Ralph Uwechue who signed.

We know that Ohanaeze is not a one-man organization. There is a secretary general and other executives. Have you ever wondered why they did not sign if that was actually the position of Ohanaeze? I doubt if Amb. Uwechue actually signed it. If he did, then he must have his private reasons for doing so. I suspect that he may have been under pressure to do so, if he actually signed the advertorial.

However, I want you to know that Igbo are too sophisticated to take such a position. The Ohanaeze, which represents all Igbo, would not commit such political suicide.

Ohanaeze, in the true sense of it, had variously expressed the desire to have an Igbo become president in 2015 and they know the man who had made a promise in that regard.

Ohanaeze is solidly behind Babangida. They cannot be hoodwinked. Uwechue’s view, which he wants the world to believe that he spoke for Igbo is inconceivable. He only canvassed his own personal positions.

The issue of zoning in your party, the PDP, has simply refused to die. Ohanaeze also expressed an unambiguous position on the issue. What’s your take?

Clarity in evaluating politically sensitive issues is important. Clarity is lacking in several of the positions being canvassed to kill the zoning principle in PDP. The considerable heat generated over the issue of zoning underlies its seriousness as a party concept. It was not lightly conceived.

A lot of thought was invested in its conceptualisation and the larger, peculiar Nigerian picture was taken into account. This was why it was a written component of the party’s constitution. Notwithstanding the political challenges, fears and reservation from some quarters, that principle should be adhered to closely.

A section of the PDP has decided, in its wisdom that President Goodluck Jonathan can run for the 2011 presidential polls and simultaneously that other contenders within PDP can also run.

This sets the stage for the next phase of political engagements that will shape the future of PDP as the nation’s ruling party and possibly determine its viability or otherwise.

Anybody who says that PDP has killed zoning by saying that President Jonathan could contest is wrong. The zoning principle was done after series of meetings by the NWC, NEC and then it was endorsed at a convention.

If the party genuinely wants to jettison zoning, as a principle enshrined in its constitution, the same process would be followed. That means that the NWC, NEC and finally the National Convention would have to expunge the clause from the party constitution. Until this is done, the principle remains and the party’s executives, as stated by the PDP constitution, would have to enforce it.

The letter by the National Chairman of PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, when he was the national secretary and Chief Tony Anenih, as chairman of the BOT of the PDP underlined zoning. There is no ambiguity about it. PDP’s viability, as an important political party, hangs on its zoning principle, as enshrined in its constitution. I don’t see our great party making a mistake on this.

It’s no secret that you remain a consistent advocate of a Babangida presidency in 2011. Of all the PDP candidates in contention currently, why are you supporting the former military president?

Gen Ibrahim Babangida is not a political greenhorn by any parameter of evaluation. He did not lightly signal his intention to contest the 2011 presidential polls.

It was a product of deep introspection, a trademark trait of his. With due respect to other contenders, I believe that at this moment of our national history and the rapid changes impacting the international arena, Nigeria needs a deep personality and thinker to guide its journey.

Babangida is the man. There are no sentiments here. Babangida enjoys wide followership in Nigeria today, despite the efforts of paid propagandists to paint a contrary picture. Because PDP controls an overwhelming majority of governments in Nigeria, including the Federal Government, its fate has fundamental connections with Nigeria’s fate. Many are probably not aware of this.

Nigeria must thread very carefully, as it navigates this critical bend in its democratic journey. Babangida is ready to submit himself to the electoral verdict of Nigerians. This position was clearly reinforced when he declared his presidential interest recently. He has that fundamental right.

Nigerians, in effect, must decide who their next president should be and this process must be fair this time. The era of impunity and electoral outcomes without electoral processes is over. That’s why some of us are saying that the orchestrated campaign of calumny against Babangida is undemocratic. Efforts have been made across the country to frustrate his campaign and rallies. This is bad for our democracy. We should let the electorate decide.

Babangida has been there before. What will he do differently this time?

He wants to change the fortunes of Nigeria for the better. He did it before and wants to do it even better this time. His previous scorecard justifies his comeback bid. It is there for all to see. He is a man who has learned deeply from history and is now ready to provide firm direction to our drifting country.

Babangida’s previous administration established NDE, BPE, People’s Bank, Community Bank, NERFUND, NALDA, and Export Processing Zones. Sadly, these significant innovations, policies and efforts were truncated for the reason of lack of continuity by government after him.

Nobody would forget his effort in the energy sector. To have stable power supply, the Babangida administration built Shiroro dam, refurbished Kainji, Jebba and Afam dams and power stations. He also developed Egbin and Sapele. In the oil and gas sector, it took the initiative to sign the first-ever MOUs with the international oil companies to increase Nigeria’s reserves.

He invited other international players, such as Statoil to join in exploration and production. He also actualized the Bonny LNG project, which had been on the drawing board since 1962. He built the second Port Harcourt refinery; constructed petroleum storage reserves, expanded pipelines distribution and also laid the foundation for the Eket Oso Condensate plant in 1991.

The then Babangida administration strengthened the Nigerian educational foundation through establishment of a Primary Education Fund to ensure prompt payment of salaries to teachers. It also promulgated Education Tax Decree of 1993, now ETF, aimed at sharing the burden of funding of education with the organised private sector.

It oversaw the ASUU/FG agreement of 1992, which stemmed the brain drain from Nigeria and established many specialized universities – agriculture, technology, etc. Deregulation of higher education, which it initiated, paved the way for private universities. It also established many specialised centres, such as the Mathematical Centre.

Babangida created Akwa Ibom and Delta states in South-South, among other states in Nigeria. Of course, I cannot exhaust the host of policy innovations his administration incepted. Look at the contenders’ field currently, who matches these? None. I also believe an IBB presidency would benefit the South-South immensely. Don’t forget his late dear wife hails from that zone.

The South-South women and all women should support IBB. No previous or current first lady has achieved what Maryam Babangida did for the rural Nigerian.

At a fundamental level, Igbo are expected to play a pivotal role in the presidential elections in 2011. Against the mixed signals emanating from their ranks, what is the way forward for your folks in the South-east?

The Igbo nation should vote for Babangida. They should rally round him, he has made a specific pledge to ensure that a Nigerian of Igbo extraction clinches the presidency in 2015. We should take into cognizance what he did for us in the past. I recall that in 1991, prominent Igbo traditional rulers feted him with the revered title of Ogugua Ndigbo, in recognition and appreciation of his services to Igboland.

Decades since after the civil war, the South-East still claims marginalisation. Is there really basis for these strident claims?

Of course, there are. This question also leads us to issues related to 2011. That’s why I counseled that the South-East should work for their future today. That’s why Babangida, as things stand, is our best bet for South East. Since Gen. Yakubu Gowon’s “no victor, no vanquished” mantra after the war, the zone has not been fully integrated.

We have five states while other zones have six each. The implication is that South East gets the least revenue and federal appointments. Until an Igbo become president that marginalisation would not end. South East therefore, has a date with destiny in 2015, when one of our own should be president. For this to come to pass we have to support Babangida, who has pledged to make this happen.

What would you say about the National Assembly’s rejection of President Jonathan’s proposed amendment to the Electoral Act?

We must commend the National Assembly for taking the bold step to stop what would have been a foundation for practicing against democracy.

The last may not have been heard about the botched summit in Owerri, Imo State of the South East Political Leaders Forum as the Secretary of the group, Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu was invited for interrogation by both the State Security Service (SSS) and the police on Monday for alleged treason and felony.

The leaders under auspices of Igbo Political Leaders Forum had converged on Owerri on September 27 for a much publicized conference, but had to hold the meeting in the open space as the Concorde Hotel venue was shut against them.

Prominent Igbo leaders like Chief Alex Ekweme, Jim Nwobodo, former governors Achike Udenwa and Sam Egwu, Chris Ngige, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Prof. Chinwe Obaji,Dubem Onyia, Ben Obi, and the Chairman of the Forum, Chief Simon Okeke stood in the sun for the summit and condemned the development as casting dark cloud on democracy in Nigeria.

Iwuanyanwu, who was with the Police FCT Command, Garki II on Monday for three hours, and yesterday for another three hours, also honoured the SSS invitation yesterday, where he was interrogated for two hours.
Daily Sun gathered that the invitation was not unconnected with a petition against him forwarded to the security agencies accusing the Igbo Political leaders scribe of planning to subvert the government and murder some unnamed persons.
The development triggered a meeting of the Igbo political leaders summoned by their arrow head, Chief Simon Okeke at his residence in Abuja, where the implication of the petition was discussed extensively.

Chief Iwuanyanwu told Daily Sun while at the FCT Police Headquarters yesterday that he was invited over a petition received by both the SSS and the Police. The invitation, Daily Sun learnt was to the effect that he went to the Owerri summit with military personnel and that he was engaged in anti-government activities in addition to attempted murder.

He stated that he denied all because he had nothing to do with the allegations saying, he was not surprised that things had taken the new dimension it had taken.
The Secretary explained that he was not surprised because he had two days earlier received an SMS message from an anonymous person claiming to be an agent with one of the security agencies. Through the message he was told that he should run away from the country because he would be accused and charged by government with treason, felony, murder and attempted murder.

“When eventually I was invited for questioning by both the Police and SSS, I was not surprised. But I would not why we could not express ourselves or align with any political grouping of our choice. It is unbecoming of a fledging democracy”, he stated.
The text message read: Hello Chyna. Am an Ibo man and senior staff of a govt security agency. Govt is planning to charge you for treason, felony, murder, and attempted murder all of which you are guilty of based on strong evidences from surveillance, monitoring, phone conversation, unguarded utterances and people around you which revealed disturbing and terrible and terrible findings about you which fastrack govt plan.

“They want to discredit the Igbo summit Group because of Gj’s ambition. I would have advise you leave the country for 2-3 months under the guise of receiving treatment abroad: break links woith those that did or presently doing hatchet jobs for your group. They are using some of them against you. Igbo must produce president in 2015. My father died in Biafra war front. Pls delete this message as soon as you read it and keep it to only yourself.”

The Igbo Leaders Scribe described the allegations as a pure political blackmail and an attempt to silence opposing views adding that what the Igbo are asking for is just and fair. “We are calling for an Igbo President by 2015, which means we are reasonable enough, we could have said we want it in 2011”, he added.
Chief Nwanyanwu said he was not harassed nor manhandled by the security agents, saying the policemen and the SSS operatives were gentlemen who applied decorum and didn’t embarrass him. This much, he explained was relayed to his leaders so that they will know that the security men were doing their work based on the petition written against me.

“I also showed them the text message I received two days earloier and they promised to get to the root of the matter”, he noted while boasting that the development would not in any way cow him or the Igbo Political Forum from championing the Igbo interest. “It will not deter me in any way from Championing Igbo interest; so far we are not subverting the system. Politics is a game of interest and we have got to advance the course of our people.”
When contacted, spokesperson of the SSS, Marilyn Ogah would neither confirm the development nor deny it as she said that the SSS office was a public place where people come and go and that anyone is free to come in at any time and go.
When asked specifically of the invitation of Chief Nwanyanwu, she denied knowledge of his presence at the SSS office.
The Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, Moshood Jimoh also said he was not aware of the invitation to Chief Nwanyanwu. He promised to find out from the force Criminal

So the presumed demands of a bunch of criminals on a rogue general is enough to determine the direction of your vote? I wonder how much your vote is worth.
My vote is obviously worth nothing because you lot are plotting to steal our votes with guns.

But that nonesense will never work in the South East. trust me when the chips are down folks will be reminded that the ijaws are traitors by nature who can never be trusted.

Igbos are better off forming alliances with those with fought with than our supposed brothers who sold us out and continued to sell us out untill they started seeking our votes they now remembered that we are neighbours.
