Celebrities / Re: Tonto Dikeh's Fans Blast Husband For Revealing Face Of Their Son by Mariojane(f): 1:35pm On Jan 18, 2017
i remember i wrote somewhere some months ago that this lady that always praise her husband to invade any personal question they ask her is having issues in her marriage and some goons were saying trash. their problem started when she stopped her career after marriage. why will you stop doing what you love because of marriage? you are both suppose to support each other in your career not ask your spouse to bend to your rules.

AnonyNymous:

Thank you. This is the same history I'm aware of
in this regard they are both correct in their own way. moremi let herself be captured to penetrate into ugbo tradition and secret just to help her kingdom. (she was the heroine in her kingdom). she got married to the ruler of ugbo kingdom. naturally once you are married you are automatically a member of your husband kingdom which makes her (a betrayal in ugbo kingdom). she was captured as a slave who became a wife, slaves were expected to summit totally to their masters rules. no matter how we put it, ugbo people will never agree moremi was an heroine cause she betrayed them to be a saviour of another kingdom.

they are both right.

illitrate:
Forget the hours, the important fact there is charge a new battery until is shows fully charged then you can use.
It is not advisable to leave your phone on charge when the battery is full as it kills the cells.

Do not allow anyone to tell you how many hours you have to charge, your new battery could be eliminated, annihilated
or even assassinated. grin grin grin

Just charged until it is full

how can you allow your friends to nickname your girlfriend 'mumu'? if you can allow them call her names then i don't know how her getting married to you will be secured. anyone of your family and friends can just harass her in your house and get away with it cos you gave them the liberty. i wonder what you are still doing with her for close to a year.

NYSC / Re: Benue-Born Ex-Corper Dies In Accident On His Way Home From POP (Photo) by Mariojane(f): 12:45pm On Nov 08, 2016
SouthWestBlood:
This is what I was telling my friend that returned yesterday that the NYSC should be scrapped. What's the essence of going through all the struggle in school for years only to end up dead because of one useless service that doesn't guarantee you job. Which is also used as an allocation to steal funds.

I remember my time, I travelled to Kogi from Lagos, when I got there they told me I was late that I should go back home. Including some other people. The girl I pitied most came all the way from core North. Spent days on her way to get there. Only for the idiots that feel like gods over there to send her back.

So, in a matter of 24 Hours, I risked my life twice plying through the death traps called motorways.

Another batch is going soon, some are going to end up dead.

R.I.P, brother.

#ScrapNYSC
see how you reason. is it NYSC that killed him or what? it is death and no none can do anything about it. if he is meant to die when he died nothing can change it. you guys should grow up and stop this talk abeg.

this reminds me of a story i was told some years back about a family who got a prophecy about a child in the family. they were told a vehicle will hit the child and he will die. cos of that they don't allow the child to go anywhere. he only have access to the compound. the day the child died, he was in his room and a lorry lost control and entered their compound and straight into his room.

let us just pray for long life and good heath for ourselves and family.

Food / 16 Health Benefits Of Lemons by Mariojane(f): 1:22pm On Oct 28, 2016
The Alkalizing Powerfood

Lemons are acidic to the taste, but are alkaline-forming in the body. In fact they are one of the most alkaline-forming foods; this makes them great for balancing a highly acidic condition in the body.

Lemons are a favorite all over the world and an essential food in kitchens everywhere.

“We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons.” –Alfred E. Newman

16 Health Benefits of Lemons:

1. Lemons are alkalizing for the body: Lemons are acidic to begin with but they are alkaline-forming on body fluids helping to restore balance to the body’s pH.

2.Lemons are rich in vitamin C and flavonoids that work against infections like the flu and colds.

3. Your liver loves lemons: “The lemon is a wonderful stimulant to the liver and is a dissolvent of uric acid and other poisons, liquefies the bile,” says Jethro Kloss in his book Back to Eden. Fresh lemon juice added to a large glass of water in the morning is a great liver detoxifier.

4. Cleans your bowels: Lemons increase peristalsis in the bowels, helping to create a bowel movement thus eliminating waste and helping with regularity. Add the juice of one lemon to warm water and drink first thing in the morning.

5. Scurvy is treated by giving one to two ounces of lemon juice diluted with water every two to four hours. In 1747, a naval surgeon named James Lind cured scurvy with fresh lemons. To this day, the British Navy requires ships to carry enough lemons so that every sailor could have one ounce of juice a day. In the past, lemons were replaced with limes; this is where the English got their nickname “limeys.” Watch this video: “Scurvy Pirates and the Lemon of Love”

6.The citric acid in lemon juice helps to dissolve gallstones, calcium deposits, and kidney stones.
Love This? Never Miss Another Story.

7. Vitamin C in lemons helps to neutralize free radicals linked to aging and most types of disease.

8. The lemon peel contains the potent phytonutrient tangeretin, which has been proven to be effective for brain disorders like Parkinson’s disease.

9. In India, Ayurveda medicine values the lemon as a fruit and for its properties. It is sour, warm, promoter of gastric fire, light, good for vision, pungent and astringent.

10.It destroys intestinal worms.

11. When there is insufficient oxygen and difficulty in breathing (such as when mountain climbing) lemons are very helpful. The first man to reach the top of Mt. Everest, Edmund Hillary, said that his success on Mt. Everest was greatly due to lemons.

12. Lemons have powerful antibacterial properties; experiments have found the juice of lemons destroy the bacteria of malaria, cholera, diphtheria, typhoid and other deadly diseases.

13. Blood vessels are strengthened by the vitamin P (bioflavinoids) in lemon thus prevents internal hemorrhage. Also, making it useful in treating high blood pressure.

14. The symptoms of eye disorders, including diabetic retinopathy have been shown in research to improve due to the rutin, found in lemons.

15. Lemons contain 22 anti-cancer compounds, including naturally occurring limonene; oil which slows or halts the growth of cancer tumors in animals and flavonol glycosides which stop cell division in cancer cells.

16. According to The Reams Biological Ionization Theory (RBTI), the lemon is the ONLY food in the world that is anionic (an ion with a negative charge). All other foods are cationic (the ion has a positive charge.) This makes it extremely useful to health as it is the interaction between anions and cations that ultimately provides all cell energy.

even after pursing the money, you still won't get enough
why then do you delay your life for money.

i am happy for Toto but something is just not right about this her so call LOVE marriage. correct me if i am wrong, but there is no one on earth that can give up his or her passion for anything. your career most especially. if someone claim to love you and you love this person in return though you will definitely forgo somethings that are very wrong for you to involve with as a married woman but definitely not all of it. except if it was never her passion. this wedding looks to me like prison.

i watched her interview on TV some months back and i noticed in every question she was ask, she never gave a direct answer and at the end of each question, she will say something like she is lucky for the kind of husband she got and stuffs like that that has become her national anthem these days.

it just did not feel right.

my boss has been on my neck for over two years now. what i do most time is to play dumb. whenever he brings the issue up i try as polite and playful as possible to twist his words into other meanings. when he try explaining i will open the correspondence file on his table, bring out the memo he is yet to treat and when i see his attention is on it i will leave his office. it has been working for me. we are very close and i tell him what no one in the establishment can tell him cos i am his secretary and i understand him and his mood but i am far away from him as i am close to him. (if you understand what i mean) be close to him to be free to tell him anything.(you can do that when you understand his likes and dislikes and also his mood). if you understand all of these, you can boldly reject his advances when he is in a good mood and he won't take it personal.

Craven:

If we're being honest with ourselves, living abroad is not as easy as people assume. You know how many homeless people America has? And it's not as if these homeless people can't get up on their feet, dust themselves up, and secure menial jobs.

Even studying over there is very expensive. You hear of people owing student loans amounting to tens of thousands of dollars, loans that they struggle for years to pay up.

It's hard for people over there too. And I just feel it's a mistake to think the suffering will stop once you leave the country. Truth is it doubles.

Also, I'm not sure I'll advice anyone to choose becoming a driver in America over a banker in Nigeria - or a factory worker in Dubai over a Lawyer in Nigeria. I think it's better to choose a defined career path with prospects and grow in that area. That's what takes you places.
i think i love you. you are soooo smart and you don't talk or reason like an average nairalander. catch it kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss

OP this is the best advise you can receive from anyone on this planet earth. Nigerians compare our country with other countries everyday. the question is, are they ready to do what other countries do to sustain their country? the answer is always protest and fight. think about your future and know you are not going to have a career growth working as a factory worker. but the choice is yours.
