oladayo042:Exactly! What is taking those crooks so long in passing this bill? |
I am going with the majority of the reports which claim the elections were generally fair(aside logistic issues which INEC still has to work on). |
Sahara has printed an election report it claims is from the Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD) although I haven't seen an actual copy of the report yet. http://www.saharareporters.com/press-release/delta-re-run-election-lessons-not-learned-special-post-election-report-cehrd http://www.cehrd.org/index.html |
If the counting should have been done there according to the rules then those votes should be invalidated. Although the margin of victory is so high that I seriously doubt few irregularities like these will make a difference. We will see if Obgoru thinks he has a case and decides to go back to court. For me I'm done. The performance of INEC was my only interest. |
As well as the Youth Corps members and INEC officials there right? In fact the only people who didn't get on the bus was the guy who carried the ballot boxes to the bus and the person filming the whole thing. In addition it looks like voting is over. Is this what we are supposed to accept as evidence of rigging? Very very poor from Sahara Reporters. Very poor. Such crap will not stand up in court. NB: Where are they supposed to count the votes? |
You know what's funny, the picture above the video at Sahara's is the same picture from the New York times depicting rigging at the 2007 elections. Are we sure the video is even from 2011? Some of you guys and SR are making big fools of yourselves. Didn't they cancel the results from the area where ballot boxes were stolen? As yet all you noise makers have yet to show evidence of widespread rigging. Even Sahara is reporting this rigging only took place in a few wards and he their reports they said INEC have acknowledged this. As far as I can see, the majority of Delta people for whatever reason actually voted for that Uduaghan. They may have made the wrong choice but, that is another matter. Aside from a few issues that have to be worked out (logistics and security), I have some hope that the elections in April will be free and fair whoever wins it. Can anyone confirm that ballot boxes were fitted with GPS? Ok enough common sense now, you can now carry on moaning about doom, and gloom, and hell, and the end of time. EDIT: WTH is happening in that video? Did they go to the "Town Hall" or somewhere else? The guy who took the boxes didn't get on the bus with the Youth Corps, Police and others did. So I ask again, WTH is going on in that video? |
Abi una don dey too used to vote rigging una just jump on the "far better" bandwagon
Since comphrension can be a problem I will re-post my comment with emphasis. Mariory: |
Let's face it. The only way there will be credible elections for everyone in Nigeria is if every contestant everywhere wins. Vote rigging in a few wards does not mean the entire election is not credible. So far the agencies that intensely criticized INEC, PDP, and security agencies in the last elections have said these elections were far better. I await their final press release on the elections and will take their word over that of any of the noise makers on nairaland who just seem to be bad losers. Preliminary report http://www.channelstv.com/media/documents/Delta%20state%20rerun%20election%20-%20Jan%206,%202011-1.pdf |
Can we compile a list of the areas where it's been alleged that there has been vote rigging? Also is it true that the ballot boxes have GPS trackers in them? |
Hatitude: sochan:Properly formatted: Isoko South LGA: Registered Voters: 118,329 DPP:5,235 PDP:9,567 Total Valid Votes: 13,829 Ooo the drama! |
Mobinga:Common now!! You really think Google will ask for videos to be removed because they show vote rigging? Common people, use your heads. |
bombay:It said the user removed the video. Are you just trying to instigate trouble? |
What is the tally so far? |
Well done! Go get some rest. |
NO, I expected him to have considered all the logistics neccesary, anticipate the rigging and provide necessary and reliable security for those corpers and his other officials, that was the job he signed up for. And NO sir! I'm not absolving the police at all, I just chose not to mention those fo.ols at this time. JEGA should be on top of this and make sure the Police and army do their jobs. He's the Effiing chair of INEC.
Ok not to derail this thread but, it is important to note that Jega is not a tactical officer and cannot control how the police, army, air force, or navy carry out security operations. All he can do is make sure they have been deployed by their respective commands. As far as reports go, on paper adequate security has been arranged. What individual personnel do on the ground is another matter. Those security agencies do not work for INEC. |
Sahara are reporting that a recount has been ordered for Ika North? Can anyone confirm? |
That's very brave of them, if they actually did that. I wonder what JEGA was doing riding yeye helicopter up and down when thugs were busy assaulting our children. No arrests?
You expected him to be walk round the entire State? The question you asked should be posed to the police instead. |
So far based on the complete results posted by Chrisbenogor it's 6-5 to PDP at the moment. Doing a good job too Chrisbenogor. |
9ja4eva:Despite what reservations people may have about the PDP (myself included), that statement you made means no one should take you seriously. The process is not flawed just because it doesn't go your way. |

To be honest at the moment, only Sahara is reporting a some what different story to other media outlets and monitoring groups. So for now one has to assume the Sahara reports are. . .ermm "inaccurate". |
komando7:Discussing here is fine but the most important thing is to forward your complaints to the right people. |

So far comparing the number of rejected votes to the winning margins means the rejected votes would not have made a difference. The margins for the winning parties are far higher than the rejected votes for now. . . |
blacksta:Yes we know poverty! poverty! Those in poverty took time to come out and vote. This thread is discussing who they voted for not their poverty. |
I think saharareporters have gone offline due to heavy traffic. or maybe something more sinister. http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/%20http://saharareporters.com |
