What travel ban? I thought the ban was on immigrants from Nigeria? As I understand it, you can still travel to visit on a valid visa.

It looks like they actually saw the insurgents flee the vehicle. And seeing as they were still in active shootout, they either capture it or destroy to prevent them reclaiming it in case of a counter attack.
