But as we all know, autopsies aren't a strong forte of the Nigerian police. Pray not to be found near a crime scene because the Nigerian Police will not investigate to even rule out your involvement.

First off: Carbon monoxide cannot react with oxygen to form carbon dioxide under ambient temperatures. You have to actually "burn" carbon monoxide in oxygen (even as a part of air) to form carbon dioxide. Essentially, you require an elevated temperature to facilitate that reaction. Once the carbon monoxide leaves the engine and is emitted into the surrounding, the conditions are no longer viable for the reaction.

The second premise in your argument is also debatable but can hold some water, depending on how it is spun.

There is always some partial combustion in exhaust. You cannot get pure Co. from an internal combustion engine.

And you cannot get Co leaking into the car unless there is an extremely fked up job done by the mechanic

Some form of asphyxiation because it competes with oxygen in binding to haemoglobin to form carboxy-haemoglobin which your body has no use for. The lack of oxygen in the blood stream is what kills you eventually.

What you are describing is a one off case of extra incompetent mechanic malpractice.

Where Co somehow leaked into the car. Or something else was in the car. Because while Co is odorless, vehicle exhaust is not.

You are referring to the blackish exhaust fumes right? That is a mixture of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water vapor, soot (which is the component that gives the fumes the black colour), and other components.
But you should also know that exhaust fumes from a new car or a car with a good engine is colourless because it does not produce soot.
In both cases, carbon monoxide is one of the components and is present all the time.

It is actually one of the products of (incomplete) combustion of petrol.

Also we know how lots of used cars in Nigeria are mostly accidented or flooded cars with rust. I won't be surprised if the underneath of the car had a lot of rust and holes. CO was pass through there into the car.

And since it was sealed. Made it a coffin for both.

Also CO is crazy, it is colorless, tasteless. Would kill you in a matter of minutes. What they would feel is a bit of headache and they may ascribe it to the sex. Next you feel nausea and can't even move your limbs and next is death.
