...The Number of Likes on the First Page is TOO DAMN HIGH!... |
...why do I have this sneaky feeling in my gut about this whole incident; it appears too contrived and too well placed: a black boy saving a white girl a couple of days after the Trayvon Martin Court decision...hmmmm...maybe it's just my over-active mind... |
naptu2: Poor journalism. Leaves you with unanswered questions. If after reading an article (or any article for that matter) you do not have questions or queries concerning what you have just read, then your I.Q. might be lower than you think. #jus' sayin'# |
la furia: Who will take him to the hospital when he died instantly, they did the right thing at that time and note the body wasn't abonded there. And who was the Doctor on the scene that pronounced him dead? Not everyone that bleeds and has stopped moving is dead. So many people, especially accident victims, whose life could have been saved, die as a result of people "sympathising" rather than rush the victim to the hospital |
igbsam: "And two, they like to eat their prey whole and the average European adult is just too long and wide for that."Oh, really?!! which explains why only African males get swallowed whole because they just short and narrow enough...bollocks... ... |

obadiah777: ALL THESE MAN MADE TITLES. SMDH. VANITY VANITYExactly what under-achieved, uncelebrated unknowns use to console themselves. SMDH. |
...and behind the camera is the love of her life... #obvious from the look she's got in the first picture# |
...people should get one thing clear: CVs do not get you an interview! they get you whatever stage comes after the CV screening stage! and that, people, may be a loooong way from the interview... ...And please stop attaching too much significance to threads, articles or blogs titled "how to get that dream job; writing a world class CV"... ...Getting that dream job requires you to present a good CV, solve some hard questions (aptitude test and/or skills test) and speak persuasively, at length (interviews, recruitment days and/or career fairs). So prepare and arm yourself with all the necessary armament, then, maybe then, you can get that elusive dream job. ...but then you don't even stand a chance if your CV is weak and jumbled. |
...why do I have this wierd feeling that he's got anger issues and will hit his wife?...#just my hyperactive mind roaming again#... |
...three videos were posted about the same time range: Jaye-L.A.X. ft Ice Price; Number One-Jaye and D.J. Caise; and Bachelor-D'Banj...The first video received mostly lukewarm comments, the second got accolades while the third was flayed and taken apart...comments on the first two videos do not make up more than a single page, comments on D'Banj's Bachelor is currently on the third page, any reason why that is so? Most of you have got nothing but harsh criticisms for the Bachelor song and video and rush here to make your opinions heard. Ever heard of the saying "no publicity is bad pubilicity" infact the only bad publicity is no publicity. So as long as y'all keep talking about him, you are all just going to keep making him more popular and keep up his relevance and somewhere down the line his bank account. Do you ever think of why The Kadarshians still keep airing and the girls still make as much money as they do even if they are some of the most hated T.V personalities in the U.S? People never stop talking about them! Even if most of what is said are insults and put-downs. If you do not want to hear any more D'Banj "mediocre" songs then stop talking about him. And for the fact that you talk about him at all you are a fan whether or not you admit it. |
Why are there this many people at the commissioning? One can only imagine the "Allocation for Transport to Murtala Muhammed Airport" required to bring them all there. I can never wrap my head around the situation: 1 billion for a project, another 1 billion for the fanfare marking the completion of the project. And why the f.ck do people smile sheepishly whenever they're around government officials in Nigeria? Just take a look at the two women and two men in the immediate vicinity of Anyim: slimy a.s-kissers! |
...I give up!!!...I have resorted to watching francophone musical videos on one of the links provided by someone here: http://www.lc2international.tv/ ...you can join me if you wish...at least you stay updated with the comments here... |
NRI PRIEST: Am very frustrated here; the danm link is not working!A whole Priest of Nri cannot watch the match?!!!...I am sure you should be able to watch in your calabash of magic waters ... |
gen2briz: I guess this thread is for car owners...If you don't own a car, you can memorise the license plate number of your favourite BRT ... |
shymexx: These clowns stay writing 'pieces' when the country is in abyss...Why do people make statements and think they are exempt from the same movement they are trying to promulgate? Shymmex, how hard have you ever gone for Nigeria? So I say....practice what you preach or vamoose! |
Beautiful pictures by the way, but why do Nigerians women find it hard to wear bikinis? They'd rather wear bum shorts, even on the beach. I have come to the conclusion that it is either they've got sloppy bikini bods or they've got black patches of bikini region stubble. Nothing that a strong gym ethic or a simple bikini wax cannot take care of. |
...does this not show that most artistes hide their lack of intelligence behind all the "phone'" with which they speak? Who would have expected tuface and 9ice (of all the "grammar-blowing" celebrities) will be able to give the correct meaning of the word? My respect for Tuface just went up another thousand notches...just because say him no finish school no mean say him be fool! |
Why is it that whenever one of the songs of an artist becomes a hit, he tries to milk the daylight out of its success by putting out new songs that follow the same beat or theme? Is it just me or does this song possess the same rhythm as Oliver Twist and Mr Endowed? Well, he is the artist and I am just an ordinary critic. As they say, criticism is easy, art is difficult. |
Soo_cool: And this is on the frontpage because? So what would you rather see on the front page? It is really funny how some of you here complain about issues that make front page just because it doesn't conform to your expectations for "front-page-material" Why don't you just ignore instead of laying an egg over the fact that it makes front page. Besides this is a social blog and any topic can make front-page as long as it deals with issues that concerns many people. And to the issue at hand. That a child requires extra lessons should depend on the age of that child. For children between 4 and 10, play is as much a learning process as studying. The brains of kids in this age bracket can only handle so much information and they are easily distracted. Any lesson administered to them beyond their attention spans usually has negligible if any effect, so why then should extra lessons be necessary. For children who have exams to write, say the Common Entrance, an extra lesson may be needed to adequately prepare them for the exams. Kids in high school may require extra lessons as most times the allotted lesson periods during school hours is never really enough for the teachers to comprehensively break down their respective subjects. Even then hardworking students will still find time to study and review parts of subjects they do not understand, so that extra lessons may be unnecessary in such situations. |
But seriously, who comes up with ideas such as these. Do these bloated disillusioned men just sit around with nothing in their heads but such irrelevant acts? It shows just disconnected from reality they all are. The National Assembly of a Sovereign Nation sets aside a day, wastes tax-payers money, use up time they should use to deliberate on pressing issues that affect the country to "honour" a footballer that won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup? Which way Nigeria, which to go...which way my Fatherland, which way to go. |
I think Nollywood is filled with retards. All they do is copy and steal some other person's concepts, and then do a poor reproduction of it. But WTF!!!...this must rank up there with the most horrible ideas ever. |
It's funny how some people see these malls as amusement parks: a place where they go to see the lights and the colourful items on display. Some others see it as a place they can go to show off their Polo tops, True Religion Jeans, Adidas Sneakers and Carrera Shades. It's hilarious the way people strut their stuff around these Malls trying, with a scowl on their respective faces, to look like the "baddest" guy or girl in town. And then there is the annoying accent with which people begin to speak once they get into these Malls, it never fails to crack me up. Naija for show!!! |
Can we just stop using the "culture" word over every little thing? If your culture holds you down, discard it and move on to better things. Oh I guess the internet is your culture, that is why you signed in here and posted that. |
I am sorry that this has got nothing to do with the post UTME tests. I only want to confirm if there will be convocation/graduation ceremonies taking place on the OOU campus today(16th April, 2012). Thank you for your time. |
And to think some morons here were faulting the Occupy Nigeria movement. One thing is very clear: these half-educated, disillusioned, corpulent and arrogant buffons who legislate for this country do not give a rat's a.s.s about Nigerians! Until we stand for ourselves and take things by force, absolutely nothing will happen. Oh! I forgot I am still talking to Nigerians here; we'll just have to wait until next elections. And then the cycle repeats itself again. Sad, sad country. |
Wonderful responses people have put up here; very exhaustive and comprehensive. I am going to proffer a solution that may be unpopular with some people. Does your son have a girlfriend? When I say girlfriend I do not mean some random girl that just comes and goes, I mean some best friend kind of girlfriend. You can never underestimate the power of the opposite sex to relax one physically and emotionally. A girl that will hold your son's hand, look into his eyes and tell him everything will be just fine. That will run her fingers through your son's hair and joke with him and make him laugh while taking his mind off the issue that troubles him. And that will make him his chocolate drink(ref. Pato405) and hand it to him and put him to sleep and lie with him if she has to; tell me the boy will not go to sleep. She becomes the support he needs and sees him through this difficult time. But there is a flip side to this: If the girl is not faithful or breaks your son's heart. Then the boy's present predicament will only be child's play with what his emotional state will become. |
This is exactly how much a life is worth in Nigeria now. One down, 149 999 999 to go. Sad, sad country. That policeman should be sued. He should be sued for making us look so bad. He should be sued for insulting our pride as a nation in the international community. Absolute dementia is what comes to mind when you see the video of a man walk up to a live, undefused explosive with nothing but his "hero that will save the day" swagger. I can imagine the following conversation ensuing between him and one of his colleagues. Demented Policeman: Na bomb? wetin una dey wait for since na? Corporal give me that metal detector make I go disconnect am. Corporal: Oya take. Na so you go go? You no go wear the bomb jacket? Demented Policeman: Which jacket? Na today I don dey do this job? Corporal: ah ha. So you wan go like this? Dememted Policeman: Na you go teach me my job again? Abeg forget, something wey I go disconnect now now. And BOOOOOOM!!! muth.fuk. ends up in hell. |
What's with all the crappy nicknames you guys are coming up with. They sound so slimy and disconcerting: arty, ashy, titi: What the f.uck?!!, This is not Hollywood where they come up with lame a.s.s appellations like ScarJo, J.Lo, RiRi, this is a man's game, so keep it that way and let's stick to the real men's names not some gay-sounding trash, |
I am beginning to see why Nigeria did not qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. Most of these teams have got more technical depth than us. They might not be at the same level as the Europeans, but they have improved tremendously: the way they build-up play, the way they pass the ball around and the way they strike the ball, I'm afraid but it seems like we are getting left behind by the "underdogs". |
First thing I'm gonna say is Beaf is a government mole, planted here, and probably on social media across the Nigerian cyberspace to defend government practices and create doubts in the minds of those whose stance is weak. I know his type and this how they work. Second thing I'm gonna say is that right now, at this moment, I'm trying to zone the word Nigeria outta my mind; the word now connotes for me dishonesty and cruelty and greed and cover-ups and every derogatory word I can ever come up with. |
