Business / Re: Why Will Konga Now Charge Full Seperate Delivery Fees On Multiple Items? by marlockj: 7:36am On Jun 09, 2016
whizqueen:
What you people may not understand is konga is a marketplace where we have thousands of sellers or do you think konga own all the products you see that's displayed on their site? Even jumia doesn't! Some merchants are in Lagos and some are not in Lagos.

Where you ordered for 5 items it could be from five different merchants. With 5 different order number, every merchant ships differently or do you expect the merchant in Lagos island and one in mushin then the other one in surulere to start hooking up with themselves just because they want to ship your order?

If you order from same seller, you will be charged one shipping fee. If you order from konga itself you will be charged one shipping fee. Try it out and tell me if it doesn't appear that way!

And for those or y'all shouting jumia, jumia charges delivery fee based on weight while konga charges with distance. If you want to see Jumia's craziness on shipping fee, order for a washing machine, fridge and flat screen TV then check out the delivery fee. undecided

By the way I'm not a staff of konga. I'm just a merchant on both platforms so I know how it works.
Adios

Bt it was not so before...Cuz I Hv order from 5 different b4

I am not a lawyer but from a layman's perspective Mr. Joseph Dauda's request is not unreasonable. Why charge a man on same issues in two different courts? What is wrong in consolidating them into one, wouldn't it in fact save us the time and resources Justice Yusuf is complaining about? Except there is something else behind this whole drama...I don't see what the fuss is all about especially if the prosecutors are certain of their facts to nail the guy! In my opinion, having two identical cases running at the same time is fishy.

Two or 100 courts....let him defend himself....

If not for his delay tactics, he culd Hv rested rather than complaining of many court.....

If his hands were clean he culd Nt Hv been in dis position.... so Dats good for him.....

I also want to let u knw that wen dealing with strong politicians like dis....u need all d power to weaken his movement, Evn if it means making it 100 courts to weaken his power find and enuf bail....

Crime / Re: Jungle Justice In Nigeria – Do Or Don’t by marlockj: 12:48pm On Jun 01, 2016
Btppolitics:
What is jungle justice?

Well, it’s just a punishment carried out by individuals on a suspected criminal without any legal authority. Such criminal will experience a lot of pain before life is finally gone out of him/her.

He/She can be hit with different materials such as wood, broken bottles, steels, stones etc anything possible just make to sure the person is vulnerable or temporarily paralyzed and then the final stage comes – burning the criminal naked and alive.

Jungle Justice started in Nigeria close to a decade ago and still no solution has been procured to it.

The Law

According to the Nigerian Constitution,

Section (33) 1 states : “Every person has the right to life, and no one shall be deprived intentionally of his life, save the execution of the sentence of a court in respect of a criminal offence of which he has been found guilty in Nigeria.”

For many years, our law enforcement agencies have failed in being competent. In South-South, Nigeria, it is said that arrested criminals that engage in devious acts such as armed robbery or even murder slip through the hands of the police by paying ‘affordable bails’ instead of charging them to court for their deeds but these criminals will be released will still roam the streets and continue their devilish acts. This is why Nigerians have no belief in the police and it has greatly increased the rate of jungle justice in Nigeria.
Throwback to some jungle justice events:

1. ALUU 4 BOYS (2012)

I’m sure we still all remember these four young men who were battered and burnt alive. The gory video footage spread on YouTube like wildfire, even a policeman was caught hitting them with the butt of the gun,he was later apprehended alongside others who engaged in the act. This incident went viral in the nation and the parents of the deceased are still find to justice.

2. LYNCHING OF KID IN KADUNA(2012)

This happened just weeks after the ALUU boys incident and this time it was just a 12-year-old who was accused of kidnapping a pupil. He was beaten and burnt alive in Kaduna

3. FEMALE THIEF BEATEN TO PULP (2014)

A certain female was stripped naked and beaten because she stole a phone. The pretty woman was caught with a stolen phone and she was sexually manhandled and beaten to pulp by an angry mob.

4. FEMALE KIDNAPPER (2014)

A middle aged woman was stripped naked and also beaten a large crowd for allegedly kidnapping a young child that was home alone in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. After about 2 hours when life had almost gone out of the woman, the police got involved and took her away.

5. LYNCHING OF MAN IN FESTAC (2016)
Two suspected thieves were caught for trying a steal a parked motorcycle about 2 weeks ago in Festac unfortunately one of them got away and the other was beaten to pulp by angry residents.

6. WARRI INCIDENTS (2016)

Two out of seven robbers were caught in caught in Warri, they were beaten blue black and burnt alive in broad daylight. Their operation was to steal tricycles which we all know as ‘Keke Napep’ but they were unsuccessful and they got caught.

Also, a popular notorious thief called ‘Emma-B’ who had been terrorizing a particular community in Warri was caught by a vigilante and was brutally beaten and finally set ablaze.

There are thousands of other jungle justice cases that we all don’t know.

What’s your take on JUNGLE JUSTICE

Sorry dear.....this is d best way to stop small thieves from bcumin big thieves tomorrow......

Wat police do is to collect money n let dem go....does Dat Dey manage to take to court they tender little or no evidence, Cuz of bribe, before u knw u see him bck...

How can someone who kill so mny b given 11yrs in prison, is Dat fair?..Evn with 11years he still stand a chance of being freed by pardon etc....

The moment thieves begin to realise Dat once caught Bt street guys,Dey are death straight.... they will begin to think.....

The prblm with some Nigerian is Dat Dey Dnt care Wat others face provided it has not cum to dem.....Hv u Eva been in a situation whr thieves after collecting all the money from ur family still kill them ontop....

Hv u Eva seen or heard whr thieves tell son to sleep with mother.....

There was a tym thieves were robbing with hiv infected needles n blood?

My corpa frnd was forced to lie flat of highway, den they ordered cars to run on them....this after collecting all he had....ask urself Wat does a common corpa Hv....

my sister pray u Dnt fall victim,Cuz if u do,u will not b saying all this....

Are u aware Dat this small thieves are more dangerous to a common man compared to dasuki n other corrupt agent... a common man cn 4gt Wat is stolen by dasuki n d rest,Wat a common man knw is to enter market n sell or work for his salary n die wen tym is due....Bt dis kind of thieves cum take d little u Hv n Evn kill.....

Politics / Re: Army: Why We Attacked Protesting MASSOB, IPOB Members by marlockj: 5:08pm On May 31, 2016
Guyman02:
The same Army is expected to tell Nigerians why they have not attacked ARMED Fulani herdsmen that have murdered Nigerians in several states.
The one sided application of the rule of engagement is the key reason why the Army is not getting the needed cooperation from people in the S/E and S/S on the Niger Delta Avengers sabotaging the economy despite the ecological damage they are doing to communities.

Cant we have a situation whereby people are allowed to protest freely on their convictions with the security agencies providing security or have a square in every state like the Hyde park in the UK where citizens can go with placards and express their grievances and even ask for separation referendum like Scottish citizens did recently without anyone being killed. Its their right to freedom of expression.
Too much unnecessary blood being spilled in the country.

Anybody urging and commending the Army for killing them should understand that these are mostly Igbo people and their people will not be happy with the FG for the killing of their kinsmen by soldiers mostly from the North and may seek seek revenge.
This is the reason many reasonable people in the South West have requested for a state police in Nigeria to handle situations like this as state Police will not engage in indiscriminate killing of their relations just to satisfy the whims of a federal government in Abuja that seems far away from the grassroots.

My broda u talk like ur not in Nigeria.....if u give protesters the chance they will empty ppls shop, rape n destroy things....

Hope u knw Nigeria is not Lik America were u will see peaceful protest, especially that of biafra....if u gv such Ppl protection during their protest Nigeria is oyo.....

The best option military hard was to kill,by so doing Ppl will run for their dear life....

By Nxt protest Ppl will who truly want to die will push out and others will stay back...
