Myde4naija:You are here talking about Mockery, the fact that it is my nation doesnt mean i have to support what is not right. There are scammers everywhere and nobody is denying that fact. How does scamming not being a Nigerian language an excuse for ripping people off. Clean up your acts and nobody will call you a scammer. Thats the message. And mind you what i am talking about is not lame, what i think is lame is for you coming out here to talk trash, maybe when you travel out of the country and someone judge you based on the mistakes of a selected few, you wont come here on Nairaland talking about Mockery. Nigeria is not moving forward because of people like you. |
Two Nigeria Politicians i would love to meet OBJ and Jagaban himself. Wish i can be mentored by them. |
I wont blame him really. Nigerians have done so much bad things in the past that it is difficult not to attach any scam to Nigeria and Nigerians. I cant count the number of people who have asked me about the "Nigeria Prince Scam" at work. They say oh you are from Nigeria, do you know about the Nigerian Scam and i am always quick to tell them yes and also defend Nigeria at the same time. Its not their fault we caused it. A yahoo boy will pop ACE in the club with someones life savings, the person has gone totally bankrupt because someone trick him of his life savings and you expect them to hear anything Nigeria and not think it is a scam. Nigerians are quick to defend themselves on social media if anybody call them scammers even when we know this is true. Tell me anybody in Nigeria who have never seen a Yahoo boy before or heard about Yahoo. We know them, they are our friends, they are our neighbors, we go to the same church, we meet at the club. Have we ever tried talking to them to change their ways and stop giving Nigeria a bad name? the answer is NO but we are quick to open our mouth when someone from another country comes for us. |
lloydpras:Dbanj lost it the day he started calling himself EjaNla, EjaNla ko Eja Osan ni. |
This is heartbreaking that Nigeria is so messed up and it will continue to be. I remember when i was trying to get my passport then in Nigeria, the official price was i think 10k but i paid 18k just so i can get it that same day in Benin. I was happy i got it fast actually and didnt mind the extra money. Fast forward to last year when i wanted to apply for my American passport, all i did was go to the nearest post office, fill out a passport form, pay the "OFFICIAL" price, submitted at the post office there and then with a passport photograph and i went home to track it online. My American passport came in the mail and i didnt have to go back and forth before getting it. Nigeria has a long way to go. |
seyewest:I really don't know what happens on their international route but I want to believe you should be allowed one carry on. |
seyewest:Spirit airline is cheap but if you have luggage please dont use Spirit because they dont have free luggage check in. you have to pay for your luggage. Spirit is good for someone who dont have any luggage. i took spirit fro texas to Chicago for $35 and it was because i wasnt carrying anything with me. |
NO 15 is called fi sibi je.....lol i know everything on that list. smh i don old |
As a follower of Omojuwa on Twitter, in as much as i dont like his ways of going about some political issues and his direct approach at attacking the person of some important political bigwigs in the country, I will commend him for taking this bold step in commencing legal proceedings against the threat to his life. In no sane society would you come out to issue death threat to a person either by social media or whichever means and expect the person threatened to take it with a pinch of salt and write it off as a mere threat. A mere threat that has caused the death of thousands who would have been alive if they had taken actions against their tormentors. The bible even says "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh". For someone to openly threaten you and attack your character is always a pre conceived thought that will materialise if the so called person have the means or way to make it happen. As i have always said on this forum, no politician in Nigeria is not woth your life or blood because they are all Irresponsible and only there because of what they stand to gain from the so called national cake and leave when they have acquired enough. What really does Omojuwa stand for? is it the unity and progress of Nigeria or to see a political party disgraced or an individual ridicled because this has totally shifted from one Nigeria to APC vs PDP and Buhari vs Jonathan. If eventually this threat is carried out and he is killed i can assure you the only remembrance he(Omojuwa) will enjoy is a yearly hashtag of #RIPOmojuwa on twitter and his thousands of followers who enjoy his cyber bullying will still go home to sleep with their spouses at night and forget he ever existed. |
Flexherbal:And why do you think so? What kinda herb is that |
asatemple:Hahahha this is hilarious. You are welcome in America jare. Trump or Trumpet no go stop you dear |
zoomman:What are you people saying for christ sake. Why will a black man not able to enter America if Donald Trump wins. This is America and not Trump Enterprises. He cant wake up and say NO MORE BLACKS, that is not possible. What is your purpose of coming to America? Are you a legitmate traveller? if you are a legitmate traveller coming to America for the right reasons nobody will stop you from coming. Because of the shadiness of what we as Nigerians do, thats why we are scared of him becoming president. |
kennyman2000:You are welcome. Dont believe everything you read on the blogs. We love our Nigerian brothers and sisters here no doubt but what Nigerians do here will surprise you. Imagine having the proper documentation and education to back it up but the actions of a selected few is robbing you of the chance to make head way because they dont care. |
sammyj:Sorry Nigeria is still in Africa and not the US. |
kennyman2000:And why would Nigerians in the US do night vigils? Nigerians in the US have nothing to fear if Donald Trump wins. Infact some of us want him to win. If he sends undocumented Nigerians back home then nobody will fault him for that. I am a documented Nigerian/American and i work and pay my taxes, mind you the American govt need my taxes more than you think. All these people with no papers who work under the table and dont remit taxes are the ones that Donald Trump is talking about. |
In as much as i dont know what steps you have taken concerning this issue but i have just read through the thread and i believe justwise gave you an advice but i dont see it anywhere that you followed the advice which is for your mum to apply for a passport. With that being said, based on the response you just posted, i think you guys should go ahead and apply for a passport for your mum and see what the outcome of that is gonna be. |
This is a very wonderful write up. To come abroad and get yourself established is no joke trust me. Its a different cultural shifh from what we are used to in Nigeria. Only the wise will survive. i cant agree more or less with everything on this list and it is the plain truth. Lastly you forgot to ass that we dont get to eat party jollof and listen to tungba every weekend. |
bizgai:i will when im chanced. Mind you with the rise and rise in dollars this is not the best time to do business in America. |
Billygee2u:He makes the selection himself. The bins are very very big and all over the place so you select yourself and load the bags when you get home. The way he wraps it, he can put more than 100 t shirts in one bag because he wraps them very small. |
kinethic:He buys a car like a sienna and load it inside the car and ships with the car. |
[quote author=mosho2good post=42623267]I was beaten mercilessly wen Bubu enter as a president my parent blame me that it my vote that let Buhari to win[/qu Then you shouldnt be on this thread if your parents still beat you in 2015. I think the OP is talking about the generation who bought coke at #2.50 not the indomie generation. No offence. |
Second hand clothes business is a good business. So i have a friend that goes to Goodwill Warehouse here in America and buys Fairly used clothes, most of these clothes were worn only once or twice and he ships to Nigeria in bags. I can tell you categorically that he makes mad profit on it. The last shipment i know of sometime in November last year, he shipped 10 big bags of clothes, shoes etc to Nigeria and he sold a bag for 80k bringing the total sales to 800,000 naira, mind you all the 10 bags cost him $1050 here in the us because they sell the clothes @ $2.1/lb now do the maths and calculate the profit. |
oldtopics:NO! Propose to him |
Let me give you a very blunt advice, If you want to move to the new job, dont think of your boss just move on. The reason for saying this is because employers dont really care about employees in the long run, what they care about is their company. If your boss get someone better than you today, he wont hesitate to let you go. Put this in mind "LOVE YOUR JOB, DONT LOVE YOUR COMPANY" |
Immigration visa entitles you to a green card. From what you are saying, you are still in Nigeria I suppose. What they just want to establish is the authenticity of whatever you have filled in the form during your processing. You are entitled to citizenship after living here for 4 years. |
What interview are you really talking about. Citizenship interview or green card interview. Let me know which one then I might be able to help out |
The ones in American aircrafts are not even free...you have to pay to use it. Nigerians will not pay. |
Ayauche:Sure na me sabi. When your own kids steal in the future throw them in the river then i believe that will be justified. Like you never stole when you were a kid. |
Begonia:God bless you. people who are saying it is a good way to punish the little boy are the ones who were calling for the head of the people who killed the Aluu4. But i guess because this is the boys mother they think it is right. |
Ayauche:He deserve worse than that right? Tell me the worse that he deserve maybe i dont get you well....He should be killed too right? |
This is so wrong in every sense of the word. Discipline the boy for stealing, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that . Stripping him naked in the streets? Thats way way out of line. i dont care if the woman is his mother or not. If my mother treat me like this for stealing something i will never forgive her for the rest of my life. |
