The fact that panalyst dropped the info before nnpc twitter handle did about the town meeting and all says alot about how legit he is.
The rest of you can try, and im sure the dude will let us know when the day is near. I can bet you it wont be a > 4weeks notice.
Stuffs like this aint planned, it just happens.. all this APL is next year news is trash. You cant know now till like december. |

Originakalokalo: This is my first reply on this thread. Let me tell you how things work here in Nigeria.
1. The shortlisting process was done by merit and hitch free because god fathers are less concerned about it.
2. The interview processes (shortlisting and all) were also done based on merit because of the same reason as above.
3. The final list and subsequent delivery of APL attract serious pressures from all quarters and the outcome is ALWAYS not good enough.
Note: A lot of people on this thread will disagree with me simply because they are expectant....this is normal.
These same people will be the first to cry foul when things turn out to be as mentioned here.
People that will eventually get the letters will commend the system (even though some or almost all of them had someone push things for them) while people who feel cheated will cry foul.
This the state of things in Nigeria.
After the APLs were distributed on Dpr thread some months ago, I warned them immediately that everyone should move on....that there is no second batch.....but people waited for 3 years before it finally dawned on them.
It will not be easy to move on if all hopes are hinged on the process...so, I don't blame them.
Bottom line,
I will advise everyone to be careful with the way we sleep, wake up, dream and fantasize about this recruitment...
I wish everyone would get the letters but it is not possible.
Pls be careful..,.@ all. I have been there before and it was difficult to move on.
God bless you all. how i wish i could like this post more than once. Its tough but its all truth. |

Originakalokalo: I started a thread on naijahotjobs in 2010 and the thread lasted for 5 years.... it has over 2000000 views...
people actually had hopes 5 years after.....You know what that means......
Let me quickly make some comments about "sources" that give updates here.
1. Some sources are "weak sources".
They are way below the ladder in the organization and their info are based on their personal judgement... they don't know anything concerning the process...
People that depend on them for information also depend on them for some "push". To these people, knowing this weak sources is better than not knowing anyone.
If you fall in this category, you need to be very careful.... expect less.
2. Some candidates reason, pull up facts from past recruitment exercise and Formulate" information as though it is from a source.
They know no one. They do this out of their concerns for the process.,. Doing this pacify their anxiety, when there are no information in the thread.
3. Some have very strong sources who are in the know.....We love to here information from them...but there is a disadvantage here...
These strong sources WILL INFLUENCE THINGS FOR THEIR CANDIDATES....
While you like to hear from their sources, know also that they have a strong advantage over you....
These ones will be the one to praise the system as credible when they get their letters...and while you are in your misery, they vanish into amphitheatre (not thing air) for their medicals.
4. Some have people even in the recruitment committee. They just open the thread, view it and pass. They won't make a single comment because they have been warned.
These ones are already sure of their names on the list....they won't say a word to protect their interest.
These are words from experience.
Bottom line, again,
Caution guys.
Caution. this post is under rated. Its better we prepare our minds. |

Starwisben: The problem is not refunding but are you refunding the money to the right channel. I was told from the bank today that the payment was made through an online platform. King or NNPC can easily call these data with simple SQL and send a formal notice to the affected banks. This issue can be Money Laundry, using some person name to move money from NNPC's account. then you didnt understand my initial message |

olaNL: The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the suspension of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) ongoing job recruitment pending the determination of a suit filed by one Mr Pelumi Olajengbesi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Olajengbesi, a public interest lawyer, had commenced the enforcement of the Fundamental Rights of all potential applicants to set aside the recruitment by the NNPC on the ground that it was discriminatory.
The recruitment had disqualified Nigerians above the age of 28 from applying for the vacant positions.
Olajengbesi had faulted the age criterion placed on the ongoing recruitment of the NNPC noting that it violated section 3(e)(iv) of the Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure), 2009 which protected the public interest of Nigerians.
He had written to the then Group Managing Director of NNPC, Dr Maikanti Baru, on March 26, threatening to drag the organisation to court for placing discriminatory age requirement on qualified Nigerians who would have applied for the jobs advertised by the corporation.
The NNPC had invited applications from candidates for a number of positions including trainees who must not be more than 28 years as of Dec. 31, 2018, and had graduated from a university or polytechnic not earlier than 2014.
At the hearing on Oct. 18, 2019, the applicant prayed the court to ensure that justice was served on the unemployed Nigerians who needed to know their stand in the matter.
“The matter has long been before the court and the rest of the matter is at a stake and under Order 8 Rule 4 of the Article II of the African Charter of Human and People’s Right (Ratification and Enforcement) Act.
“I pray that the matter is heard together with the preliminary objection filed by the respondents in the interest of justice,” the applicant said.
When the matter was called up, the applicant’s counsel informed the court that the respondent filed his counter on Oct. 15, 2019.
In reply, the respondent informed the court that he was sick and had surgery.
The presiding judge, Justice Muhammed Tsoho (Acting Chief Justice of The Federal High Court) informed the respondent’s counsel that his counter was not properly before the court and had not been regularised.
The court in considering the urgent nature of the matter granted an adjournment for the respondents to regularise their counter.
Tsoho however, ordered that parties must maintain status quo pending the hearing of the substantive suit.
He adjourned the matter until Oct. 29, 2019, for hearing.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/10/court-halts-nnpc-ongoing-job-recruitment/amp/ at least we know the recuitment aint cancelled. From the top of my head two things will happen on 29th, NNPC wins the case (which is likely) and urges them to speed everything up or NNPC loses which automatically means they have to now cancel the whole thing. Just thinking. The funny thing is, with everyone's sources no one knew NNPC were going to court.. smh |

Just to add to it.
I spoke with two people that work with NNPC (one at the towers, they are not management staffs, but they both told me the rumour about cancellation is false.
Im not telling anyone what to believe (including my message) but i think our best and most reliable source are our portals, so far its still accessible i guess the recuitment is still on. |
