Icon4s: He should have thrown it open to select the best . Being an U17 graduate should not automatically make you an U20 player. It should make you a candidate for selection. after winning an under17 tournament, you expect him to throw the camp open again, I'm sure you are one of the people criticizing our current under20 team. Is easy for an under20 to claim he plays in naija league, you can only get genuinely young lads at under17 and push the bulk of them to under20, the objective for age grade competition is not winning but development |

tbaba1234: Ndidi has the highest tackling rate in the premier league by far. So ofcourse, fouls will be committed but that does not make him 'dirty'...
I have watched Musa and i have not been impressed. Bros you don't like Ndidi more than me, Ndidi has the second highest foul commited in premier league, already having 2 red and 7 yellow in football that's dirty but that doesn't mean his not a good player.. Your argument with Mohamed is that his not good enough which was your key word and I said he is just unfortunate with bad management and Agent, Musa was signed straight to İstanbul Başakşehir first team which was wrong for his progression, Musa could have gotten something better after the youth tournament. summary of my argument is that most youth player get them self involve with selfish agent and management that mean no good for them, the likes of Brown, oseni, akinsola were not bad players, if you could remember the saga between kayode and one top NFF official that left him languishing in Asec memosa then you will understand better |

Icon4s: I had serious headache trying to explain this to a lot of people on here earlier on this forum.
Some even said age doesn't matter.
Not all U17 players progress well. Some even fall short as early as the U20 which is why I was mad with Amuneke for promoting all his U17 players to the U20. Not all of those kids were ready or were good enough for the U20 challenge. Do you prefer he bring totally new boys to the fold, thought we need continuity for there progress |

tbaba1234: Ndidi is not one of the dirtiest premier league player ... Far from it.
The truth is that Musa has not raised his game. He did not impress in Bosnia and has not been outstanding in Bulgaria. Bros ontill yestetday Ndidi was the dirtiest player in premier league and milivojovic took over yesterday, Musa spent just 4 months in the loan move to bosnia, Musa has started 20 league games in Bulgaria, how do you want him to raise his game? |

tbaba1234: I think, it goes beyond agent..
He was loaned to the Bosnian league and did not impress.
In his current club, he has 9 yellows and 1 red in 20 games.
I do not think, he has improved enough for senior level foot he got signed in February for a Bosnia club and left to a better league at the end of the season, having 9 yellow don't make you a bad player, Ndidi is reported to be one of the dirtiest player in premier league but his one of the best there too. Just imagine his management got him a team like Porto or Gent, the first move in Europe could damage your European career. |

tbaba1234: Rohr on 35 man list
“Yes, it’s (the list) exactly one month before the World Cup and we will be ready and we will speak about it next week, the most important thing is to have a good structure for preparations,” he said.
“The surprises can only come if some players are doing so well and we have to take them, it will be wonderful to see some surprises. But the players who brought us to the World Cup without any defeat are the first choice now.
“The (home-based) boys have a little chance if they play very well for their clubs, you know we have to take the fittest also. In the first 35-man list, they have a chance.” Rohr is always loyal, you won't see much changes |

Humility017: my question from all the set piece Moses have been taking for super eagles...how many has he converted...
on nancho and musa....I vividly remember nancho never took any close range free kicks during that mundial.... musa set piece in the first match against Mexico was a stamp...like made him an authority to always take the free kicks.... nancho always standin beside him whenever he is to take free kicks made me know either of them was entrusted wit that duty....
let's watch nancho take few free kicks again before we can conclude he is not good as compare to Moses....who have been so poor wit free kicks... You are just contradicting your self up and down, nobody said his not a good free kick taker, in every team there is always an assigned set piece taker and in Nigeria team that person is v.Moses that does not mean iheanacho won t take some if they both agree You can call and ask Rohr who is better between them |

tbaba1234: Uzoho is our number 1 keeper... After reading recent statements by Rohr, I think he has made up his mind on Uzoho..
“I don’t think goalkeeping is the weak link in my team,”
“After we lost Carl Ikeme to sickness, we had what seemed like a goalkeeping crisis but Ikechukwu Ezenwa did well in the qualifiers but we kept looking for options.
“Francis Uzoho came as an option because to go to the World cup, you require two good goalkeepers and I must say he has done well in the three games he has played for the Super Eagles that I won’t be afraid to start him in our opening game against Croatia at the World Cup in Russia.
“Francis is good and tall, and he is ready to learn. He did well in the friendly games against Argentina and Poland with two clean sheets and conceded two goals against Serbia in his third game in which I experimented with some players and tactics.
“I don’t believe he will get stage fright playing against the likes of Messi and other big names in Russia, because after playing against the likes of Lewandowski of Poland, Aguero and Di Maria of Argentina, I am optimistic that he would rise to the occasion in Russia.” Rohr like tall keepers, Rohr like Uzoho |

kennysville: Well just so you know, there is no argument I dont follow in here (except for the yabis part)..... if you ask me, the issue of who to invite so as to compete with shirts only started a couple of months ago. Off the top of our heads our starting 11 was somehow fixed, barring unforeseen circumstances and so we kinda went very comfortable for a long stretch until Lukaemia took out Carl Ikeme from the picture, until Mikel, Leon Balogun and Moses got injured at the same time just before the match against South Africa. This call for substitution of players now is a little too late in my opinion. Unless the player in question has got the X-Factor, aint no reason to upset what we have presently. If from the start of 2016 (cos I believe Oliseh resigned in February or so) at the time of contracting Rohr, if he had scouted a large pool of players, then we probably would have known where we are heading long ago. This is where I fault the scouting system of the National team.
Lets also keep in mind that players suddenly started upping their game close to the world cup cos they now feel there is a fighting chance.
But as I said in my post earlier, the Over reliance on starting 11 is what got us here. Nobody wan imagine am say Ighalo dey bench for Iheanacho. In fact if VicMo shows up late for camping, he must start.
Thankfully, the difference between 2014 squad and 2018 squad is that while the former had only starting 11, the latter can boast of a starting 25 albeit discovering more and more daily.
Back to the issue on ground. I say again, this call for new players should be suspended till after the world cup. Like TheGoodJoe once said about having over 100 players in camp and prunning them, while that seems laudable it is practically EXPENSIVE! (although that probably will work in age grade competitions).
Lets see if this good work of Rohr will continue after the Mundial. I sincerely hope we keep him though for the next 4years so he can develop his model to fruition
Up super eagles Nice writeup, Rohr 23 for worldcup wont have much surprise |

forgiveness: 1. Because that was the task given to him to do by the authority. There's nothing to argue about.
2. The boss dictates. Therefore, it's the arrogant players that should be blamed, not Onigbinde, because from that interview, the information to play for Nigeria under the condition to call Onigbinde to reiterate their interest in the world cup came from the NFF camp or Super Eagles' camp.
This shows that their was room for the arrogant players to come back to the team on the condition to humble themselves but as usual, they showed they were not ready to be submissive to the authority. GBAM
Do Oliseh and his crews have two big heads?
You can see how the keeper humbled himself and called the coach. Was he dropped?
Was he called? No
Was there sign he was wanted before he called? No
EOD So from the lengthy write up you didnt notice reason why Shorumu joined the team and he was not even happy with the team. So after all finidi, oliseh and the rest had done for Nigeria you expect them to call the coach and beg for a call up, is just like asking Mikel to call and ask for a call up |

meaning there must be something manu garba must have seen in the young lad that made him saddle him with such responsibility I notice you can't discuss football without insults, your hypocritic mind notice manu garba must have seen something in nacho in training before giving him and Mohammed the responsibility but that same mind didn't notice Rohr must have seen something your short sighted eyes didn't see in training too that made him give him such responsibility. |

Humility017: just take a look at his lame analysis...that when the set piece is on the right...Moses should take the set piece as if Moses has ever scored any set piece I asked you a question which you didn't answer, prior to iheanacho free-kick against Argentina, have you seen him score free-kick before You think Rohr assign free kick duties to Moses because he likes his face or because he plays for Chelsea, I gave hou two reason why iheanacho cant take the responsibility of our freekicks and penalty, because his not a sure starter in he team. If Rohr is biased and favouring Moses then he should have even added the captain band to him in Mikel absence. |

kennysville: At this rate, we need to set aside sentiments and allow whoever has better accuracy to take them free kicks and penalties. If I had to choose between KC and VicMo, I would choose KC and thats because he is business minded. Moses is a lil heady and tends to get away with some wayward plays just because he makes Chelsea tick. I think Icons4s was right that we dont utilize our set pieces well. Of what use are set pieces when we dont convert?
Please note guys.... I am not a VicMo hater. I just hate the fact that he gets caught in his own world. He needs to start playing with the team and for the team. I sincerely hope and pray he works on this aspect cos Naija peeps arent so forgiving. You dont believe me? ASK YAKUBU! That Yak miss was all that was needed for Naija to be ousted from 2010 world cup. if you really put all sentiment out then you should know that dude is our best player, without his goals and assist we wont be in the worldcup. Moses is always tracking back and putting his all for the team, you guys claim his selfish, yes sometimes you need those kinda player to unlock some defense ask hazard and neymar. For the free-kick and corner, you all can see he unselfishly allowed Ekong to take one against poland and sometimes we see iheanacho and Mikel doing the corners, you guys fail to realise that iheanacho is not a starter and can't have the duty for the team solely. |

I can bet had Moses Simon or nancho being privileged to play some of those free kicks he keeps missing...it would have been well converted.. it took nancho just one free kick to make a statement in the match against Argentina I doubt if Victor Moses could score that. before you saw iheanacho score the free-kick against Argentina, have you ever seen him score free-kicks, this guys train and the coaches ain't fools, Moses is not the free-kick taker because his moses...Think |

Icon4s: The 23 players that are Most likely to make the final squad to the WC.
Believe it or not drawing this list is not as easy as it might seem.
Rohr can invite any 35 players from any where but baring any late withdrawals due to injuries, this is my predicted 23 players that will make the final list:
Goalkeepers 1. Francis Uzoho 2. Ikechukwu Ezenwa 3. Daniel Akpeyi
Defenders 4. William Troost-Ekong 5. Leon Balogun 6. Kenneth Omeruo 7. Chidozie Awaziem 8. Shehu Abdulahi 9. Tyrone Ebuehi 10. Brian Idowu 11. Elderson Echiejile
Midfielders 12. Wilfred Ndidi 13. Joel Obi 14. John Ogu 15. Mikel Obi 16. Oghenekaro Etebo 17. Ogenyi Onazi
Forwards 18. Alex Iwobi 19. Victor Moses 20. Moses Simon 21. Ahmed Musa 22. Kelechi Iheanacho 23. Odion Ighalo
Two players that have out-side chances but they will have to displace two players from the list above:
Dele Aiyenugba for Daniel Akpeyi (Dele likely to become first choice if Rohr does the needful)
Olaoluwa Aina for Elderson Echiejile (I feel for Aina but Echiejile's experience is a major advantage for him) Except we are going with 9 defenders but who will drop from the midfield or forwards. Besides, what are we doing with 3LBs in the WC?
So Chief Kog45 there you have it. You now understand why I would rather invite 25 and drop 2. very realistic, but Joel may not make the worldcup team, maybe his slot will be giving to a more attacking player |

Which kind question be this, every player can dribble but some does it better than others, definitely iheanacho is comfortable with the ball in his feet, I saw how he took the keeper out in Zambia and was in no rush and scored. he might no be in thesame level with some player like mahrez and Moses but he does dribble |
