London is roughly 1600 km^2...with high raise residencial building and is 100% build up ...yet has 8.9 million people
Yet u want me to believe lagos that's less than 1200km^2 and with roughly tick forest covering 40% and 20% rural development while the city is dotted with few high raise apartment building is far more populated than london ?? that's logically imposible If d population of Nigeria is about 150m, even if itd still120m, which state do you think would have the most population? God does speak to us. Can you figure out how? At your example, you say all of that becos you do not understand d resons for the evil and suffering in d world. Now lets go back to what d world was like when God first made it: A beautiful garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were to fill d earth with children and subdue it. But they were given a very simple rule. The devil however made them an offer which he they considered more superb than d one God did them. The result of that decision is what we are still experiencing thousands of years later. Now God is his infinite mercy recognises that his intentions for humans was not for them to die at a 100 years or even fall sick. So he makes a remedy for people who do not wish to tow the part of Adam and Eve by providing the ransom. If you believe as recorded in John 3:16, you'll be saved. You see ehn, service to God is quite easy and straight forward. But people have complicated it with several dogmas and doctrines. If you desire to know the truth about God, you could. Think about how God took his time to prepare the earth, 5 good days, before making man on the 6th day. And tell me if God did not create man for enjoyment. That same God is the one you're describing as abusive. Why not take time to get to know him better? Sadteen: If God wants a relationship with him, it should be a relationship where only one party does all the talking. Relationships thrive when there's a good healthy interesting conversation in it. You don't claim to want a relationship with someone yet you act as though very oblivious to the likes and preferences and feelings of the person. Most humans want a relationship but an engaging one where both parties are very much invested in seeing the relationship grow. In the case of God and his children, it seems to me as an abusive relationship where the children are forced to love God because they don't want to go to hell. In this same relationship, his children are also known to swallow a lot of bullshit and accept mediocrity as fantastic because again they are scared of what God will do to them should they speak up or challenge him
For example: a child of God will sing praises and love songs to God even when he or she hasn't eaten in days and is starving, when he manages to find food let's say the food of very poor diet, he will leap for joy and start singing and praising God for being very good to him. At the end of the year, he goes to his local church for Thanksgiving for the goodness of his God when his God was very capable of providing him with better. This same person would call out or insult his biological father if his (father) is capable of taking care of him but isn't and providing him with poor diet when he could easily bless his son with a rich diet to nourish his body
This is not how to be in a relationship with anybody how much more a whole heavenly father. I don't know how people manage such relationships and still fake happiness when deep down in their hearts they are unhappy, their hearts yearns for better, for freedom, for love with action and more |

pocohantas: You didn’t answer my question. I am not interested in your sermon or whatever relationship you people have. I think i did when i said this: Christianity is not about deliberately sinning and asking for forgiveness. On the contrary, it is intentional. It requires making conscious effort to do only those things that please God, just like a grateful child would a loving parent That you profess you're a christian does'nt make you one. God knows those who belong to him 2Tim 2:19. He actually turns his face when unrepentant sinners pray to him isaiah 1:15. Nevertheless, God will accept the prayers of even gross sinners if they repent Isaiah 55:7 |

pocohantas: How do you know?
Even the bible asked, “shall we continue in sin, so that grace may abound?”
So when you keep doing same thing, fornicating, lying, stealing, basically being a slave to sin- all to start praying for forgiveness and imaginary enemies...
Ain’t you being a nuisance? You quoted Romans 6:1. If you continue to vs 2, d answer is, certainly not! If you really want to appreciate d relationship between God and his servants, compare it with that of a loving father and his children. Christianity is not about deliberately sinning and asking for forgiveness. On the contrary, it is intentional. It requires making conscious effort to do only those things that please God, just like a grateful child would a loving parent. Many people dont know, but having a relationship with God is the best thing that can happen to anybody, the best defence |

not true God doesn't feel disturbed by prayers. He infact want us to have a relationship with him which involves communication. Its just like saying parents feel disturbed by their kids presence in their lives. Very unpossibleD die by fire no follow tho pocohantas: I guess you left organized religion, if that is the case, you are most welcome.
The last time I VOLUNTARILY stepped my foot into a church, I was 19 and in my final year.
They thought I was possessed and my church members gathered in my room to pray. I told them I was fine, a sister wants to focus on her finals. I don’t wanna spill mehn.
I have strong ethics guiding my dealings with people and I think they are well in place. I don’t need any religious leader or body to teach me right from wrong.
God gave us a brain and conscience to guide us, but humans are so stubborn they do otherwise and start disturbing Him with prayers and shouting “die by fire”.

cococandy: Really simple. I dissolved the banga paste in a pot of boiling water. Measure your water according to the quantity of rice you want to cook.
Add seasonings to taste. I added dry fish and crayfish powder as well. Added ground hot pepper to make it spicy and then added my washed rice. Allow it cook really well so that it’s soft. Don’t let all the water dry. Add chopped basil or scent leaf (preferably scent leaf if you have it).
And cover for 5 mins. Serve. Thanks mama |

Duru9: Good morning nairalanders
2 months ago I was over all the social media seeking for driving job or any form of work, luckily for me I got someone that directed me to his friend that was looking for an uber/bolt driver I met him we talked, sadily I couldn't provide guarantor I used my international passport as guarantor He gave me the car to be remitting 25k to him weekly and I will service the car every month
I started working with the car only on bolt because I couldn't book for uber training online
I've been remitting complete money to him for 6 weeks now until last week when this virus thing came into Abuja, people stopped going out, schools where shut, airport, social gathering etc the whole thing affected my work, I called my boss and explained everything to him that request are no longer coming as before people are not going out again, he refused to listen to me he said he can only remove 5k for me, I accepted and start working But everyday the request keeps declining
Yesterday I called him again and begged him for 15k weekly till everything is over, because me too I'm at risk of getting the virus because I don't know people I'm carrying) everyday he asked me to come to his house I went there he asked me to drop the car and leave that people are willing to do the job secondly he want to put the car in hire purchase
I was left diverstated, weak, confused I was wondering why he don't want to understand my point one of our member sent in a voice note that a client he carried last week called him to isolate himself that he tested positive and hospital asked him to contact those he had contact with
My boss refuse to pity me, he wanted me to be working in midst of this virus and be remitting money to him, I agreed anyway and asked him to reduce it to 15k he took the car from me
Please add me in your prayers, I don't know how to cope in this luck down they're about to do, I saved little morning within the 2 months though
But I'm a good driver and I know Abuja roads very well if you've car good for bolt/uber please I'm very much available Thanks Hi In case you're still in need

Hmm Thank you. Very interesting analogy. But me I'm very sure that the resources of countries like north Korea and America are not limited to the 'fifty fowls' These powers keep spending and investing heavily in nuclear weapons but never go broke. They are definitely printing money somewhere in the background. I guess their solid economies is cushioning any downsides L bigpicture001: OK...its like this...the whole world is in one room( global economy)
And they all have just 50 fowls to eat ( scarce resources)
Now without fighting but with strategies( economics) each country wants more fowl that. The other ( wealth) ppl scheme out policies to get hold of more fowl nd add to their previous no. If as a competitor,u becom weak nd decide to ad more fowl to ur self buy hoi g outside the room to bring in fowl....
Ur fowl is invalid...
You have to fight hard to retain ur own fowl whilst still adding more to the ones you already own |

4Play: You can do this safely where inflation is almost non-existent, the economy is at the zero lower bound. This is the case with most western economies where prices are relatively stable. Money printing (quantitative easing) by central banks is the purchase of assets like government and corporate bonds by the central banks to increase the money supply into the economy.
You absolutely cannot do this safely in Nigeria where inflation is skyrocketing and the currency is already under pressure as you will generate a Venezuela or Zimbabwe style hyperinflation scenario.
This problem of copying western solutions for Nigeria, witness the widespread lockdowns over coronavirus, will cost us dearly. Thank you boss. Its even called quantitative easing?? Good to know |
