PoliticsBiafra Zionists Vow To Launch New Currency. by Masterclass32(op): 8:12am On Oct 19, 2019
The Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, has disclosed plans to launch new currency as part of their push for a Republic of Biafra.

DAILY POST reports that this development is coming a few weeks after the self-acclaimed President of Biafra, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka boasted to have inaugurated his government.

Onwuka, who has been in and out of detention, has continued to push forward his agenda.

Addressing journalists in Enugu on Tuesday, he equally issued a warning to the governors of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi and Abia, Dr Okezie Ikpazu, accusing the duo of selling hectares of land to Fulani herdsmen for RUGA settlement.

He warned the two governors to revoke the sold lands or suffer the wrath of Biafran youths.

He claimed that, “We are noticing RUGA settlement at Lokpanta in Abia State which is ongoing now where Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpazu sold hectares of land to Fulani herdsmen and also hearing that a large hectare of land has been sold to Fulani herdsmen by Ebonyi State governor, Engr. David Umahi.

“We warn them to revoke the land and desist from such. If they fail to do so, their families and relations will suffer it for life.”

On his push for Biafra, he said “no other power can give Biafra independence except the United States of America, USA.

“We have also concluded plans to launch Biafran currency on December 15, 2019 at Ndoki Park, Aba in Abia state; the currency would be known as Gad and Eri.

“Until Biafra have international back up, there would be no independence. No African country can achieve freedom without the assistant of foreign countries. Biafra failed during the Nigerian civil war because they don’t have international backing.

“Biafra achieved freedom because of the assistant of United State of American government. We will launch the Biafran new currency called Gad and Eri on December 15, 2019 at Ndoki park Aba, Abia state. We are not going to use pounds anymore because it’s a symbol of British government oppression against Biafra.
“Denominations of the currency to be used are: 5, 10,20,50 and100 Gad notes while coins would be 1,2,5,10,20,50 Eri.”

Onwuka equally condemned what he called a “purported media report by Donald Trump, congratulating Nigerian government on October 1st, 2019”.

He warned that the USA Ambassador to Nigerian should stop deceiving the masses with his pro-Muslim ideology.

According to him, “The letter purported to be written by President Trump on October 1st was not written by Trump but by American Ambassador to Nigeria and we warn them to stop deceiving the masses with fake news and being anti Biafrans. We call on Trump to caution American Ambassador to Nigeria to order.”

SportsGianluigi Buffon On Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo. by Masterclass32(op): 8:37pm On Oct 06, 2019
In an era when two footballers comtinuously push each other to do better and outdo each other with every game, there are bound to be comparisons. The constant battle between who is better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo falls in the same category.

Both Messi and Ronaldo have dominated world football for over a decade, winning five Ballon d'Ors each between the two. While Ronaldo took flight with Manchester United in the Premier League, Messi was groomed and developed by Barcelona. Their rivalry grew more fierce when Ronaldo joined Barcelona's arch-rival Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.

With both Ronaldo and Messi playing in the same La Liga, comparison grew further and even after Ronaldo moved to Juventus in Serie A last year, the comparisons have not stopped.

Buffon, instead of giving a definite answer to who out of Messi and Ronaldo is better, gave a very interesting response, drawing its parallel with another major sporting rivalry between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in tennis.

"Federer is infinite class, while Nadal is perseverance, sweat and also talent, otherwise you cannot win all the Grand Slams he achieved," Buffon said to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"Nadal's hard work and constant desire to improve himself allowed him to be on a par with the most talented tennis player in history.

"The comparison is obvious and makes me smile, as Leo Messi is Federer, while Cristiano Ronaldo is like Nadal."

Most fans describe Messi and Ronaldo in a similar manner when the Argentine is said to be the naturally gifted one while the Portuguese is said to have worked extremely hard to reach the top level. Buffon just took the examples of two different athletes to draw the same conclusion in the most seamless of manners.

This year, Messi beat Ronaldo and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk to win FIFA's The Best award.

Culture12 African-Americans Adopt Igbo Names To Mark 400 Years Of Transatlantic Slavery by Masterclass32(op):
- Twelve African-Americans have changed their names to that of Nigerians

- The 12 traced their ancestry to West Africa

- On Nigeria's Independence Day, the African-Americans adopted Igbo names at a traditional christening ceremony held in Abuja

Twelve African-Americans, exploring their ancestry in West Africa, have been given native Nigerian names in commemoration of the four centuries of the first Africans slaves to arrive in Virginia, United States.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Americans were christened local Igbo names at a ceremony on Nigeria’s 59th Independence Day, Tuesday, October 1. The event was organised by the Global Institute of Diversity and Change and the Igbo Community in Abuja.

The naming rite was conducted by a traditional chief from the southeast amidst cheers and celebrations of a cultural festivity as the African-Americans identified with their roots.

Some of the names for the Americans are Okechukwu, Ifunnaya, Adaeze, Ijeoma, Chukwuma and Obinna. Others include Ikechukwu, Ugochukwu, Obioma, Onyemaechi, Chinwe and Ozioma.

Dr Yewande Austin, President of Global Institute of Diversity and Change and an African-American herself, said the christening was an indication that African-Americans were proud of Africa as their historical ancestry home.

“This year marks the 400 years that the first Africans from the transatlantic slave trade arrived Virginia, and this event is to ignite our sense of connection with Africa.

“It is very important to know that Africans worked tirelessly in building the United States, and we are very proud of that.

“Hundreds of African-Americans see Virginia as their home, and there is an Igbo village in Virginia today,” she said.

Prof Chinwe Obaji, a former minister of educationand host of the naming ceremony, said the historic slavery migration was an indication that Africans paid huge prices in the development of America.

She noted that the christening would make recipients of the names see Nigeria as their home and contribute towards its advancement.

“United States and Nigeria have come a long way in working together, and this naming occasion is very significant because these Americans will see themselves as Nigerians.

“As you can see, they are proud to identify with their ancestry home and this will inspire them to contribute towards its good.”

Obaji noted that recipients of the names would proceed to Obosi in the southeast to receive traditional tittles from the traditional ruler during the month.

Dr Ogbonna Onoh, minister of science and technology, who chaired the occasion, congratulated the recipients of the new names and expressed appreciation to the organisers of the event.

He noted that the event was significant in the history of the United States and Nigeria, and would foster bilateral relations between the two countries and promote harmony between their citizens.

It was reported that in August 1619, an English ship landed on the shores of Virginia with some 20 African captives aboard.

Their arrival 400 years ago began the history of slavery in English-speaking America and the date is being commemorated as the beginning of the age of slavery in North America.
