Abagworo:The soldiers should go after the militants that are killing them. |
tdayof:It's all propaganda. Some militants were definitely killed but nothing near 114. |
Adminisher:Ofcourse we know the NA can destroy the town like they did to Odi community butr not the militants. They are only good at killing unarmed civilians. A single militant was not killed at Odi. At Ikorodu now the military is telling us that the militants took the bodies of all the 114 militants killed! ![]() |

– These are dire times for the Nigerian economy – Fourteen (14) foreign airlines have exited the aviation market – The airlines were said to have lost N64 billion repatriating stuck funds Fourteen (14) airlines have withdrawn their services from Nigeria due to low patronage and the bad economy being experienced in the country. According to The Guardian, the airlines are among the 50 that operated the Nigerian routes some months ago. Some of those listed are Spanish-owned Iberia airlines, United Airlines and Air Gambia among others. The airlines were also said to lost about N64 billion in the wake of the new foreign exchange (forex) policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Speaking on the issue, president of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Bankole Bernard, said the new forex policy and economic recession came with enormous negative effect on travel agencies and airlines. Bernard, who spoke at the Aviation Round Table (ART) breakfast meeting held in Lagos recently, said there was fear that more airlines might quit flying the Nigerian routes. He also revealed that some travel agencies are already considering relocating to Ghana, where “their policies are consistent.” He blamed the current administration for its inconsistent policy particularly on the naira devaluation, saying it accounted for the current “nightmarish” experience airlines and travel agencies are facing. The loss of N64b by the foreign airlines was on account of repatriating $800 million stuck in the economy in the last one year, but released after the recent devaluation of the naira. With the devaluation, the accumulated $800million from airlines’ sales of tickets when the exchange rate was still at N197 to $1, was taken out of the country at the new rate of N320 to $1. Consequently, a substantial amount was lost in the last couple of weeks. Also speaking on the issue, the regional manager of British Airways, Kola Olayinka said that for every $1m repatriated since the new policy began, the airlines lose not less than N80 million. He said the immediate and unfortunate effect of the new policy is affecting all foreign airlines that had funds sitting in the Nigerian banks. President Muhammadu Buhari administration last year introduced a fiscal policy through the CBN, restricting access to foreign exchange and funds transfer out of the country. The policy has affected the International Air Transport Association (IATA) members with estimated $600 million belonging to operators in Nigeria stranded. The association has since appealed to government to ensure the immediate release of such funds to operators in the Nigerian aviation sector. Meanwhile, ART President, Gbenga Olowo, said some airlines lost up to 50 per cent of their funds due to the forex policy. He appealed to government to be consistent in its policy and ensure that foreign airlines operators have an enabling environment. The CBN on Wednesday, June 15, officially announced a new foreign exchange policy. According to the CBN, the Nigerian currency has been floated, hence there will be a single market for acquisition of the foreign currency. https://www.naij.com/919396-forex-hike-panic-14-foreign-airlines-exit-nigerian-aviation-market.html

macluvph1:Do you want me to call HopeAtHand your ikwerre brother to come lecture you till eternity how you guys are not Igbo? Wait for him to come. ikwerre are not Igbos, we don't need them and have nothing to do with them, they are 'We SS.' |
CHANNELStv2020:Now you are talking. Don't allow these inconsequential 'We SS' people continue to rain insults on the great Igbo nation, calling us land grabbers. |
Progressive01:And you get lost and go chase fulani cattle away from your bedroom before they finish eating up your bed bug infested pillows ![]() You think you mean anything to me? Chai!! Look for the closest tree to you and hang yourself if you so wish. Frustration & pain is written all over you.
|
CHANNELStv2020:You don't get the point. The essence of the Biafra struggle is freedom isn't it? You cannot never take away the right of self determination or freedom of association. You cannot drag people that are not willing into Biafra and citing colonial era as reference. Just like we are saying that Nigeria should allow us exercise our freedom to choose whether to remain Nigerians or not, so also those minorities have a right to decide whether they want to be part of Biafra, remain in Nigeria or form their 'We SS' republic. ![]() |
Godemcee:Igboland has more than enough oil but Nigeria fraudulently carved out large portions of our oil producing lands and added to Rivers state i.e Niger Delta. just to keep Igbos under. See evidence here.
|
macluvph1:Please Ikwerre are not Igbos, they are part of 'We SS' so they can join the ND Republic. |
Progressive01:You should face Benue state and continue your sai baba work. I got banned for one month because of you, don't get me started on you again. You are so good at reporting to the MODs when you head is bashed from different directions. |
EasternActivist:Nwanem, the Biafra struggle should be limited to Igboland ONLY. What we should be talking about is to ensure that we take back our lands fraudulently carved into Rivers state in 1976 and our brothers in Delta north i.e, Ogwashi Uku, Asaba and others. The other minorities aka 'We SS0' can form their Niger Delta Republic. It is that simple. This is why people call us land grabbers. |
CHANNELStv2020:My definition of force is that they have created a map including lands of minorities that have repeatedly said they are not part of Biafra. How can you come out again to say Biafra is not for Igboland only? Why are you people like this? |
CHANNELStv2020:You have not answered my question which is why is IPOB trying to force others into Biafra? |
CHANNELStv2020:Why is IPOB trying to drag other tribes into Biafra by force? That is how Nnamdi kanu just got up and came out with a useless map as Biafra without consulting anybody. What sort of embarassment is this from this IPOB for goodness sake ![]() Is it by force to be part of Biafra? Is that not how we have been complaining that Nigeria is keeping Igbos by force? Answer me. |
Funny IPOB. ![]() Let me write this before the 'We SS' people will come here and wan.k off till they drop dead. We have said it so many times that should Nigeria break today, the Igbo will not force any tribe or group to be part of us. All these threads are useless and meaningless. The Igbo will accept any of the minority tribes that prefer to be part of us and those that don't want to join us would be free to form their own country or remain with Nigeria. Please the minorities are free to be part of any group of people they so choose. The Igbos are not forcing any of you and there are no plans to do so. All we care about is Igboland including our lands carved into present day Rivers state in 1976 and Dlta north. The rest of you 'We SS' can go and form your Niger Delta Republic. We can survive without oil(even though we have oil & gas in Imo & Abia and our lands in Rivers State). Germany today has no drop of oil and yet is the most powerful economy in Europe. There are so many countries in the world without oil and yet doing very fine. Look at Israel that moved into a desert and transformed it into a wonderful country for themselves. Biafra is for Igboland only. The Niger Delta can form their republic. IPOB should shut up! Divide Nigeria into six zones – BIM, MASSOB urge UN, other world powers Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, have pleaded with the United Nations, UN and other world leaders to divide Nigeria into six geo-political zones as a permanent solution to the myriad of problems facing the nation. The groups noted that granting the six geo-political zones in Nigeria self-rule would be the only solution to the many challenges. In a statement signed by the Director of Information of the pro-Biafra group, Chris Mocha, the two groups called on the UN and other super powers to consider the lives of people that are killed on a daily basis in Nigeria arising from insurgency in the North East and Fulani herdsmen and respond to their call. Mocha said the proposed nations include South East, (Biafra which will includes our lands fraudulently carved into Rivers state in 1976 i.e Obigbo, Egbeme and others and our brother in Delta north i.e Ogwashi Uku, Asaba and others), South-South (Niger Delta), North East, North West, South West, (Oduduwa) and North- Central. He added that no amount of preaching on nationalism can change Nigeria as it is today. Mocha further explained that when the said zones are given independence, assets of the citizens of the different countries will be protected by international laws, just as bilateral agreements will guide the future relationship of the new republics. The group, however, insisted that several members of BIM/MASSOB were killed last week during the Biafra anniversary at Nkpor and Onitsha. http://dailypost.ng/2016/06/06/divide-nigeria-into-six-zones-bim-massob-urge-un-other-world-powers/

joborskill:You are a disgrace to Yorubas. ![]() |
IPOB is a disgrace to us Igbos. ![]() They continue giving all these 'We SS' people mouth to talk. MASSOB even has more wisdom than these childish IPOB. MASSOB asked the U.N. to divide Nigeria into six countries where they clearly separated Biafra from Niger Delta Republic yet these foolish IPOB will not use their heads. Adaure4ever was right about these IPOB. ![]() |
Kai, this IPOB continues to disgrace Igbos everyday. I am beginning to have a rethink about them. They lack maturity and tact. Cheruv. |
All these goats should go and rest, her dressing is perfectly okay. |
FanYogo1:Nigeria fraudulently carved out our oil producing lands and added to SS in 1976. See proof here. Obigbo, Egbema were taken away from Imo state and added to Rivers just to keep Igbos down.
|
ba7man:Keep deceiving yourself. When Obasanjo took over what did he meet? Obasanjo met low oil prices as well, with all the rot and damage done by the military yet set out to do his job without complaining and blaming others like your herdsman president is currently doing. Continue blaming the last administration until you will see 2019 staring you in the face. Binhari has already gone past one year in office and still blaming Jonathan. |
omenka/progressive01, fulanimafia/Quotasystem will not like this news at all. I am sure they now hate Wole Soyinka like the Devil. In Nigeria today, the Hausa/Fulani are first class citizens while others are 2nd, 3rd class. Wole Soyinka said, "How can you treat me like a 2nd class citizen and accept me to accept it?" The case of the Igbo nation is worst. We are so marginalised and victimised in this colontry. They have made Igbos 5th class citizens and put down an unwritten law that the Igbo will never rule Nigeria again. I wonder why I as an Igbo man will want to continue being a Nigerian. |
Even though Buhari must be replaced to save Nigeria, Jonathan is not an option. |
