Something tells me this lockdown will lead to a nationwide revolution.
I see this lockdown extending to up to 4 months, cos new cases are still coming up.
We had the chance to prevent corona from entering but we messed it up. Now we are inbetween the devil and the deep blue sea. Either we lockdown and die of hunger or we open up go about our businesses and allow corona have its way, then as many as survives the wave will move on, that's life.

First of many deaths to come.. Instead of them to be on a lockdown since, as a precautionary measure, they were still going about their normal businesses. We are always reactive to situations and not proactive. We wait till it starts before we start doing something about it. Even as at yesterday their markets were still open.
As this corona don enter north, forget it. There's nothing we can do about it again, this year don cast. I see us battling this to the end of this year. The lockdown is useless, cos people still travel and move around. How come new states are getting it if there's really a lovkdown.. Most countries doing lockdown have structure but here none so we should do preventive and control instead of this foolishness.

Corona virus is an airborne disease, so we shouldn't be surprised.
I think the best method to tackle this disease is the method used by Czech Republic, cross river state and others.. Which is no masks no movement policy. With everyone's mask on, it helps to prevent spread and contraction of the disease.. This lockdown is very harsh truly I think we should find a better way that is more suitable, because lockdown without regular tests and palliatives is nonsense.

Not enough people are being tested, that's why the numbers are low. But also if there are more virus carriers out there, the death toll should have multiplied by now. I think I go with seun, our warm weather helps to contain the spread.

Religious folks don't always get it. They think this lockdown is just mere ritual like their other religious practices. That it's for the sake of it, or just because others are doing. Relaxing the lockdown at this point when the virus hasn't been contained is rendering the effort and input put in place all these while useless, and render the previous lockdown futile.

From my original post I made clear what they're coming here to do. They are also in Italy and Spain rendering their services. If they were American doctors I know you'd have a different reaction.

If the US were the source of the pandemic, and have all sorts controversies surrounding how they kept information and managed the outbreak to the extent of it going virile and shutting down economies all over the world, it would be unwise to open our doors and arms to the same people while the pandemic is raging everywhere.

This is especially so when Nigeria is not the worst hit of countries but has always been of interest during outbreaks of this sort.

In other words, we should be developing/boosting our own capacity, and picking our friends during this crisis carefully!

Us and Europe didn't try their best to check this virus, they took it as child's play. Even trump referred to it initially as ordinary flu.
See, Us and Europe are responsible for close to 90 percent of the cases of covid 19 in africa, as the carriers come from there. China tried their best to contain it, but us and Europe didn't. But now is not the right time to throw blames, it's a global pandemic, eveyone is suffering it. What we should all do is to fight it together. Besides Italy, Spain have since secured the services of the chinese scientists. This is more of a proactive measure from the govt to fight this virus, we shouldn't wait till it's more than our capacity before we do what is in our power to do.

Don't blame china, they're doing the best thing for Nigeria and china. Imagine those chinese loans were given to our leaders, they would have wasted those funds through their own construction companies and at the end of the day we won't have anything. But part of the chinese condition to the loan is that they will see to the construction themselves. Win win for both parties

Western media has brainwashed some of us. Some of us against the coming of these Chinese doctors won't do the same if it were American or British doctors.

The Chinese are more experienced than our doctors in the aspect of fighting this covid 19. They are just here to train our doctors and equip them with better knowledge. Cos currently they're the only ones that have successfully managed this virus in a large scale

Another mistake the army makes is to patrol the terrain in convoys. That gives you the false impression you're in control while giving the enemy lots of space to attack you. 

Nigerian army mostly repel the enemy you hardly see them attack. You have to continuously bring the war to the enemy. Boko haram are human beings. They eat, shìt, and sleep. Find out where they do these things and exterminate them like cockroaches. If that means waterboarding some of the captives then by all means do so. 

This is a war of attrition and not church thanksgiving.
