People like you just do not get it....the road creates prime real estate along the coast needed to bring in foreigners and foreign investors. The taxes they will pay will be enough to pay for coastal road multiple times over. You need to travel and see coastal roads in other climes.

Let me ask you this question since you are so smart...who are the people benefitting from US, UK, Canadian Economies...no be your own Naija people or why do you think there are protests in other countries about Immigrants. Sure and that conversation must be had before moving in as to what is covered. Sometimes landlords do not return caution fees if certain common payments were not paid by leaving tenants. Another scenerio, water pumping machine is damaged, tenants are supposed to contribute...one decided to move out. His or Her caution must be deducted for the repairs.

It takes a level of curse for someone to be owing salaries. Your workers are spending money to come to work, but you are owing money while making money and you think you are not cursed. You are already cursed, the children are cursed and the children's children. If you will owe someone money, owe rent, or owe anything...try explaining, but if you eat someone's sweat, you will be cursed. Some owe rent and move out and think it is over...it is not. You just will not know what has befallen on you when the problems start.

To be sincere, this is my first experience and I must confess, it is affecting my mental health. I have never been known to borrow money but since I started working for this company, I have been borrowing to feed even as begging for data.....

Worst still, this happened to me when I have just rented a new apartment and I am basically exhausted.

Kindly share tips on how you basically survive this kind of experience especially when another job is yet to come.

Never talk about other countries and its people, other nationalities, other religion and if possible, stay out of politics...At his age, you would think he would know better...so I am glad they are all canceling their endorsements.

Room Self Contained
You rent the Apartment for N300k
Caution you try to be generous: N50k
Agent Fee N50k
Lawyer Fee N25k
Service Fee N25k

Total N450k

Tenant moves out and you realize the amount of damages is about N150k to N200k...How? Shower broken, tap broken, door handle broken, changeover switch taken and toilet seat broken or the water tank for toilet bowl damaged, Kitchen cabinets damaged. You pay carpenter, electrician and maybe a painter...

So now, your caution does not cover the N150k, you are short N100k, so you literally rented the house for N200k minus wasted time to do repairs. Landlord must get sense. loan is 0% and you dont have to pay if you dont have a job. The school is tired of chasing people around to pay school fees. It is a lot eaiser and makes sense for them fo all students to apply, so they can receive the funds from govt and plan their school year. The alternative should be if you dont want NELFUND, pay in full by so so so date. I do not see the issue with applying for a fund that the Govt may waive its payments in the near future lol. No Naija Govt will enforce repayments. Take it and enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Sadly this is not new. I had a friend who told me she wanted to do Uber. The car was N1.5m. The person said he cannot release the car until N1m is paid. I had to call and put myself on the line that I would ensure payment. She had N250k, I put down N250k...then she got the car during Christmas, made another N250k ...barely 2 weeks and I added another N250k as planned...the rest was spread weekly which she paid to the car owner. I even called months later and the man said all funds have been paid...it was N10k per week or N20k per week. Now, I waited for her to start paying my money, she did not. On her daughter's whatsapp or instagram, i saw her bday with multiple dressings, medium house party...i just kept quiet. Recently, she said she is going through some issues when we reconnected back...I just shaked my head..Karma is real. Now, if she is on deathbed, would I be willing to even part with a dime? I have given out way more than that in charity, but the principle is what matters here. People just cannot be trusted. Now, I give what i can part with no matter the cries of blood coming from you.
