Beautiful works Goodhart. I wonder when I would get to that level. Made a handbag and a little hat. Work is still very far from perfect but I am still learning. Welldone everyone. |
Been working real hard and made a crochet slippers. I found an old hard cover book on crochet with glossy picture pages and pattern. I was just passing by at a popular bustop in Lagos when I saw it. I got it for 100 naira. Unbelievable! ![]() |

jeff1607:Very good and practical advice. The sad truth op is that your husband is a prowler. Can you live with that? He enjoys the hunt and the chase but choose you for a reason to be his wife. If you can bear and keep up with his attitude you might have a good and long marriage based on understanding. If he respects you better for you. But if you can't stand it anymore, the choice is yours to make... Good luck |
[quote author=mkoabiola post=49396596]Lol Iyana Isheri rd is one of d worst road in Lagos. D road is yet to b fixed. D light is beta now though Hw much is a mini flat at shasha area I believe you can get a mini flat at Shasha for 200k. At least the one I saw letting was that price. The roads are motor able and the light superb |
AlphaHandMaiden. Thank you so very much. The pattern and pictures you posted were so helpful. Thank you for taking out time to put me through. I am so impressed with the good work you guys are doing here. P.S I think I have caught the crochet fever, I am working so hard at it to see the finished product to the detriment of other things I have to do. ![]() |
Pls for the circumference of the hat, the size is 20 inches. Do I divide by three or I make the flat round get up to 20 inches?I actually worked the new hat to round seven (about 18inches) before I started extending. I am sorry if I sound so confused ![]() |
Thank so very much Ynnks. I spent the day digesting the pattern and directions you gave previously. I am working on the new one and hope to post a picture that you would be pleased with. You are a very good teacher too. I found it easier to follow your guide than the tons on the internet. Thanks once more. |
I tried to make a hat. Don't know where I went wrong so I am starting all over again. I don't want to give up so easily. Thanks Ynnk and all the pros in the house. Pls correct me.

I am just joining the train. Glad to be here. Thanks everyone I hope to learn alot |
Welldone op. God bless the work of your hands. May you live and enjoy your new home. I pray to achieve such a feat. In this life I must build a house of my own. |
mkoabiola:I was actually talking about the Isheri Road. From Isheri bustop to Iyana Isheri off ijegun Road. Glad to hear the light has improved but my new area at Shasha has very steady light. |
Pele op. The brighter side of it all is that once the burns heal you will be fairer in complexion. Seriously. Apply snake fat. Local herbs people sell it in the market or use honey/coconut oil. Stay away from pressure pots as you obviously don't know how to handle it. Pressure pots are much safer now and it is my most prized kitchen cookware. |
cleavon:Send me a pm please. |
Pavore9:Impressive! Nothing is impossible. I so want to do this |
Pavore9:Yes. Just that exactly. |
Pavore9:There is a growing weightless industry in Nigeria and they strive on the goods you mentioned. Their only source are speciality stores and they are extremely expensive. This is a good business idea. |
Nice one op. I am so impressed. I will like to take up vegetable farming too. Your farm is so neat and devoid of weeds |
Pavore9:We use dollar rates at the current black market price. I will look for the thread, I really wish to start the sack bag farm. Thanks |
Pavore9:I am supplying a Kenyan woman. In other news, I really need to start a small garden in a residential area in Lagos. No soil in the compound just cemented ground . I was wondering if I could do the sack bag thing or use plastic buckets. I am interested in planting just a few vegetables, pepper and sweet potatoes. What do you advice? |
[quote author=Pavore9 post=47792026]Goods worth tens of millions of Naira are air cargoed weekly from Lagos to Kenya without any documentation involved just as long as what is being exported is not contraband. Go to NAHCO shed at the airport and see the agents who are into it. I facilitate goods being brought in from Lagos to Nairobi, l have my contact person in Lagos drop the goods with the agent at the airport before Saturday of every week and once the goods are verified as not contraband, N520 is paid per kilo then the next Wednesday l go to the shop of the Nigerian agent in Nairobi to pick up the goods after paying the agent $2.20 per kilo for clearance. I just started doing this as a business. But I send fabrics like lace and ankara over to Nairobi and this is the exact process it takes. Thanks Pavore. You always inspire. |
Thanks op for sharing. I have been using uc for a long time and I really enjoy the experience. I have downloaded the add ons the ones I could find. I just hope I don't get more confused tho. Thanks ![]() |

I am in exactly the same crises. Moved into a house with accumulated bill of 80000. I do not intend to pay for what I did not use. I will only pay the current charges. The landlord should handle that. |
Working on this now for a school project. How interesting |
This just so sad. Such a sad and unfortunate incident. May God console and heal all parties involved and RIP to the dead. |
RIP I feel so sad and heartbroken. Such a young and promising man. May God grant his family the fortitude to bear their loss. Amen. |
