Working with mushroom private schools aka kereje schools is nothing but slavery. The very worst form of slavery. No respect, no good remuneration, no pension nothing.

Iju is a rural area that is not too far from the border, what is the school fees obtainable at pakoto, atan, iju, owode, igbesa, idi-iroko, ajegunle, adie owe, alapoti and other rural areas of Ado Odo/ Ota?If the owner does not have a minimum of N200 Million, his school will only be modeled for people in that locality. Investing the N200 millio does not mean the school will break-even in 5 to 10 years. There are lot people who have invested higher funds into school business who have converted their property to over viable economic ventures. The business enviroment in Nigeria is quite harsh. I know graduates who earned 15k as at September 2015 in the city of Lagos. When I asked them why they settle for such, the replies were that the places of work were walking distance from their place of abode. Whereas un-educated young people who live in rural border communities make more than this. My JS3 educated bricklayer at Alapoti has 3 houses, 2 are residential and the 3rd is a guest house/hotel, he also rears goat and pig. The animal husbandy gives him a minimum of N1 million every year and the guy is just 35 years. The owner of that school is obviously trying to break-even, he cannot get home-based talent in that locality. The talents in that locality usually work in Lagos and or about 4 schools in Ota. Those looking for work in the big schools in Ota, usually compete with pool of talents from Lagos and all over the country. NB, you can always pass your opinion and points across in a civil way. We are not having an argument, but a discussion and cross fertilization of ideas.

I don't understand the thrust of your argument. Are you trying to justify the 10k per month salary or saying graduates should forget about school and take up bricklaying? I am asking cos truly I do not understand your point. Everyone wants a break through as well including teachers an if bricklaying is the new goldmine let me go and learn it sharply. Hunger doesn't understand passion

Banku is the only meal I have not eaten there. I love Ghana foods passionately. I have a lot of Ghana friends too. But some of the souls are similar to ours in Edo state . Eg Groundnut soup, oil palm soup and Green green which we call Black soup. Of course it is our version of the soups I have eaten. N I looove shito sauce. I make it weekly for the family now and it beats the one being sold with kenkeh here.

That is how it is o. They will drill you as if it is one million they want to pay.
It does not speak well for a graduate to be paid or offered 15k after years in school. So what is the value of the certificate? The more we underprice ourselves the more we will be taken for granted.

Nice dfrost. Contrary to popular belief, some Nigerian dads are hands-on with their kids.

My jewel has been on heinz cereals since she started taking cereals. However it is sometimes dificult to find it in Lagos here and when I do, I tend to find only one flavour. I like your idea on mother's delight. I have never seen it tho'
Any idea where I can get it?

I see Heinz cereal easily at major supermarkets in Lagos. Try justrite stores they have. I tried mothers delight once and it was nice. My baby loves H&H corn and milk cereal. We also do Nutrilac banana and mixed fruit flavors. I alternate with pap and solids like semo, noodles and sweet patotoes. She also loves chewing on bread.
