The worst form of poverty is poverty of the mind. You're so intellectually poor that you couldn't pay attention and notice that criminals from different places stole the truck.

It would have been better if your parents exchanged you at infancy for one sachet of tomato.

Usually the first notification you will have your Australian visa application has been assigned to a Department of Immigration case officer is an email directly from the case officer.

The Department of Immigration case officer will review your application forms and the evidence you have gathered and assess your eligibility for the visa subclass against the Australian Migration Law, Regulations and Policy.

The Department of Immigration case officer will either grant the visa application or request further information to support the application so they are satisfied it meets Migration Law, Regulations and Policy. For example, if you have applied for a partner visa, spouse visa, de facto visa or prospective marriage visa the case officer may request you to provide more evidence of your relationship to be satisfied your relationship meets the "genuine and continuing" relationship criteria.

Further requests for other types of visas may include health or character checks or clarification on any points the case officer is not sure about or information they may have doubts about in terms of genuineness for example.

If your case officer requests further information they will usually give you a deadline to provide the additional evidence and/or information within 28 days. You should try to do everything in your power to meet this deadline. It is in your best interests to meet the deadline for three reasons, 1) the sooner you get your documents back the sooner the case officer can make a decision on your case and 2) if you miss the deadline the case officer may decide your application without the requested documents which is likely to lead to a visa refusal and 3) the case officer is working on other cases in their caseload and will work on the cases as the documents arrive in date order.

It is usually possible to get a further extension if totally necessary, this should be avoided but we have never had an extension request denied. If you do have an extension request denied, you should request the case officer speak to their team leader, manager, principal migration officer or senior migration officer or put you in touch with them. We would do the same if we were denied the first request for an extension as we would consider this unfair and unreasonable decision making.

You need to allow the case officer time to process your case once they have been allocated the file. They will normally grant it as soon as they can, however, keep in mind the service standard for that type of visa at the Departmental Officer where you have lodged your Australian visa application.

The time taken to process visa applications varies around the world, depending what country the Australian Embassy is located. There are local factors to take into account including the number of staff versus the number of applications lodged, the local public holidays, any sick or personal leave your case officer may take and their working arrangements, for example, some case officers do not work full time and are only in the office part time.

We do not recommend you contact the Department of Immigration with enquiries as this delays the process as they take a lot of time to respond to all of the enquiries in their inbox. The more time they take to do this, takes them away from their more important work of processing applications.

If you believe the case officer is taking far too long to respond, has not acknowledge your response or provsion of information or documents or your application has gone beyond the advertised processing times, then we suggest to contact the case officer with a copy to the Australian Embassy general email address for the relevant visa section.

Remember, until you have that grant notifcation you cannot make any major plans such a flight bookings, quitting jobs or selling houses. If you have any questions about your visa application that has been lodged or is about to be lodged or if you come up with some issues with the Department of Immigration after lodgement, please contact us to see how we can help.

Yes. You can pay your deposit when you receive your conditional offer letter. You can pay your deposit at any point after you have made your application, preferably no later than 8 weeks prior to the start of your programme. but it is advisable to wait, we have cases like that, though your money will be refunded but wot about the bank charges that have been deducted!

Happy new year in advance to everyone on this great platform.

I got a conditional offer to study accounting in University of Newcastle.I attempted to make my tuition deposit through GTB on 21st December 2015 but i was told that CBN has closed foreign exchange market transactions for the year and that they will resume on 4th January,2016.I want to know if i can still meet up with February 15th resumption date for my course.

I will appreciate a speedy response from the house.

Actually there is no big deal in conditional offer, if he can meet up with the conditions stated in his letter besides if he proceed with the payment & was unable to make it, his money will be refund.

from your statement *conditional offer letter* bro abeg wait for the unconditional offer letter before u proceed payment ooo, if to say u don pay its at ur own risk oooo. conditional offer letter does not mean u have been fully admitted, some of ur document are yet to be verified frm the university, so bro I will advise you wait till u are sent an OFFER LETTER
alaoeri:

You can meet up if your visa is 573 SVP & you lodge before January 10, front loads your medicals, inform your school as the resumption date is approaching, best of luck.

Good morning house I've been refused an Australian visa thrice so I met this man he works with the Canadian embassy in Abuja like he said he deals with Canadian, USA and Australian work visa. Anyway we talk about getting an Australian work visa, I've been reading about it but the way he explained to me i'm not convinced. He said I will pay him when the visa comes out from Pretoria, that I can verify it at the airport, call the embassy in Pretoria or via VEVO before paying him. All he said he needs to a start is my passport bio data page, two white background passport photographs, then I will go to Australian embassy in Abuja for my biometric before sending. I asked him what about when I'm in Australia what would happen he said they have officials there at the airport that no problem, I asked about PR he said he will link me with someone there that will put me through from Pretoria( I said to myself hmmmm). I'm very confused cause all what he's saying aren't really with what I've been reading online concerning all classes of Australian work visa. Please help oooo cause I don't want to get in there and have problem. Waiting to hear from good and experience people here. Thanks y'all

@masmek2016 I actually got admission @ the university of newcastle so I proceeded to make my payment using First Bank, I was debited after 3days of payment, thinking it was all over until dem debit second round d following day, as if it was not enough, the bank called me via telephone to credit my account again for I still want to debit more.... I don dey vex @ this time but I had no choice even if they wan 419 me, make dem sha debit so as for me to go to the next stage. After everything I was sent a Telex copy of my transaction and Globalpay sent me a msg on the 5day that they have received my payment and it has been sent to my account in the University of Newcastle, believing that after 3 to 5 working days I should get my ECOE but it didn't come .... I waited for 2weeks thinking that they were processing it. I got worried and decided to call UON, all they told me was that they haven't receive any payment with my student I'd and they can't give me a ECOE.... My head don hot ... I don dey fear, abi naso my 2million go enter water.. I decided to contact western globalpay and they told me that the university should check their account for they have sent the money to them since on the 13th of November 2015.... At last to cut the long story short! Na globapay do mistake for my student I'd and it was corrected and my coe was sent to me on the 27th Nov which is d next day. Na wetin make me apply late be dat oo.. I applied on the 30th of Nov and its just 2weeks 3days now... Make una pray for me ooo....
