Why does the FG want a secret trial. Wouldn't it be a major boost for the government's anti corruption campaign if Dasuki is made unclad in the Nigerian public

My friend there is no blackmail anywhere. Through the phone number, I was able to talk to HE Isiaka Adeleke from Osun state. Infact we had a peaceful deliberation. He promised never to disappoint Osun people.
Your civilized and peaceful, matured tête a tête with your representative, though noble, wasn't the intention or goal of the news blog. All the same, it's nice to see people displaying such maturity

TRUTHTOPOWER:
It appears Wailers and are still in pain over their miserable loss at the polls a year ago. They are wailing about every act or omission of the President, his family and and appointees. What should we do? #bringBackCorruption. God forbid.

#WeHaveDecided. No going back to Egypt. the human errors of today are better than blood monies a la arms gate and such calculated sacrifice of civilians for political gain.

Like GEJ said: "we don't give a damn" Are we supposed to reward Diezani, Dasuki Anyim and Co with four more years? WHAT WE WANTED TO PROVE WAS THE POWER OF A PEOPLE TO RID THEMSELVES OF THE RUBBISH CALLED "PDP...POWER" The people had mercy on whom ever they would have mercy on. We voted Gen Muhammadu Buhari. The little we have seen of him is far better than the mindless hopelessness of the last administration.

Let the President travel as he pleases, let his children travel as they please. let his ministers tinker as they please with policies. It is still better than BH marching into FCT or kidnapping over 200 girls in one act of terror. we can still work to finetune policies and moderate travelling. But we can never fully recover from the criminal negligence of the Wailers' Heroes!
It appears you are one of the 400 hypocrites and praise singers who's sole intent is to confuse and brainwash the government, into believing all is well, for your sole selfish benefit. It is not about PDP or APC, but about opposition, free speech, democracy and development

Today, i really enjoyed the interview with Segun Sowunmi, former DG PDP Presidential election campaign, on the gains and losses of the recent President Buhari's China trip. He gave a better account of the pros and cons of the trip. Watch and learn

Now, everyone can see that there is some truth in allegations levied by Fayose in his reply to the APC chairman. In this light, if the APC could engage in such then, then what makes the action of the Governor treasonous. The political commentary and actions of our legislature must be independent, so also our state governments. That's what the civilized worlds call DEMOCRACY.

As i have consistently mentioned, the SR team are playing with fire. In the previous administration they were assumed to have been the watchdog and defender of the public and 99% who could not speak for themselves. They were very essential in putting the previous administration on their toes. But flashforward to the current day, and they have turned themselves to the mouthpiece of some certain top shots in the APC. They should retraced their steps now, before it is too late

Acidosis:
Exactly.

Sahara Reporters should release the phone numbers and addresses of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the jagaban and Landlord of Lagos state.

So many Lagos indigenes live in Oshodi bridge, while an outcast occupy the most luxurious edifices in Ikoyi. If you're an indigene of Lagos, take your fight to your number one leader. Saraki's removal will not change your story.

You folks should use a funnel approach, start from the Top, and eradicate them all straight to the least. Do not allow an emperor somewhere remotely control your destinies.

Cut the fruit and the branches, the root (jagaban) stands and he will raise more, if not, dreadful fruits.

They installed Silva. They installed Audu (in spite siphoning N2Bn from Kogi), they installed Saraki (with a corrupt case as far back as 2003), what more can they not do?

Think Nigerians, Think!
It is no more news that Mrs.Remi Tinubu is a beneficiary of the jeeps, which are embroiled in the NASS cars scandal. Also Lagos state Senator Ashafa is said to have received his own share of the alloted Jeeps. So why aren't their numbers part of the shame and blame page on SR. All this kill yours and save mine will not work. Nigerians are now smarter and are evidently discontent at the recent economic malaise currently plaguing the nation. If the APC don't wake up to their responsibilities, then they are in for a rude shock
Politics › Re: Apc's Unfollow Saraki Hashtag Backfires (screen Shots ) by maupe: 3:47pm On Apr 19, 2016
It is better for us to pitch our tent with the SP for now, so as to make the office of the Senate Presidency an independent chair, rather than it becoming an extension of the Executive. Buhari might be a saint, but after him, whoever comes next, can not be trusted with so much authority and influence.
I RATHER DOCK WITH SARAKI
Politics › Re: Sahara Reporters Releases Phone Numbers Of Members Of Ethics Committee (photos) by maupe: 3:01pm On Apr 19, 2016
All this will amount to nothing. Attempting to blackmail the senators and stampeding them to fall into line with the wishes of certain APC leaders is a mission in futility. Nigerians will not be fooled this time around. Let the APC top shots handle their problems by themselves. They should leave us out of it.
Politics › Re: Hanan Buhari Flies First-Class To London: PDP Blasts Buhari by maupe: 1:44pm On Apr 19, 2016
Though there is much to be said about preaching and acting, i have to disagree with the PDP on this issue. The daughter of the President has every right to fly first class or lodge in the Presidential suite at the Waltz. She is not a public officer and did not seek the mandate of Nigerians. Wives and children should be left out of criticism political attacks. Although i would advice the President, to be more careful, and to have a sit down with his family. His message of fiscal and financial discipline must be started and vigorously pursued by him.

If SR had all the said numbers, wouldn't they have included it in their report. The Sentaor was merely trying to argue from a sentimental POV

Does T.A Orji represent Abia central or the entirety of the SE and SS. And is the Lady an indigene of Abia central. That is the beginning and end of the issue. SR is dead on Arrival

I beg to differ. What they did is for their own selfish interest. They are the originators of the said FB account, and they manufactured this story, just to spite and stampede the Senator into making a decision, without consulting the members of his constituency. The lady, does not even know what constituency, T.A Orji represents. They cannot speak for all indigenes of Abia Central. Let them pile up pressure on their own Senators, and leave T. A. Orji for Abians

Nigerians should disregard this hogwash. How does the said concerned Nigerian know that the Senator intends to vote for the grazing bill. The best thing she could and should have done is to ask for a Town hall meeting, where this issue could be discussed. She could have achieved this by reaching out to the various media houses inorder to put pressure on the Senators to organise one. The silly thing was to call the senator and then command him, on the basis of speaking on behalf of all peoples of Abia Central, and the SE and SS in general. Has she found out if every SS and SE individual is against the bill. This is to me, a brutish and uncivilized way to go about it. The said lady, is indeed, not serious. Imagine, she doesn't even know what constituency, the Senator represents

This is completely laughable and comical. Sahara Reporters have destroyed what little is left of their credibility. The Senator, who was said to have been attacked by irate Nigerians, has come out to deny their allegations. The SR should sit up and get their acts together.

I thought that arguement was struck out on the first day of the trial. Although, i have heard that the CCT is not charged with the authority to conduct a full trial. All in all, i think, it is high time the Senate President throws in the towel. He has fought a good fight, and in the intetest of the country, he should resign and leave the rest to his lawyers and God. He should also, use this opportunity, to drag and smear the name of his detractors. That is the best way forward

On the 24th of March, 2016, the President, through the SA on the Niger delta and Amnesty, Brig Boroh gave out a press statement that the massive oil spillage in the creeks of Ogoni land would be cleaned up by the government. Today, is the 18th of April 2016, and this massive cleanup has not yet started(to the best of my knowledge). Can anyone please enlighten me on the latest on this project. Because, so far, all i have heard, is the President's war cry to the country, against the VANDALS of the nation's pipelines

The NASS should go ahead and do that. The foolishness and immaturity being displayed by the Executive should not be tolerated. Just sign the budget, and later add into the supplementary budget, what was left out.

Mr Garba seems not to have gotten the details yet
That is the part, i don't understand. How can the media aide to the President, not understand a very important monetary policy by the government. Has he not being briefed by the executive? Or is it, that the Executive does not know, what was signed and agreed on. I am very worried.
Politics › Garba Shehu Has Me Very Worried by maupe(op): 4:27pm On Apr 18, 2016
Today on Sunrise daily, the SSA to the President, Garba Shehu was interviewed by the Sunrise crew, to clarify the gains of the President's China trip. To my utmost surprise, and fears, the SSA was unable to give a clear answer on what the gains of the trip were, and what is official and what is speculation. Worse, was, when he was asked, point blank, what the gain of the CURRENCY SWAP, was to the Nigerian economy. The SSA, first of all, puffed his mouth, and then blew out air, before going on to give a very shoddy answer to the question. He kept on saying the deal was still being evaluated, and more was coming.
This i don't get, hasn't the deal being concluded. What in God's name is going on. This government should Start making sense. I am really worried about the direction of this government. At this stage, in this century, a government has put pen to paper, to an agreement, they have not fully studied and don't yet comprehend. And now, with what i am hearing from the Ekiti state governor, Fayose, i am really scared. This government, should not push us.

Did I talk of Fuel? The economic growth figures were fake. The actions in the reserves and ECA showed the truth. The worst part was that we sold Crude over a $100. How she mismanaged such a windfall beats me.
And the fuel you bought was simply methylated spirit. How your car was able to burn the fuel is indeed a mystery.

And they did. Something, that unfortunately, this current administration, has time and time again, failed to do.
