PhonesRe: Blackberry 10 Devices Home: Z10, Q10 Etc by mavtrevor(m): 7:39am On Apr 08, 2013
My first impression with Z10 was cool, i like the phone though i will never use one (not a BB fan at all) cos i have Freedom with Android. A lot of apps aint yet available for Z10, apps like Viber, Whatsapp and Skype aint available yet, i hear Whatsapp is available when you upgrade your OS to 10.0.10.Bleep version yet our telecom in Nigeria haven't pushed the OS yet. So if you are buying Z10 you may have to wait for some months to get some apps.

uniqueval: Google all the way. those guys r from anoda realm. they are geniuses!
Geniuses? What kinda...those guys have totally redefined the internet and if you have been affected you will feel differently about them. What if they acquire Whatsapp just to absorb the team for one of their projects like the Google Babble and retire the application just as they did to Meebo?
PhonesRe: Facebook VS Google: Battle To Acquire Whatsapp by mavtrevor(op): 12:28am On Apr 08, 2013
If Facebook acquires it, it will definitely integrate it into their services and since they are known not to respect privacy policy, i wont be surprised if your Facebook friend who doesn't have your number starts sending you messages cos Facebook allows such....and as for Google, those guys are trying to monopolize the internet. Just look at how they determine who is relevant or not with their search engine updates as they like, i wonder if they wont retire this service like they re retiring so many like meebo, feedburner etc
PhonesFacebook VS Google: Battle To Acquire Whatsapp by mavtrevor(op): 12:17am On Apr 08, 2013
An article by DigitalTrend this morning suggests Google has offered $1 Billion to buy Whatsapp. This is the second of such news in recent times when TechCrunch published that Facebook is negotiating with Whatsapp to buy the popular cross-platform mobile instant messenger. This is just a rumor as none of the parties have made any official statement to this regards.

Report has it that Whatsapp is holding out for more than $1 Billion for this deal, if this deal goes through it will be the second of its nature after Facebook acquired Instagram for $1 Billion in 2012. Whatsapp may have become the internet battleground if Facebook and Google are actually bidding to acquire this app.

Which of Facebook or Google will you prefer to acquire this amazing app? Are you undecided like me? I will like to see Whatsapp remain by itself and serve its purpose as it has been than falling into the hands of these “evil geniuses” who will only acquire it to exploit its market value.
WOW, so your S3 is going to get a 4 inch screen via update? An infrared sensor on the top and one in front to detect your hand gestures , a bigger battery, a 4 inch screen you can operate with gloves too? Even a faster processor, a larger RAM, and a 13 megapixel camera will all be sent to you via updates
What a lucky guy you are smiley
And how significant are those features you just mentioned? Yu wont even notice the difference between photos taken from both phones with your ordinary eye. So cos a phone is bigger with 2" makes it cool to go for?
PhonesRe: Why You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 5:18pm On Mar 28, 2013
interesting....are we still discussing same topic?

Cant we discuss without using abusive words on one another? The basis of an argument is to teach and learn right? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, instead of making your point with insults try saying something reasonable, its your point against mine right?

So lets argue like civilized people. The topic is quite an interesting one and has made Google #1 for this topic.

My position on this is already known, i never said S4 isn't a nice device but i won't be having an upgrade just for the new features which my S3 will soon get via update. In less than a year an S5 will be here again and we will start all over again...i just dont think there is a significant difference between both phones for me to go for an S4, most people will buy S4 outta trend and not cos they can really see any differences.

Wait a few months from now and see what an S3 can do....
PhonesRe: Why You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 1:14pm On Mar 27, 2013
You can easily notice a significant difference between S2 and S4 but not much with S3, i also don’t see any reason why an S3 user should go for S4 except you are only buying it for the trend.
PhonesRe: Why You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 2:00pm On Mar 26, 2013
@texazzpete dont sound so personal remember its an opinion and everyone is entitled to one, no time have i said there is no difference between the S4 and S3, like i said you are talking as a tech head, how will an average phone user be able to differentiate the difference btw the two? or is S4 meant for only tech heads like you? If my dad uses and S3 and now the S4 is here what noticeable difference do you think can justify him having to drop the S3 for an S4? and tomorrow an S5 will be here, i am only seeing it like these tech companies are exploiting the average ppl with their devices taking advantage that ppl will go fr it cos its in trend. How many S4 users are going for it cos its better than S3? most will of course cos its the "new phone" and it can do new things....is that enough to go for a phone for?
PhonesRe: Why You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 11:52am On Mar 26, 2013
Most of you are talking as tech heads and i understand your positions, but how will an average mobile phone user understand the differences? someone spent some money less than a year ago to buy an S3 and now there is an S4 with no major difference and soon there will be an S5 lolz, most of the differences are software-based and if its so i wont be surprised when the S4 features will be ported into S3. In the article i didn't mention S2 because S2 and S4 are worlds apart but S4 is not that far with S3.
PhonesRe: Why You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 10:30pm On Mar 25, 2013
texazzpete: There's no way you'll get all the features. Some camera features are hardware dependent, there's no IR blaster

Anyone saying there isn't much difference between the S3 and S4 when it comes to hardware needs to get their head examined.
If you read the article you will notice there are no much differences between the S3 and S4 when it comes to hardware, Samsung has decided to add more value to software than hardware, in a few months from now another series of the phone maybe S5 will come out, so people will end up having the S3, S4 and S5 then.... Since Samsung will also provide those features via updates i dont see any reason why people should be extorted always.
PhonesRe: Why You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 4:07pm On Mar 25, 2013
S4 is definitely going to be one of the best devices of the year 2013. But the article is for those that already have an S3, they wont have to abandon their S3 for an S4 since they will be getting the same features via updates.
PhonesWhy You Shouldn't Buy Samsung Galaxy S4 If You Already Own S3 by mavtrevor(op): 12:17pm On Mar 25, 2013
The Samsung galaxy S4 is indeed an awesome phone with new features, Samsung is really trying to sell us Software-added value than hardware, if you compare the Samsung galaxy S4 and S3 you won't notice much difference in hardware but great difference in software, Samsung is trying to push the Samsung experience via their software innovations, but is this enough to abandon the S3 that was released not more than a year ago for the S4? In another few months who knows maybe the S5 series will be rolled out and so on....

If you already own a Samsung Galaxy S3 i dont see the need to go for the S4 since all the new features of the S4 will be made available on the S3 via updates. Click here to see more reasons not to buy the Samsung galaxy S4 especially if you already own the Samsung galaxy S3.

WebmastersRe: On-page SEO Vs Off-page SEO: Which Is More Important? by mavtrevor(op): 4:22pm On Mar 18, 2013
Akintayo and El Nino have both made nice arguments but as yu know my side already on this so my judgement will definitely be biased. Let's lay it out one by one....

As much as on page SEO is important as off page SEO, search engine ranking factor's tend to lean more on off page SEO than on page SEO. Ever wondered how some big sites dominate the SERP even when we can spot them disobeying SEO rules sometimes? If you like follow all the on page SEO rules to the letter it can't put you on top of the search engine rankings. Google consider a lot of things like number of backlinks and its quality to your page, social media signals, Social Bookmarking Submission, One-way Inbound Links (Not Link Exchange Or Reciprocal Links)/Guest Posting, Blog Posting, Article Submission, Press Release Submission, Forum Posting, Blog Commenting, Review Posting, RSS Feed Submission, Video Submission, Profile Creation, Link Wheel, Social Media Optimization etc
