Hi fellow NairaLanders

From my own point of view, majority had good score above 200 in the just conducted maiden edition of jamb utme exam. The fact that many passed the exam is not to be seen as good development after all as this is bringing about many questions including:
*is it all that passed tht will gain admission at the long run
*what is the fate of those choosing a school s second choice.
*will there be any entrance in those schools of choice
*how many(if any) entrance will each canidate write; 4,6 or what?
*how many vacancies are really availble; uni,poly,college
*what is jamb stand after conducting exam, "sidon look or what?"
*how much will roll into the pocket of teaching and non-teaching staff of schools indirectly
*what's the total fate of average Nigerian student
etc,etc,etc

What is your perception or view on the foregoing?

Lets air our views here and get to know "what'z up" as soonest as possible

Guys, two things are evident here:
1. Some of these pple are computer illitrate. they can't even differentiate booting from their boot or troubleshooting from shooting

2. Economic situation have so affect majority to have poverty mentality. So seen a lappy, the first thing they imagine is can one afford afford it and the next is inquisition.
This also made those pple high ball to rol when they see lappy and determine not leave the carrier freely.
it is also believed by about 20% or more nigerian that all carrying lappy are "yahoo boys". you cn iagine someone saying that a 50+ yr old man engaging in FX

I've been tempted to take peoples cash when they come up to me asking that i should teach em programming but i end up not taking it cause they have this weird idea that it'll be over in no more than a year and some think 3 months at most. I say just like aladdin, 'if u wish to be a geni be prepared to have it and everything that goes with it, including the bottle'.
