Therein lies the problem. Why are they (and you inclusive) so unwilling to admit it if so? You all are making the igbos appear desperate to claim you. If according to you the town is Ibo, what could be so wrong in simply admitting it for the record? Anyway, personally I feel igbos trying to reinforce ties with the Opobos are fighting a losing battle for as long as the settlers or residents of the island keep denouncing/denying their igbo roots.
