Good evening everyone, the wire on the negative terminal on my battery got disconected and I drove straight back home for over 15km without connecting it back. which means I drove back home batteryless. Did I have anything to worry about. saying this because the battery has finally ran down. I fixed the wire as soon as I got home, run it for some time, locked the car and went to rest only for me to come back to pick sometging from the car
and discovered the battery has completely run down. Pls, anything to worry about?
Thanks.

oldienavie:

grin grin This was exactly the same thing going through my head, the type of people calling themselves Born again these days is shocking.
This is what Christianity has become, it has been very diluted.
Someone that should bury her head in shame and cry out for forgiveness, someone still keeping in contact with the same person she committed emotional adultery with is still proud to seat on the throne of advise.

I bet she is a "women leader" in church teaching young women.
Such a terrible and sad thing to read, that a wife and a mother can become so loose as to make themselves vulnerable to this point highlights how weak this person is spiritually.

As a born again person, your spiritual antenna ought to be able to spot these kind of things from a yard away.

Reminds me of a particular white girl in my church, I knew she loved me and I always avoided her, we were put in a group together and she eventually got my phone number, that was when the stalking began. But having a pre-knowledge of her intentions I already knew how to handle it.

By the way I am single, so I wonder when married people who claim to be christians and have loving families behave like goats on heat without self control.

It is a shame... spits

I find it difficult to understand christians of these days their 'HOLLIER THAN THOU' attitude. Someone come here to share her experience with others so that others can learn than these thing do happen and how she got over the situation only for you to come here to castigate her without even making any meaningful contribution to the topic.
She just admitted the fact that what she did was wrong and she asked for God help to overcome the situation which of course from her submission God did help her.
Though I will agree to what someone said that there is a missing line...that is that she already developed a lustful desire for him...which is the adultery of thought you pointed out...but she was able to fight through it.
I appreciate her comming on line to share her experience because it would be a lesson for other careless married woman who will indulge in this or are indulging in this act (I mean those who have not had their concience seared).
Women are falling for this and more will still fall for it becouse hers is not the first and will not be the last...but her submission point out the fact that the end result always end in tears. In her own case, according to her story, she staggared as a christian but did not fall but many have fallen and did not know how to redeem their status/image.
Intead of castigating the courage of this lady let us tell how to deal with situations like this (loneliness in marriage). The role of husband and the role of the wife. What should the women that find themselves in this situation do...cos like it or leave it all men are not talking type, how do they deal with it, or what should women engage themselves in to cover for the boredom or what should men do to make up/help the communication gap.
And OP, I would advice you cut every chat or talk with the male friend, I can tell you for free its a matter of time, anytime you have issue with your husband the first person you will want to talk to will be him at at this time the devil may strike real heard. thank God you were able to escape the gimmick played on your delicate heart at the time 'cos if he had succeeded it might likely be a no return journey until everything finally becomes a mess.(though its a mess already)
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO KEEP AND GUIDE US.

COUPLES, DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR GOD GIVEN MARRIAGE AND RELATIONSHIP...it is a priceless gift of God.

One of the plugin is responsible, deactivate all recently activated plugin, your site should come back to life...then reactivate the plugin one after the other and test run your site @ each activation to identify which is the culprit. once identified, deactivate the plugin responsible and replace with another plugin with similar function.
if your plugins are on auto update...it means more work for you. You will have to deactivate your plugin one after the other and test run your site at each exercise to indentify the bug plugin, then apply the last rule above. You will be fine.

Car Talk / Re: How To Avoid The Common Honda Ball Joint Problem by Maxijoe(m): 2:16pm On Jul 10, 2021
quentin06:
between 2012 and 2014 I owned a 2003 Accord (End of discussion) I shuttle between Abuja and Calabar at least twice ayear , a distance of over 700km, driving through the bad roads of Ikom, Ogoja and some areas in Benue state, I never had this so called bow joint problem.

Yes the Compared to Toyota and Volkswagen the Honda wheels can look fragile , but the issue of shafts, bow joints and tie rod breaking or pulling

is common to most cars although different, these components usually give off a sign that all is not well, shafts makes noise when cornering,
with tie rods and bow joints there is excessive play in the front wheels.

Some Vehicle owners of Honda car who complain about these problems deliberately ignore the warning signs and blame the manufacturer while they re are at fault.

Through out the period I owned the accord, I have never been stranded on the road as a result of a bow joint problem.

i have seen owners of vw and toyota cars and suvs who were stranded because of torn shafts and broken bow joints a closer enquiry revealed prolong neglect of the warning signs by these owners.

Stop over flogging the issue, if you cant do necessary maintenance on a vehicle stick with a bike or keke. angry

your head they there, I don't deny the fact that the issue is not there but every car has it own defect. People considers several issues before selecting the cars they which to buy(except for few who just buy cars just because they like it without doing a thorugh resesrch about the said car). Honda is a very wonderful car on interior, feel, handle, engine and gadgets. The only defect people see in honda (leg pull) is not limited to honda only that it is common.

Now why is it common?
Though the ball joint design may be defective but its not as serious as we Nigerians portrey it to be.
Reason are not far from the following points;
1. Bad roads. bad roads is generally not a friend of any car's tyres or suspension and this is a major problem in Nigeria. Therefore if you stay in place where roads is generally bad forget about honda.

2. Rough handling. People want to handle their honda the way they handle some other cars. Honda is built for confort and enjoyment. If you are a rough rider, or have a never care attitude, honda is not for you just get your low life toyota and leave honda for those who know how to pamper their babe.

3. Inferior spare parts. Every car over time are bound to throw up some fault. honda is not an exception but there are inferior ball joint every where which when fixed cannot last the user more than few months. when you buy honda ask existing users with good testimonies on ball joint how they handle it.

4.Technical know how

Did you not just said he collects 70k as salary? If he spend 30k monthly for feeding and other utilities, and he keeps 10k for himself and other expenses and he is to save 30k monthly (that is if feasible). it will take approximately 20 months for him to recoup that 580k spent on your bride price alone, yet you want monthly stipens for your parent and other responsibilies, ABBA young lady its just 8 months and you are already complaining. at least you should give him time to balance before disturbing him on some of these things. he is definitly not happy with the way he was treated and even if you want him to do something as regards your brother, you just have to beg and pamper him to do it. its not easy to safe money this days. He love you so much to spend that much on you even when it was not easy. I wish you well in your marriage

Radautoworks can I pls get you opinion on this.

Good evening all, I want to appreciate everyone on this thread for their wealth of experience shared and most especially GAZZUZZ for creating the thread and ensuring that all issues raised get response. The experience gotten from this thread and other threads on nairaland with the help of God helped me to get a super neat car from a fellow Nairalander (An Honda Accord DC Naija used). Its been joy since I bought it.
But something is giving a serious concern, I bought the car nine months ago during COVID-19 as at then Mobil 5w20 was not in the market and I needed to service it, so my mechanic sudgested I use Mobil 20w50 which I opted for as the car was very due for service. I had serviced it twice after that using same oil (20w50) though at lower milage put on it (first @ 500+ mile and second @ about 1000 mile ) because I service it at exactly 3 months interval. I bought it with 160,000miles on it and a had only put like 2500miles on it.
The issue now is that I want to go back to its recomended oil, is it safe to do that at this point owing to the fact that I have only used 20w50 for nine months.
Let me stress that the engine is still rock solid still drips water @ exhust and no issue at all.
pls I need your advice on this profs in the house so that I did not shoot myself on the foot. Thanks
