SportsRe: Why Do Soccer Fans Ignore Nigerian Football by maxtop(m): 12:39pm On May 12, 2009
We are all entitled to our own opinion irrespective of any victimization from anybody. In actual sense, the Nigerian league is an eyesore and some drastic measures need to be taken if it were to redeemed the old glory associate with the league. Apart from the poor standard of the pitch, incompetent officiating, crap facilities, shit quality players, technically deficient management system as mentioned by one fellow nairalander, you dont get all the excitement you always see while watching EPL, Bundesliga, Seria A, Spanish liga etc.
I have the opportunity of watching a match in Onikan,Lagos and the match was between Julius Berger and a team from the East (i forgot the name),the match stand at a goaless draw as at 88 minutes of play and  an infringement occured at the center field, behold and lo,the referee took the ball walk down to the visiting team box and placed the ball at the penalty spot, there was pandemonium and the visitng team demend to know the exact problem coz from all indication a foul was committed in the center field and not in the box,the referee could not give any tangible reason for the penalty to be taken, After much disturbances and protest, the penalty was eventually taken and it was a goal and from that day i vowed not to watch any Nigeria league again.
Even to make matter worse,if you asked any child on the street to tell you his best club or best player, dont be surprised they will mention foreign players and clubs and that is to tell you that even the so called future of this country seem to realise football has failed in the country and something needs to be done fast to salvage it. grin

Consider yourself lucky, you married to the right man.

@ poster-----i will rather suggest you live with him for the rest of your life,i know it is painful to love and cared for somebody only for the person not to cherish the love. But i guess that is your own cross which you have to carry no matter the circumstances. I know some people will tell you to live your man and settle for divorce but i want you to remember the Biblical saying :"the devil we know is far better than an angel we have not seen."

Just let your man realize the extent to which he has ruined your marriage despite the fact that you gave your all to the marriage. In this type of situation; patience, perseverance and prayer will see you through and if you so believe in God and His wonders ,he can turn a new leaf. Be in peace and harmony with him.

Cheers,

C

PoliticsRe: Interim governor for Ekiti State: For Or Against by maxtop(m): 12:11pm On Apr 30, 2009
Appointing an interim governor for Ekiti State will not solve the recent political crisis in the state ,this is because whoever will be appointed will have difficulties with the whole citizenry hence i think the outcome of the election should be released and result announced, shikena, no more ,no less grin

PoliticsNigeria Police Force Has Increased There "tarriff" On The Highway: by maxtop(op): 1:31pm On Apr 29, 2009
It is now a common occurrence to see the "men in black" collecting money from the motorist in Lagos and indeed in the entire nation. But recently i was amazed to see these people demanding #100 as against the usual #20. I cannot help but laugh at this so called scenario where a police offer to give balance (change) to a conductor who gave the policeman #500 note. These men in black are everywhere and am wondering if the IG has something to say about his men who continually tarnish the image of the force despite the "improved welfare package" for them.

(a) Did you have anything to say about these national disgrace?
(b) Where did you normally find these "men in black"
(c) Is there any improved welfare as announced by the IG, ?

Let us discussed these burning issue and perhaps you may want to recall your experience with the police.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Beware E Breakthrough Ltd Are Scammers! by maxtop(m): 10:26am On Apr 27, 2009
my fellow Nairalanders,i was so happy somebody brought up this burning issues for discussion and also to tell those who are so desperate to beware of this so called scammers, If we call those bunch of idiots at Esther BT crooks,i think it is an understatement, they are "unarmed robberies or pen robbery"( forgive me for the usage of dat  grammar).
Three years ago,i was in search of a job and i applied for position,i got a quick response and i was invited for a test penultimate Saturday, as usual i prepared well enough for the test and getting there i met hundreds of job seekers like myself and i could remember i asked one of my fellow job seekers the credibility of these people because i was not impressed with what i saw that day.he told me we should just "believe" since jobs are scarce to get nowadays, we did the test in the last floor of that building which i think is a church. After the test,we are told that successful candidate will be invited for interview and job placements but we have already paid for a file (#50) before we did the test.
Just 4 days later,i received a message on my phone that i was one of the lucky candidate who passed the exams and i should check for details in my e-mail box, i rushed down to the cafe to check the details and i was surprised to see that we are going to pay some money before we collect the appointment letter, i paid #2500 for the appointment and i was to go o the company who need my service, on getting there i was surprised to see the manager of that company who told me they cannot afford my transport allowance not to talk of the salary, i report back to Esther BT who told me to apply for another job vacancy,
To cut the story short,i applied for another job but on the day the day of the test it rained heavily and i was late to the venue of the test.Th amazing thing was that i didnt write anything on that day what i wrote was just my name and the position i applied for but i got another message on my phone that i was a successful candidate in the test and that i should check my e-mail box for details, that is when iit dawn on me that they are 419ers.I didnt go to their office coz i knew it will be the same old story allover again.
i want to make a suggestion and i want to know if we are not taking laws into our hands, Cant we bombard their office and beat the hell out of those people because if we should report the case to the police, they will not do any tangible and concrete thing, Am waiting for the response, please.

RomanceRe: Can A Stingy Man Change? by maxtop(m): 4:20pm On Apr 24, 2009
In my own opinion, I think you have already crucify the guy without any consideration at all, maybe he is not financially buoyant when you met him and you cannot labelled him as being "stingy" based on dat, so what i want to you to do is that yu shd have patient with the guy and try to give him some time, best of luck.

My brother, i can understand your situation but i think is high time you moved ahead in your career coz i dont see any reason why you continue exerting your precious time and energy on somebody who do not appreciate your little contribution, and i wanted to ask you if the pay is right and also to know if the school was approved, ?
BusinessRe: My Friend At GTBank Took 80,000 Naira From My Account by maxtop(m): 10:07am On Apr 16, 2009
Bros, with all sincerity you are wicked, Haba,at this time of "economic crunch","global meltdown","global recession", you
are owing somebody 80 grand when in actual sense you have the means to payback the money, what your friend did was totally unprofessional and highly unethical but for friendship sake you have to pardon her for that , she did it out of annoyance. You she helped you when you are in need of the money and one good turns they say deserves another, dont takeup the case with her as this could result to loosing her job and am sure you wont want her to roam about the street looking for another job, behave maturely and make her realise what she did was wrong, Cheers.

FamilyChoose Wisely: by maxtop(op): 11:29am On Apr 15, 2009
I am wondering if handsomeness should be a paramount factor for choosing a life partner, ? You don't seem to have a problem to me but your only problem is you because you have attached so much important to beauty in a relationship as against caring, trustworthiness and love, I think you will prefer a partner as handsome as Ramson Noah which will turn you into a punching bag or a partner as "handsome again" as OBJ and which will treat you like a queen and treat you beyond your imagination, The ball is your court now, A word is enough for the wise, grin
