Hello House!

Any female going to Toronto in August for fall term? I would like us to connect please.
Travel buddy, roommate for the 3 days quarantine because Lord knows I will not take this vaccine in Naija, then possible roommate in Toronto or suburbs around Toronto if your school is there.

Toronto is damn expensive fah!!!! embarassed

Hi. Congratulations once again. If you have about 7 weeks to your travel date, try to get both shots of the vaccine. You can get them six weeks apart. The vaccine is legit, the govt received it freely from WHO. It is a cheap (free) sacrifice and would be a far better option than paying between $2000-3000 CAD for hotel quarantine and apartment.

I also read that only family members would be allowed to get a room together. You may be able to stay together for the quarantine apartment but the hotel would be a solitary cost.

Please how can i use flutterwave

You open a Flutterwave barter account. Fund it with your naira Atm card, then use it to pay when submitting your permit application.

Hope this helps.

Hello guys, please how can one pay for the visa application fee, my card keeps declining.

Most banks have a $100 dollar limit that prevents ppl from using their debit cards to pay for international transactions.

You may have to ask a third party to pay for you. A responsible friend/family member abroad could pay for you. I would advise that you exercise caution while doing this because it has lead to a 5-year ban for many on this platform.

Or u could use some websites like Flutterwave etc... to get it done.

Personally, I have a domiciliary Atm card that I used to make the payment. If you have one or know anyone that does, please use it.

Thanks Guys

So how do i go about doing upfront Medicals. Assitance will be much appreciated.

Thanks.
There are only two approved organizations for Medicals. Iom and Qlife.

Iom has two branches, one in Abuja and the other at Ikeja GRA in Lagos. Price 46,500

Qlife only has one branch at VI in Lagos. Price 40,000

Appointment and payment must be done before the d-day.

I don’t have links for the clinics but I’m sure if you Google them well you will find a suitable website to book the appointment

Hi, People..

Submitted my application in May and i havent gotten any update. Can i apply go ahead and still do my medicals?

Thanks.

I don’t think a lot of May ppl have gotten updates. IRCC is still addressing February, March, and April applications.

Though I’ve seen some May applicants get PPR but they are usually reapplications, not first timers. I believe in July, they will also attend to May applicants that met the May 15 deadline.

I envision a rain of PPR in July and early August

Hi Guys,

I submitted application since May oo. done Boimetrics and no other update since then.

Can i apply for my medicals and do my medicals without them asking for it.

Yeah you can. Doing your medicals helps you save time. For instance, if you get a medical request, it may take you an entire month or more to get a date, get the results, and then get PPR request from the embassy.

So it is best to get medicals upfront if you don’t have much time.

Congratulations on your wife’s admission. Yes, getting admitted isn’t easy and it is worth rejoicing. I remember being on cloud 9 for an entire week after getting an admission letter from McGill.

I guess the reason why many ppl didn’t respond was because this is a visa thread and not an admission thread. Most of the ppl here already have some sort of admission. Either way, you’re right. The little wins also need to be celebrated. May God perfect the rest of the journey for you and your family.

Congratulations LadyBlaq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and congratulations to everyone who have received their PPR. I am so happy for everyone. For those of us still on the journey, let us persevere in faith and trust God to complete that which He has started.

I also implore all of us to celebrate even the most little accomplishments. I posted that we had finally gotten admission into University of Regina after 4months+ of waiting and not a single congratulations from anyone. We only congratulate those who got PPR. Let us celebrate every the little victories.

Godspeed to us all.

I also got AstraZeneca. I’m fully vaccinated. My experience with the first shot was a bit different from others. I was very weak, had body pain and peed a lot despite taking panadol. But after three days I was back to normal.

The second shot was easy. Didn’t even take panadol. No effect at all.

I didn’t pay. Completely free for myself and my family. Local governments arent charging. Can’t say for private hospitals.

CHIKACIC:
Just took my first dose of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine.
I was told to come back in 6 weeks time (2nd August) for the second dose.
Also that the side effects differs, but commonly headache, pains and high temperature. I was advised by the Nurse to take paracetamol once I get home or start experiencing any of the above side effects.

Hope this helps for those you need the info.

Hi,

We no longer need to quarantine if you have collected the full dose of the vaccine

https://twitter.com/TundeTASH/status/1402622704692477956?s=1006

I think it is false. The tweet has been deleted. It would be a nice improvement tho. The 2kCad can be used for other things. People that still have about 3 months to their travel date should try to get the vaccine, just incase they adopt this new method.

Good afternoon, please I am new here and need advice on some things;

1) please most of my funds are in stanbic ibtc bank and they do not make use of Mybankstatement platform, please how can i go about submitting it because i am considering going through the NSE route

2) If funds is being withdrawn after submitting my application from the account that has a bulk amount of my funds, can it affect my application or is there a way it can be tracked by IRCC

3) what are the things that are required in a reference letter from an organisation I no longer work with

Please gurus in the house kindly help out with these questions. Thank you

Hi!

1. Don’t transfer the funds. You need to show how the funds grew and a single lump transfer is a huge red flag. If your bank doesn’t do MBS, use regular bank statements.

2. Funds can be withdrawn after application but it is best not to do so. The VO may request for another bank statement at any point during your visa processing. Unless the huge withdrawal is for Payment of Tuition fee, please avoid doing it.

P.S your funds can’t be tracked. They only see what you give them access to via MBS or upload via bank statements.

3. I have no idea about this. Please wait on others to respond.

I would like to point out that if you’re going to submit an application as an employed person, you need to drop a statement of your salary account. This may not be relevant to you tho.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by may99(f): 12:17pm On Jun 09, 2021
Are you sure you’re using the right platform. Cause I applied a month ago and I didn’t see this new platform.

Why not use the regular GCkey area? Cos from what I can see here, you can only upload a file of 2mb and this would limit you a lot. It doesn’t cost you anything to follow the tested and trusted path.

Hassan19:
*VERY URGENT PLEASE*
I saw a new way to apply for a study permit and I used it instead of the normal way of creating a GcKey. Now I think I’m the only one that used this path. Should I start again and go through the normal path?

*Note* I’m at the last phase of submitting my application.

Kindly check the picture uploaded below to confirm?

Has anyone used the method of applying?

And do I need to upload the Imme forms because I didn’t see anywhere to put it but I’ve already filled it in s section before getting to the last phase.

I got a refusal though, for home ties both in Canada and Nigeria. Apparently, my ties in Canada are way more than those in Nigeria. I will order GCMS note. I may reapply or opt for the US. But US is priority right now.

I wish you all a delightful outcome in your applications. We learn every day, and some experiences are worthwhile, even though they are a bit sad. But we move!

I applied on March 11 by the way.

I got NSE request on the 25th of May and I had written the exam already even with the shortest notice, I just want to ask how long do I have to wait for my result to get to me so I can send to IRCC via webform.

Many Thanks

Hi. Got NSE request same day. Wrote IELTS June 3.

From what I understand, paper takes 13 days to show on portal and the Test report form would be delivered within 2-5 days depending on your location. For Computer tests, portal would be updated after 5 days and result would turn be couriered within 2-5 days.

I’m anxious for my results. Didn’t have much time to prepare. I wish the both of us goodluck

Someone should please answer me oooooooooooooooooooooooo

Please anyone abeg, I have been asking questions yet no reply. I did my biometrics on the 25th of May yet it has not been updated till now. I did medicals on the 26th at Q-life yet no update on my CIC portal.

I have raised web forms but no response it is still showing that my biometrics is needed.

What should I do, I am so worried.

I’ll advise you to keep raising webforms until you get a confirmation that your medicals have been received. You can also message Qlife at
canadamedicals@qlifefamilyclinic.com for information on whether your medicals have been uploaded.

There is also the possibility that some action is going on your application behind the scenes. There are cases where nothing is seen happening on the portal before a decision is made. Just stay strong and keep raising those webforms.
