What amperage rating does your alternator have. I hope it was same specification originally came with the car

Do we not replace bad components in engines anymore and we instead just swap it out?

Yes, the engine was probably ran with low to no oil in the crankcase but the components like crankshaft, camshaft, cylinder bore, etc can be inspected for spec and reground or replace.

You can't understand. A lot of factors are put into consideration in this type of case

1) type/ viscosity of engine oil the owner has been using
2) sludge Nature of the engine
3) I would consider the age

An engine with a considerable number of sludge in it. How do you go about solving a rattling sound. In order to avoid stories that touches the heart replacement engine would be the way forward.

My company mechanic thinks its the engine seat,when i told him about it over the fone,though he is yet to inspect the car. I actually drove through some rough terrain recently. i will see him tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you actually took off your battery terminal and put it back your car needs to undergo a relearn process to stabilise which can be done only manually by completing a drive cycle. But if otherwise then check your engine mountain and spark plugs conditions as well and check for unconnected vacuum intake hoses

What engine type do you have there? If 2az engine there by have been numerous complains about oil shortage on 2az engines. Ask your mechanic to check for oil leaks first

Your check engine light flashing means you have a serious misfire on all cylinders of your cars. There are many things that can cause a random cylinder misfire, I would advice you stop driving that car for now as a misfire Is hazardous to your engine. Can you differentiate between voltage, current, resistance, and continuity reason I ask is so as not to send a feed back voltage to your ecu there by getting it fried up
