Gentlemen in the house please help. I use a Toyota highlander 2003 model and I have been having issues with the gear box. Once I start the car and shift the gear lever, which is usually hard, to drive or reverse it makes a noise and jerks. What worries me most is that when the gear change from 2 to 3, it disengages completely for some second then you hear this annoying sound like gbuuum and the car jerks. The two mechanics I contacted said I need to replace the fear box. Guys is there anything I can do than change the gear box because I don't have that kind of money now. Thank you.

Bad roads can cause engine knock. Wierd but true. I found this out first hand this January.
I drove over a presumed shallow pot hole only to be surprised it was very deep. The impact created a resonance which caused the crankshaft and engine block shift from allignment. This resulted in the crankshaft not turning properly thereby creating a knocking sound. I had to replace the engine block and the wounded crankshaft.

Problem has been there prior to the day of the incident

Pls I have Honda Accord 2005 popularly known as Eod,recently the D n D3 light will b showing together, I dnt knw what could be the cause.The D light blinks while the D3 stays

I changed Oil,after changing the Oil,it will drive a while then both light starts showing again.

Pls Engineers in the house,what could be the cause though i have not changed any switch,I'm jst afraid.

And again it doesn't change to gear 4 when the both lights are on,from the first gear, second gear,third gear,it won't go more than that excepts the D3 goes off.What can I do?

What type of palm oil did you pour inside the transmission? Run a scan first and post result here. Worse case scenario you change gearbox

How do we take out this from cars. Definitely this would be much more heavier than the conventional tyres engineers have suffered

One major factor with these "automatic compressors" is the viscosity of oil used in them. Just like the engine/transmission that require certain grades of oil, the compressors have recommended oils too.
In fact most of the "contaminations" found in the system is as a result of wrong grade of oil filled in the compressor, which is often the old/wrong thicker oils our people are used to. These oils are too thick which makes the parts grind themselves to death.

Asides oil. Refrigerant, authenticity of d parts installed, and so many other factors. Refrigerant plays a major role. Have seen fake refrigerants when introduced you see burning flames coming out and some also choke your ac system to death. My car would be 4yrs by August and I have used same compressor that came with the car at time of purchase. Condenser only changed

This is not a a body control module from the picture you posted but rather an "IPDM" ( intelligence power distribution module). Its better you state what you state what wromg with your ride. That module hardly gets spoilt only on the condition that the electrical system of a csr was messed up by "baba sirifa"

If your alternator has been worked upon. Kindly go replace it

Gear already slipping out

You drove a whole car and oil leaked out .this is serious. Good news your car still has a second chance to come back to life. Bad news am afraid you need to get a replacement engine if your story is actually same as what has happened.

am sorry @ op. You need to change your gearbox and stop wasting money around. A client of mine had same issue on brnz c240 2004 and it happened the oil leaked out basically because the connection from the radiator to the gearbox was weak. In the end we had the almighty fault error "incorrect gear ratio" though d benz terminology is different. Came up with almost all sensors and switches being bad when scanned. Immediately I told him to have the gear box changed and he did and has been using it, have your car scanned first

the cooling system will never overheat becoz of brake binding but the dics/rotor will definately overheat


so which overheating is s/he asking about ?

Who says. Don't forget when there is z binding brake depending on the degree your engine and transmission is over worked. What happens when its over worked?

Hi Honmusa, my BMW E60 goes into limp mode when trying to gain speed especially when accelerating. It's kinda sluggish now and after scanning I got cylinder 1 misfire.

Earlier before when I got the limp mode, the culprit was the VANOS solenoid which I replaced and solved the issue. Now the error I got before replacing the solenoid has returned. Error is camshaft sensor mechanical and camshaft sensor stiff.

Fuel pump was replaced last month and it really ade the car so snappy and fast but it's now sluggish. What could be cause of the misfire. I was told to fill my fuel tank and buy Mobil fuel treatment first if that would solve it.

Any misfire on the car? Value for the mass airflow looks high if on idle. Does engine idle well?

Any update?

If I may come in here the actual values were captured when your car was on motion?

Check propella from front to rear. Also check suspension parts closely

I could remember someone brought a jeep cheerokee to me. He couldn't start the car from the igntion with the aid of the key. He starts with a switch like this just like an okada . You need to trace yours to know what its meant to operate

If you fans are wired directly then that might just be a likely cause if current was tapped from the wrong source if otherwise you could have a short to ground somewhere
