The Chief Priest himself.....check out his eyes and his bangle,....you dare not try him or you come back on a groundnut chaff through sea....
............then this
........then this you remember?
...........so this happened
......is that the old foundation for the bungalow ?
.......encasing the guys continued....
.......time to encase the guys
......
........more concreting
......those 16yrs old guys were bound, concrete footed, and stood up since they are now matured to start protecting and defending their mums....eeh!
.........and layed irons some in 8 straddles (for outer walls I guess) and some in 6&4s (internal walls probably), boarded, and concretized covered all trenches, and covered, and covered till all trenches are covered with 9inches or whatever by whatever concretized logs that formed the foundation base I'm I right?....please ask Abdulwastecx what that type of foundations are called if you care to. I dont have a clue!
........and shallow trenches that can't even hide my excitements ( that the project has taken off at last).
The guy asked them to dig a massive 4ft by 4ft hole enough to bury the while cash I've worked for my years abroad. Kai!
.......He is briefing
........and it started
......and he (Abdulwastecx) came with his men
In anticipations.....
Finally, here it is. The handwork of one and the only Abdulwastecx
Mayor78:Ooops! low memory......upload issue, will resolve and revert. |
Right! Following personal reasons and change in circumstances, their was some changes, indeed major changes to the proposed plan of a 5 bedroom duplex as per the title. While the circumstancial changes were all for good, the wise counsel and help of Abdulwastex was better, instrumental, and handy to now proceed with a plan that involves the upgrade of an existing 4bedroom all ensuit bungalow to 7bedroom with a penthouse. All for good! Here is the plan....... |
gbadexy:This must be a joke ![]() Containerised house for millions and millions!!!! What happens to mother earth mud house that I will spend millions on container house when am not in Brixton market. Even in Brixton market where Oyibo people are subtly chasing Jamo's and other blacks out of their age long London surburb sanctuaries, containerised structures aren't that expensive. But what is my own sef!! Even if they cost nothing, It would make more economic sense for me to spend the cost of adapting it to livable space to constructing a super mud house anyday. Except if I have to import mud which is unlikely anywhere in naij. Some building innovations are meant for travellers, transient companies, and campers!! No wonder!! |
erico2k2:Oboy no be small, update loading as NL contractors would say. ![]() |
twinskenny:Many thanks Kenny! request respectfully noted. |
I would soon start providing updates on this project as construction has started with some modifications, infact a change for good from original plan following wise counsel and professional help from an astute nairalander Engr. Abdulwastecx. For their help so far in the project, may the Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy fulfill Abdul&Podosci's heart desires, as other well meaning nairalanders too numreous to mention who has provided me with info and courage in their feeds to initiate this project. God bless you all! Please say Amen! |
erico2k2:Erico what's funny, most in my age aren't innit generation or born with silverspoon.........you forget say most of us were highly priviledged to grew up in mud houses, which by the way is very cool during the hot weather and warm during harmattan season.....due to a sort of natural airconditioning system already factored in by our ingenius forefathers during construction......and unfortunately an evolution that didnt continue with this our now the what's up! and oyibo made is the best mentality generation. Unsurprisingly these same mud system of building and thatched roofing are springing up here and there in some European towns. They aren't in short supply in some Welsh, and English villages especially along Holyhead-Chester-London train routes. Let cement no come down and see whether we can't retrace our mud ideas, afterall some folks here are already tinkering on starting the burnt brick evolution. |
It appears the price is coming down, I bought N2,050 @Onitsha yesterday. As distributors resorts to hoarding over fear of escalating forex creating artificial scarcity and price hike, savy and shrewed builders resorts to adjusting speed and rescheduling project take off, the shylock hoarders has and will still have no choice than to open their warehouse thus causing price to start climbing down. Bulk storage of cement over time cost money. Let them hoard, and we will remain in our mud house afterall we were born and thrived well in it. |
twinskenny:Many thanks Baba |
Thanks thats the way to go |
EgunMogaji:Egun, this is your personal house, I doubt if you are in a race. I quite like your pace and the way you are taking your time to consider everything and indeed open to changes from your intended plan provided they come within affordable budget. I like that. Well done bro! |
enugu6br:@enugu6br, I doubt very much if the house is yours at least by your attitude of avoiding to address issues raised by the Engineers and resorting to command and bullying as iif they are your boys. These guys are professionals who have shosen to stake their security to travel from the Northern states to go and work for you in the remote Enugu village, Yes, it's part of their job to do so but they deserve some respect as well. It is unfair to prey on their operational priniciple of delivering any job they started if hurdles are manageable to keep bullying them. 'House is mine,' house opening in 2 months', Hajji M your invited', story of this house to be told'. Give us a break please! The fact is that the house is not yours, is not going to finish in 2 months even in 1year remember that the Engineers met some blocks which appears to have been there for over ten years and suddenly your bragging of opening the house in 2months, and inviting Hajji M if only that would secure you a temporary online support against the Engineers. Hajji M would leave attending to mature events in US to your mosquito infested village. Keep your sentiments bro and ensure that you supply the Engineers the necessary materials to enable them fulfill their contractual obligations. Stop being childish bruv! Every house has a story by the owner but you don't have story for this house because it isn't yours. |
EgunMogaji:Are you suggesting that quality of blocks lessens as it stays outside unused? I thought blocks can be parked as long as possible in so far the mxtures and curing were right and satisfactory from unset. If rain affects blocks parked outside, I wonder what happens to those blocks often seen on fences that remains unplastered for years. Am I missing something, please tell me more. I have blocks intended for use lying out there in the open. I don't know blocks have 'best before date' uuuaaaoooh!! |
