I use the two
To me manual is faster to wash for lazy people like me and if your supply is much you won't need to be pressing too much if not you will grow muscle o.
Electric has plenty parts, if you have a pumping bra and a power bank you can do a lot while pumping.If you don't have pumping bra you'll just be looking like zombie while pumping cos you'll have to put the bottles to your breast with your hands.

Hi mamas how long is bleeding after child birth?. I noticed water coming out of my vag this evening I thought I was bleeding at first is this normal?

How many weeks postpartum are you? If less than 6 weeks, it might be lochia which is normal. Are you still wearing pad cos I noticed the same thing anytime I didn't wear pad till it stopped finally.

1. I pump in the morning as soon as i wake, i pump at work in the afternoon, and i pump as soon as i get back home before feeding my baby.
2. My estate have a relatively good power. Infact i can count how many times i on the gen for the purpose of keeping my freezer frozen.
3. Refer to 1. Breast refilling is subject to the individual. Mine is usually full enough to pump 120ml after about 3 hours.
4. I sometimes take pap at night. This normally boost production by morning.
5. This ranges from 500ml - 550ml depending.
6. I wash with soap and running tap water after wish i rinse off with sachet water or any bottled water. I sometimes sterilize with the microwave or dip them in hot water.
7. I bought a breast milk bag like a ziploc. Fill them up to 130ml and store in the freezer. If she is going to use it up that day, i leave it in the feeding bottle and keep in the refrigerator.
8. No idea.

Note:
1. Before resuming back to work, start pumping. I had enough stashed in my freezer before i resumed.
2. You can give your baby only one breast throughout the night so that the other breast can be really full for pumping by morning.
3. My baby drinks up 5 bottles of 120 - 130ml each before i get back home by evening. I leave the house 6:30am and get back 7pm.
4. You need enough feeding bottles.

I am done with EBF now. Baby rejecting formula. I however, pump only at work now. I could express up to 360ml at a go now. Yes, i naturally lactate like crazy.

Doctor said nothing is wrong that I should continue using steam but it has not gone still.

I and dh was enjoying every every and voom d next month I tested positive.. I had a mixed feeling about it sha.. I don't knw if am happy or sad but las las I was so excited that another baby is coming without stress of trying to conceive.

The first trimesters was not easy for me... From vomiting, spitting, heart burn, loose of appetite, weight loss, infection, a little contraction that stoped after bed rest and all d wahala but we scaled through it all.

Second trimesters was so sweet and full of shakara for me.. I was slaying back to back oo no dulling�� my appetite was getting stronger everyday, gradually I stopped spitting and back to my normal self.. Not forgetting d oza room matter���DH was enjoying every moment of it and we love it (world people) lolz.

Third trimesters was not easy for me.. From heartburn, bleeding gums, pelvic bone pains, my skin was getting dark, v.g area tripped in size and heaviness down there no be small one ooo. I was having contraction at 8 months and was place on bed rest so that I can enter 9 months fully and also baby can bake well too.
Foodie was my second name... I was eating like a hungry lion and my tummy was so massive that people were thinking am carrying twins.. I weighed only 64kg ooo. I started my exercises, staircase climbing, dancing, taking a long distance walk, eating pineapples and dates and drinking zobo as well to help induce labor natural. My blood level was 33 as at last checked and no issues with that. V. E done on 11th Dec showed 2cm dilated but cervix is closed, doctor wanted to admit me but I no gree oo. Last scan said baby weighed 2.9kg and I was so happy about that I don't want a big baby that will result to giving me tear. I was praying and speaking positively to my baby and my body. I wanted a fast labor and sharp sharp delivery and God did it for me.

Delivery Day!!!
I went to antenatal on Monday 21st December 2020 and after palpation I told the midwife that I was having contractions especially at night which will stop in the morning and slippery mucus/ discharge that has been coming out for d past one week especially in d morning too. She requested that V.E be done. I want to maternity ward and was checked and 3cm dilated but d contraction is not strong..I was ask to go and get my bag immediately that I am not going back home..I was happy oo and told them to allow me go home and get my bags and arrange some things too. I left d hospital and went straight to my church (chapel) and prayed about it and went back home to do d needful..with all this I was not having any pains oo.. I really waka that day. Off I went back to d hospital with my bags and I was checked again 6cm dilated... See me rejoicing��� I was walking around d room and praying too.. D contractions was coming and I decided to take a hot bath. After the bath d contraction was kind of slow and I was scared oo but I kept faith alive. I went and lay down to know what is going on and I can't feel it coming again.. Haa! I went and start climbing their staircase sharply ooo and speaking to my body too. I climbed oo until I was tired and I went back to my room and lay down and d contraction started coming again with a very strong urge to poo... I went to d toilet and poo and went back to my bed.. D contractions was coming back to back and am getting weak and shivering due to enduring of d pains. ( it was much on me) I was ask to be drinking glucose water to give me strength.
I was still laying on my bed and my baby broke his water and d nurses had to rush me to delivery room to know how far gone. She was still wearing gloves and d urge to push came��� my baby was pushing and coming out on his own oo I was calling them to do fast and d are telling me madam don't push oo just open your mouth and breath in������mogbe!! nurse but I was breathing in nah and my baby is pushing me oo I can't hold it oo�� d quickly wore their overall and I was ask to push..Na there drama started oo lol I pushed d first one and the midwife said madam stop pushing like a ftm nah do it like a pro ( me looking at her like a pro��) who your pro help!!
With d next contraction I screamed and push out my baby.. He was screaming his lung out immediately he came out at 11:55pm weighing 3.29kg without tear ( is God not wonderful) Placenta was birthed after some mins and I was cleaned up and taken to my room. This boy started crying that night for breast milk and I was forced to breastfeed him.. Foodie from belle.
We were discharged in d morning.

So grateful to God Almighty for answering my prayers and granting my request upon my team members for a super safe delivery for us all.
Thanks to all mamas on this forum who in one way or the other made our pregnancy journey look so easy and beautiful with their words and prayers.. God bless us all. To our precious little ones you all will grow to make mummy and daddy proud..amen.

I was laughing and crying at d same time while reading ur bs... God is faithful ooo.

Immediately I clocked 36 weeks I was ready to give birth.I just wanted to be done with pregnancy.Was walking long distances,ate pineapples did everything and nothing changed.At 39 weeks and some days I started having ideas of a lot of things I can do with my preggy tommy before giving birth.All of a sudden I changed from baby come fast oo to baby wait for me.
Fast forward to my appointment on Monday 23rd of November at 39+6.I thought I was going to have the normal less than five minutes talk with the doctor and he’ll tell me to come back next week.
The nurse checked my bp and it was 130/90.In my mind normal thing since I’m close to birthing.
When I saw the doctor he looked at my past bp and saw a gradual increase from 110/60 to 130/90.He checked himself and it was fluctuating between 130 and 140. He told me straight up that I’ll have to be induced on Wednesday.I wanted to joke around and I told him that he’ll induce me on Saturday that I don’t want Wednesday.He went to consult his oga and another Doctor and they all agreed to to induce me as soon as possible since I’m full term and they have diagnosed hypertension in pregnancy.
He told me I’ll be admitted immediately for observation that’s when everything became clear to me.
Admitted ke, I’ve not packed hospital bag,I’ve not done everything I planned to do.Called dh and mum and they said I should just obey the doctor I just signed that I’ll come back in the evening and I left.
The next day on Tuesday morning I was admitted, they came to talk to me about their induction process and did all the necessary tests and ctg and told me induction will start in the evening.
By 7 pm I was taken to the delivery suite to insert the foleys catheter.That was the first time somebody will put hand inside my jajaina to do anything. I cried and cried and cried it was so uncomfortable and painful.The doctor didn’t find my cervix early enough kept poking and poking, he said my cervix was posterior.He finally found it, inserted the catheter and told me till the next day and I should tell them if it drops.
When I got to my bed, I started having waist pain and in my mind it was just a mild effect of the procedure they just did. The waist pain changed to tommy pain and it was going and coming that’s when I knew I was having contractions.I downloaded contraction timer app and was timing it.It became annoying because the contractions were so short and it came like irregular times apart so I just stopped timing it and tried to sleep.
I couldn’t sleep throughout the night as I was having contractions.
7am on Wednesday morning I was taken back to the delivery suite.The catheter didn’t drop so I was worried my cervix didn’t dilate with all the contractions cos one nurse said if the catheter drops that means I’m just 2cm and mine didn’t drop but the doctor and nurse checked and said I was 6cm dilated, they didn’t expect it, they didn’t even know i was already having contractions cos I wasn’t showing I was in pain.
The doctor came, broke my water and she administered the first dose of oxytocin.Those two things started another wave of contractions.The pain just went from one to ten in no time.Haaa I started seeing stars. I was in so much pain I couldn’t even cry or shout.I wanted to remove the ctg strap attached to my belly, I pinched one nurse that wanted to use fetoscope to measure heartbeat,I didn’t allow anybody to touch me ,I was using my power bank to hit the metal of the bed, one nurse said if I continue like that I was going to spoil the bed.
Any nurse and Doctor that came in were surprised I was 6cm gone with contractions and I was not screaming.
Another dose of oxytocin was added by some minutes to ten and the pain became very intense I told the doctor I wanted to vomit, I don’t know what he was thinking or why he was slow but before he could do anything, I blessed the whole floor for them that was when he went to call the nurses.I kept having bouts of vomiting till there was nothing to vomit but it still kept coming.
I asked the nurse to examine me and she said I’m not due for another examination till 11:30 since they’ve broken my water to prevent infection. I just told her to check me like that, she was so eager like she was just waiting for me to consent cos she thought I would have progressed a lot.With the pains and the frequent contractions we all thought I have progressed oo but noo i was still 6cm by around 10am. I could see the look of worry on the nurses face.Then this my favorite nurse kept telling me it’s like that some times.That in no time I can just progress to 10cm that I shouldn’t even bother.She told me I was going to deliver there and she said she doesn’t even want me to have any tear or anything.
By this time my mum was in the room, the nurses told her to help me rub my waist,anytime the contractions hit like this I’ll hold her wrist very tight she had to ask if I wanted to break it infact at a point she had to leave me cos I could actually break it.I kept shouting at her to call dh that I wanted to speak to him.Thank God she didn’t call him sha if not I would have transferred aggression ehn.
By few minutes to 11am I started feeling the urge to poo, the nurses said I should poo on the bed that they’ll pack it, it’s their job.Then the nurse checked me again and said I was 7 cm,every body was already smiling except me sha. By now the pain was so much I just had to let it out and I started shouting, which sound did I not make.My mom has a video of me mooing like a cow, I kept saying God please, I’m sure God would have been wondering why I was begging him.One yeye doctor came and said the nurse should administer pcm.Thank God for the nurse that was there,she told me pcm was going to slow the whole process down and I should refuse if I want to give birth in time.She hid it in her pocket and told the doctor that she has administered it.The next thing I started feeling the urge to push told them and the nurses kept shouting don’t push,don’t push, everyone was begging me not to push.I wasn’t even pushing oo.The baby was pushing me badly and I was trying my best but I couldn’t help myself from pushing.The nurse told me to raise my leg and she saw blood, by now she was begging me not to push as blood before baby is not good.
She brought one drug from her pocket and added it directly to the drip line,that drug was magic cos in less than five minutes talk changed from don’t push to push at the next contraction with all your strength.
The first push, everyone was like you’re just shouting, you’re not pushing, the second push, the nurse was like you’re too tight I’m going to give you a small cut, i just felt a sharp cut and with the third push, I pushed with all my mind and strength like I was bringing out the biggest poo ever.And my 3.38kg princess came forth by 11:20 and she was put on top of me. The nurses took her up and asked me see what did you born before taking her away to clean(don’t know why they did that lol) The relief that came with pushing was just marvelous.I was given cytotec anal or vaginal route can’t remember and I started shivering but they said it’s normal. They injected lidocaine and stitched the cut side up.My antenatal Doctor came in by 11:30 for the second assessment and found out that I’ve born already,he was so surprised and said he just told the consultant that he was coming to check me and me I’ve given birth.
I was happy it was finally over till the nurse asked me to get up and pee in the toilet without sitting on the toilet seat.I tried to pee but instead of pee to come out it was blood that came rushing like tap and splashed everywhere.I was becoming worried but the nurse said it’s normal and it would stop and she kept asking if I was dizzy.She fed me and I was wheeled to the ward.
In the ward,my mum noticed the two pad I just wore were stained with blood already and she shouted to the nurse that took the delivery.She told me to lie down and open my leg and she wore gloves, before I could say jack, she already dug into my vjay, straight into my uterus to evacuate what ever was causing the bleeding.When she did that I think I died for a second before screaming the whole ward down.She did it again and said I have to be wheeled back to the delivery suite.There was so much blood and clots.
Back to the delivery suite now,she said the stitch site has loosened that the doctor didn’t do it well and since I was still bleeding she has to do the hand evacuation thing again.Dh was there encouraging me all I just wanted to do was to faint so I won’t feel the pain.She did it twice again.Loosened the former stitch,checked my cervix there was no tear so we didn’t even know the cause of the bleeding but they said it’s because my uterus didn’t contract back fast enough and blood has already clotted there.By the time she was done with cleaning,there was so much blood.She had to kee asking if I was dizzy but I wasn’t.She injected lidocaine and I was stitched again.She promised me that her stitching is very perfect and I won’t have problem .She asked me to pee on the bed and I kept peeing and the blood was reducing.By evening the bleeding now became normal.
I really went through a lot post delivery.I just want to thank God for preserving my life and thank God for my mum for insisting the bleeding was not normal.Thank God for the nurse that took the delivery for her fast actions.Thank God for leading me to this group cos I learnt a lot of things that helped me throughout pregnancy.This group is the real antenatal class(lol).Thank God for team November.Thanks for all the congratulatory messages,I hope it’s not too late to reply one by one.May God grant all waddling mamas safe and sweet delivery.
