Good morning house. My family’s F2 visa interview comes up this month. They will be going to the embassy with a US bank statement of account. I would like to ask if this statement also needs to be stamped because the sponsor only intends downloading the PDF online and sending to me. Thanks in anticipation of your responses. |
UmmZayd:Thank you. Yeah, F2 applicant also has a SEVIS Number, and that's exactly what is getting me confused if the SEVIS Number required in this case should be that of the F2 or the F1 holder.
|
To the F2 applicants in the house and others who have an idea about this. Kindly guide me on whose details needs to be here. That of the F1 holder or the F2 applicant? Thank you.

ejosh4:Thank you brother. IC Markets isn't available for US clients and OANDA is for legal residents. I am just a student here. I never attain that "legal" status. I might just consider the Eaglefx as posted above by Neroiam. I appreciate. |
Neroiam:Okay. But you are able to sign in from US without issues? |
Hello guys, Please, are there people trading from USA here? Or perhaps any one here who knows any Nigerian trading Forex from the US. I would love to know the Broker they use. HotForex now restricts me from signing into their website due to location issues. I would appreciate your recommendations. Thank you. |
alphaNomega:That's sad! It just means I'm stuck. I was thinking since it is for the purpose of cash out, I shouldn't have an issue. Thank you. |
Hi guys, Please I need your clarification on this. I have a GTB account with a different third name from what I have on my ID. Say, my ID has OBASANJO Buhari Chukwudi while my account has OBASANJO Buhari Ogbonna. Would there be an issue using these ID and account number together for the purpose of FOREX? Thank you. |
Thank you all for the congratulatory messages. We pray for more approvals. |
Time2win:This is strange. I suspect it's that V.O. on Window 6. Not sure she was in a good mood. Let the fellow re-fire please. |
Visa Interview @Abuja Embassy today, May 21. My appointment was for 7:30am and I got there few minutes before this time. First was the warm welcome received from the "staple-your-documents guys" who almost did not allow the cab I boarded to park before opening the car door. "Bros, there's a special order of arrangement required for your documents, else they will send you back" others too were saying different things...I just said OK while I walked away. On getting in, I was amazed at the number of people already there...Pastors with collars, Revd Fathers in their robes, VIO in uniform, grandpas and grandmas, people wearing all manners of job ID cards. I joined the queue, had some documents checked, proceeded for biometrics and all the other kind of checks. All these took time, but was very orderly. Finally, we got in and joined the interview queue. While waiting, I was watching what was going on in windows 6, 7, 8 and 9 where interviews were conducted. While the VOs in the other windows took their time to hear what people had to say, before either granting or denying them, the lady in window 6 hardly spent 2minutes before issuing blue paper to people...she was just dishing it out in less than 2 minutes. I prayed not to be interviewed by her. As usual, in less than two minutes, she handed the woman in my front a blue paper and called for the next which happened to be me (perhaps, I prayed amiss). In my mind, I just said, "Holy Spirit, take control". Me: Good morning ma VO: Good morning (while she stretched her hand for my passport and I-20). She stared at my I-20 for about 5 seconds VO: Why are you going to the US? Me: I'm going for my Doctorate degree in Chemistry at Florida International University. VO: How did you know about the school? Me: I made a search online about my research interest and the research of Dr. X of Florida International University appealed to me the most...(I still had more to say but she interrupted with the next question) VO: Where did you have your previous degrees? Me: University of Ilorin. VO: So what will this degree do for you? Me: Currently, I am a Lecturer in XYZ University and bagging this....(again, she interrupted with the next question) VO: Are you married? Me: Yeah, with a kid. VO: Will your wife be joining you? Me: She currently works here, so for now, I'll be going alone. VO: Typed for a while and said "I have approved your visa." Me: Thank you (with an American smile) She then handed me the small congratulatory white paper and the one for the pick up locations. It's true you hardly hear the other things said after approval...I just knew she mentioned something like I-20. Others? I no hear am o. Appreciation. I might not have personally interacted with everyone on this platform but I have either directly or indirectly benefitted from the materials and information you shared here. They have really been of help. I am sincerely grateful and just want to use this opportunity to say a big "Thank You". To God alone be all the glory! |
obojememe:Yes, there are no tracking numbers for standard mail, hence you just have to wait and keep checking the address you mentioned it should be sent to. I really would not advise anyone to request for I-20 using the standard mail, as it is a 50:50 thing. You may be lucky to receive it and even early enough or never get it. When my I-20 was to be sent in January, my school gave me two options - standard mail or eshipglobal. Since I had enough time, I opted for standard mail delivery option just to avoid the cost of using eshipglobal. My school sent my I-20 on January 31, 2019. It would interest you to know that as I type this comment, I am yet to receive that I-20. What I avoided in the first case was what I eventually did - having to pay. After waiting till March ending, I reached out to my school to resend another I-20, this time through eshipglobal which I paid for. I got the new one just the following week it was sent. So, I'll never advise anyone to use the standard mail. You may or may never get it. |
Brown2Green:Soon! Yet to appear for interview... Just trying to plan ahead. |
Hi guys. Please, who has an idea of the cheapest route to Miami in Florida from Nigeria? Direct flight seem a bit high. |
Time2win:This easy? Thanks. Let me try it out. |
Hello guys. Please, I am trying to make payment on the UEMS website for the shipping of my I-20, but got stuck on the payment. It reads that the "credit/debit card" option isn't available for my country leaving me with two other options: "Pay by Cash (wire transfer)" and "PayPal." "Pay by cash" requires someone in the US making a cash deposit on my behalf into an American Bank. However, I have no much knowledge about the PayPal mode of payment. Please enlighten me on this, perhaps it an easier mode of payment. TIA. |
temidayodamoye:There is no center in Ibadan bro. Lagos is the closest center to the guy from Osun. |
Daringtohope:Oh yes, it is useful to us. Thanks for sharing and congratulations to your family. It isn't easy staying apart. I pray for such favour for my family when the time comes. I'm happy for this family. |
homirefacuny:This is a nice transcript. What could be the cause of his denial? I mean, he even got a GTA. |
Good day guys. Please do you think Dec 6, would be appropriate for GRE retake? By my calculation, the official score would be ready by 15th December (10 days after the test). And this same 15th is the deadline of some of the schools I want to apply to. Do you think it's advisable to consider 6th December for a retake? |

Hi guys. Please I've been trying to come up with some lists of US schools with good ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY programs but been finding it difficult. Can you please help with the list of some of these schools. Thanks. |
Mayorsmart005:Please house, I'm waiting for your response on this. |
Please who knows the salary range for a teacher in Pacific Schools (Akure). I got a message for a test on Monday. Want to know if the journey is worth it. |
Hi guys. Any news of admission offer yet? |
frankie2K:No bro. I'm still awaiting the result of my application. Thanks. |
frankie2K:How about if one gets an admission for a course that is tuition free and is also offered a monthly stipend that sums up to be €6720 yearly. Would one still need to present a statement of account at the embassy during the application for resident permit? |
UEF applicants, how has it been with the sending of transcripts. NASU wan spoil show for me with their strike but God pass them. |
Please guys, does it mean my application is complete after filling all the information shown on the left column? I couldn't find where to finally appy or submit after entering all the required details. |
Seems we all have this in common. I just sometimes wonder why all academic applications are not online. Making 10 - 20 copies of applications pisses me of whenever I see such advert. Please who has an idea of when the academic session would begin? |
