Agreed. Budget=allocated figure to spend. That's semantics or grammar. Now lets get to the main issue. Show me how the budget figures that were posted by Eko ole translate into money for development? |

Bandit C.: Dont mind the guy. Yoruba people always like to over-emphasize their value. They think the sun rise and set in the SW only. |

Walala: Like someone said people just sit in Lagos and say nonsense about what they dont know. Have you been to Enugu or any urban Igbo city to hear what modern Igbo music sounds like? I was even discussing with a friend about how I think Igbo language being the best naija lingo for rap music. I just didn't want to start a thread about it here, not to appear sectarian. Try to listen to 'Turu ugo' by Mr Raw Nwanne ft Minista Busta, Ransom & Phyno. www.notjustok.com/2011/10/06/video-premiere-mr-raw-nwanne-turu-ugo-ft-minista-busta-ransom-phyno/ I hope the download link works or lay your hands on Mr raw's album and tell me what you think of Igbo music. You may not find the catch phrase 'poromkomto' cool, like myself, but I seen other who like it. But then it's just a coinage of Flavour Nabania. It's not an Igbo word. |

Eko Ile: You're just quoting silly budget figures. Do you even know the meaning of a budget? Budget=Expenditure Now the question is, How much of that expenditure goes into recurrent expenses and what is directed to infrastructural projects? The governors of Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states have said their states are in critical condition, but you a clueless internet soldier knows more than them. Anyway, you're just troll. Why am I surprised? |
Politics / Re: Why Did Awo Lose The 1979 Election? by mbatuku1: 2:04pm On Oct 14, 2011 |
Eko Ile: ^^^ Hahaha. It's not a surprise. Yaribu people are highly hypocritical in nature. So it's not rocket science that ACN is filled to the brim with a bunch of hypocrites. They are only trying to look good in the eyes of people. I just pity the gullible Yorubas who are believing them. It's the infrastructures in their states that will suffer their attempt to rob shoulder with the jonses'. This is the true situation of things, Other states listed to be in critical www.thisdaylive.com/articles/new-wage-16-states-risk-bankruptcy-says-report/100182/ How many SE states did you see there that is in critical condition? |

kholis: Like I said only a few are outright efulefus. People just like raising unnecessary dust and over-emphasizing issues. The bulk of Igbo people dwell in Igboland and speak their language good, but the few 'lost' souls are catching all the attention. |

afam4eva: Even at that only a few are outright efulefu. A good number can speak Igbo though not impeccable enough. Children learn a language first from their parents and then perfect it by interacting with it in the environment. That perfection achieved by practicing the language with the larger society is what is missing in some of the 'Lagos bred' kids. |
Politics / Re: Why The North And West Hate Igbos So Much? by mbatuku1: 9:36am On Oct 14, 2011 |
Okija_juju: I'm glad you finally admitted that you do not know what you are talking. You see the reason why you need to STFU on this matter? You have no clue of what Igbos want or the challenges they face as a people, and yet you are making opinionated statements. Like I said in the first page to the OP, this thread was unnecessary, because I knew it would attract your likes. The OP does not speak for Igbos and he is entitled to his own opinions. |
Culture / Re: Is The Igbo Language Dying? by mbatuku1: 9:05am On Oct 14, 2011 |
Why are all the silly yaribu people on this thread? How does it concern an 'ofenmanu' whether Igbo is dying or not? @post The answer to your question is that you have to consider that this only happens among Igbos living outside Igboland. It's hard for kids to speak a language fluently if they were not raised where the language is indigenous. It's a problem but I think it's way too exaggerated. Igbo is more than alive in Igboland, and the kids there will school you! (just as yoruba is alive in yorubaland and hausa in hausaland). It's not peculiar to Igbos alone. I've seen some yoruba and hausa kids who struggle with their native tongue. Why? They were raised in territories where their native languages are not the daily medium of communication. |

^^^ It's funny how Yoruba people live in denials. The SS/SE are fast developing with very financially buoyant states. 3 of out SW states are in very serious financial stress, with barely enough funds to pay salaries, talkless of having anything for development. Yet, you are abusing others of not being developed. Have you even left Yoruba land to visit other regions before you start screaming about development? Continue waiting for Awo to wake up from the dead to help you. Retarded hypocrite! |

He practiced the same politics his 'descendants' in the SW are playing today. Boxing themselves into tight corners, not seeing the bigger picture, etc. Like some said above, he had no reputation elsewhere besides the West. He was a loner/ lonely loser in the nigerian political spectrum. |

I think it's just the same problem both parties have. Just few words/phrases that need further explaining because they are unique to individual dialects. Moreover, some dialects share close to 90% similar words/phrases with others. Just the intonations of the speakers that distinct them. |
