The young Muslim men from the Washington, D.C., area were arrested in early December in the eastern Pakistani city of Sargodha in a case that has spurred fears that Westerners are traveling to Pakistan to join militant groups. Pakistani police have said they plan to seek life sentences for the men under the country's anti-terrorism law. "They told the court that they did not have any plan to carry out any terrorist act inside or outside Pakistan," said Rokri. "They said that they only intended to travel to Afghanistan to help their Muslim brothers who are in trouble, who are bleeding and who are being victimized by Western forces." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100104/ap_on_re_as/as_pakistan_us_arrests

there are some truth that cant be hidden 4 too long. his present cabinet will go down the history of nigeria as the set of leaders that destroyed this country. idonkia, dora akunyili, david mark, dimeji or dimeta bankole u name them. they should be ashamed of themselves. |
They should have done this earlier than now, |
God has left Nigeria, |
Now we know that this country is a lawless one. Both the lawmakers and the judiciary are corrupt to the bone. were they sincere in their duties, all these rubbish should not have been happening. |
edoyad:WELL SAID If you go to France they speak french go to Germany they speak German go to Spain they speak spanish. Nigeria is going to divide along the major tribes in the country. All these south Nigeria shit won't work, else the old Nigeria will repeat itself again |
Wily*Wily:Agreed,The quest to hold on to power, greed and looting mentality is finally grinding Nigeria to a halt. Everybody is his own government now in Nigeria. |
Every religion has committed their own version of terrorism and atrocities in the time past. I name them. Jihad by the moslem characterized by conversion by force through killing and beheading of infidels Crusade by the christians where they kill people in the name of winning souls for christ. Aztec Human sacrifice to their sun god, where they remove the heart of a living person to sacrifice to their god African Human Sacrifice, where people are being sacrificed to gods or used in royal burial still practiced today in Nigeria in secrecy. The only problem I have with any religion resorting to the above means today is that they seem not to know that you can use a more subtle approach to achieving your aim instead of killing your fellow humans. This is 21st century. |
Nigerians are being taken for granted really too much for too long. Nothing stops them from signing the budget or anything that will put money in their pocket. But to do the right thing to give us a president, they'll be beating about the bush. It is looting galore going on now in Yar adua government. |
thats the problem! At times, you don't know who to trust in this country some people may just be making noise either to attract attention or for their personal interests. But how can a whole president be missing like a needle in a hay sack? |
At least, Nigerians are waking up from their siddon look attitude. The drama begins |
One hundred legal practitioners under the auspices of Lawyers of Consciences have given President Umaru Yar’Adua till January 31, 2010 to resign or be removed by the National Assembly, failing which the group will be left with no alternative than to mobilize their learned colleagues and the Nigerian electorate to “take their destiny into their hands by any legitimate means possible.” Source:http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=163245 |
News service or not, the recognition is what matters. I personally come to Nairaland to know what is happening in Nigeria. I know you player hatters can't contain the worldwide publicity seun is gaining. when he started in 2005, you guys thought he's joking. This is just the begining |
This is the game plan The man will not be available till the end of his tenure, after which he will be officially declared dead.By then all lootable loots might have been looted from the nation's treasury by his cabinet. Then another northerner will be handpicked to be Nigeria president. SIDON LOOK NA DOG NAME, THAT DOG na NIGERIA! |
The national assembly actually consented to the president request to appoint the Tiv (Benue State) Judge, you can check out the proceedings from this source http://www.placng.org/svpdec16.pdf |
the al-kaida has been in the north since the return of democracy in 1999. they are the one causing all the religious riot and the imposing of sharia law in the Northern states. the northern elites knows these, and that will be the last thing they will admit. |
Well said Viaro! Everything created by God is perfect, any corruption in the system is man made due to selfish reasons and interest. It's up to us to choose what to believe. |
Could there be a different between God and Religion? Because God is good and yet, religion do bad some bad things in the name of God. |
Technology--------------------Foreign Food------------------------------Foreign Education------------------------Foreign Entertainment-------------------Foreign Language-------------------------Foreign Religion-----------------------------Foreign AFRICA GAVE NOTHING TO THE WORLD, AS IF THAT IS NOT ENOUGH, THEY DON'T VALUE WHAT WAS PASSED ON TO THEM BY THEIR ANCESTORS. NO WONDER ASIA IS MORE DEVELOPED THAN AFRICA. |
1. Airport security arrest him 2. hand him over to the police 3. Police recognizes him as son of the untouchables 4.Police contacts the father for settlement 5.Police turns the case on another innocent detainee 6.Police releases the terrorist off the hook. THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS IN NIGERIA EVERYDAY NEMESIS took him to US |

There are no perfect men anywhere in the world! we only have men with perfect intentions. Peter never believed he will betray Jesus. Being faithful needs a lot of discipline in the face of temptation not just typing "am faithful to my partner" on NL thread. Most of you are even lying, |
rasputinn:They are many side to unfaithfulness. If u cheat on your partner and admits it, are you being faithful or unfaithful? |
Being faithful to your partner is not just about sex alone. What of emotional unfaithfulness? Financial unfaithfulness? Responsibility unfaithfulness? |
At times i suspect that the ATM fraud are being perpetrated through the connivance of the bankers, cos if that's not the case, why do banks always go on the defensive on events of loss of money by customers instead of assisting in routing out the alleged criminals? Am just suspecting oh! ![]() |
Olong:I don't agree with you, at least, the banks will now learn to be more careful with people's fund after the court session. Even though those guys claims were not granted, they've proved a point by dragging the banks to court. |
