At least Nigerians are learning to complain against bad customer services instead of keeping mum. The way some of these banks carry out there transactions makes them feel as if they're doing one a favour. If all Nigerians should be suing them to court, every now and then, I think they'll be more careful. |
Facebook's new changes are obviously intended to get people to open up even more of their Facebook data to the public," EFF lawyer Kevin Bankston said in a blog post. "The Facebook privacy transition tool is clearly designed to push users to share much more of their Facebook info with everyone, a worrisome development that will likely cause a major shift in privacy level for most of Facebook's users, whether intentionally or inadvertently." Prior to the change, Facebook users could keep everything but their names and networks private. A newly created "public" category at Facebook now includes names, profile pictures, home cities, pages users have joined as "fans," gender and friend lists. "There is a whole lot more information that users have no ability to keep private," Ozer noted. Software that walks people through modifying privacy settings recommends making more personal information public and doesn't allow stricter settings than were previously in place, according to the ACLU. "If users aren't careful, the transition tool will transition them to less privacy," Ozer said. The privacy change doesn't address the ability of third-party applications installed in Facebook profiles to mine data from the social network, according to the ACLU. "Facebook's system now is if I am friends with you, I am friends with all the stupid apps you run too," Ozer said. "Even if your friend takes a quiz, they could be giving away your personal information." Source: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20091211/tc_afp/usitcompanyprivacyinternetfacebook_20091211033403 |
The only Language Nigerians understand is go to school, get a job,get married and manufacture children if or if you don't have the means to carter for them (God will provide) It is a crime not to be married in Nigeria not to talk of not having children. So every woman wants to be married and have children, they simple don't care how. Thats the reason why. Once a lady is above 30yrs, she becomes desperate and apprehensive with respect to marital issues. It's only few Nigerians ladies that have other life goals apart from Marriage. The rest, after school job or no job they want a man. After 40 yrs, any available male =husband. |
I thought Shiloh is somewhere in Isreal or so, when did it come to Nigeria?? |

An epic movie about Islam's Prophet Muhammad is in the pipeline, backed by a producer of the Lord of the Rings. American Barrie Osborne, who also produced The Matrix, told Reuters the film would be an "international epic" aimed at "bridging cultures". In accordance with Islamic rules, the Prophet cannot be depicted on screen. Images of the Prophet are considered blasphemous by Muslims. The $150m (£91m) English language film should go into production in 2011. 2010 talks Qatari media company Alnoor Holdings, which is behind the plans, said it wanted to attract the "best international talent" for the film. "The film will educate people about the true meaning of Islam," Osborne said. Raja Sharif, vice president of international projects at Alnoor, told Reuters he expected to conclude deals next year. toba:The alert was made by 18 senators from these states and the issues were well deliberated on. If the theory that another solution can be found on it as promulgated by Kengali, then, that will save a lot of lives and funds from the government.(that is if he can prove it beyond reasonable doubts), then an audience with the senate committee on Environment will be sought for him. The chairman of the Senate committee on Environment is Senator Grace Bent and the Deputy Chairman is Annie Okonkwo the National Assembly are very concerned about this issue |
This same place has emitted carbon dioxide sometimes ago killing lots of people. The Federal Government announced that they'll release 26billion for to construct a dam to buffer the effect, but yet nothing has been released so far. The people concerned are still moping going about their so called business till the day the flood will sweep them away. I pity Nigerians, even when their lives are at stake, they take action. |
The states of Taraba, Adamawa, Kogi, Benue, Cross Rivers, Nassarawa, Plateau and Enugu are on the danger list of been wiped out in less than 5 years when the Dam of Lake Nyos will likely collapse. In the event of the collapse of the dam, over 5 million cubic litters of water will be released, leading to flooding which will affect about 40 million Nigerians and animals. it will submerge some areas in states such as Taraba, Benue, Cross River, Kogi and Enugu States etc. Some parts of Makurdi town will submerge forever. The lake contains carbon dioxide which will suffocate people from the Cameroun up to Adamawa The issue came up at the Senate last week, The Government is still toying with their options on the issue. http://www.oncameroon.com/rim/en/scfull?a=Lake-Nyos-is-a-disaster-foretold&story_id=993&cat=inside_cameroon http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/guest-articles/mitigating-lake-nyos-flood-threat-nemas-rejoinder-to-nvs-writers.html |

@ becomrich. Thanks for your contributions. U seem to be the only one showing interest in this constitution review stuff. As per the quota system you're concerned about, the other syndicate group is listed below with their report. REPORT OF SYNDICATE GROUP 2 ON THE REPORT OF THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE HELD ON THE 9TH OF OCTOBER 2009 In attendance during the discussions are the following distinguished Senators and Speakers of State Houses of Assembly SENATOR NICHOLAS UGBANE--- CHAIRMAN SENATOR AYO ARISE SENATOR TAWAR WADA SENATOR OLORUNNIMBE MAMORA SENATOR AHMAD LAWAN SENATOR LEKAN MUSTAPHA SENATOR SOLA AKINYEDE HON. TSESIM AYARGUER BARR UCHENNA ORJI RT. HON.BABATUNDE MOH'D The following were the resolutions and recommendations: 1) The syndicate adopts the holding of elections 6 months before expiration of current tenures. 2) Agrees that election petitions be disposed of within four (4) months of holding of the election. 3) That appeal from petitions be disposed of by the appellate courts within two (2) months of the pronouncement of the tribunal/court of first instance. 5) Rejects the shifting of the burden of proof to Independent National Electoral Commission but rather recommends that the burden of proof rests on the petitioner since it is trite law that he who alleges must prove. 6) Rejects denial of Independent National Electoral Commission the right to appeal where the election petitioner succeeds before the election petition tribunal. In other words Independent National Electoral Commission should have right to appeal if it so wishes. 7) Rejects balance of probability as the evidential standard of proof. Status quo should be maintained, ie proof beyond reasonable doubt, especially where allegations of fraud have been made. Accepts that rules of procedure applicable to election petitions be simplified, to avoid technicalities in order to provide for quick dispositions of election petitions. 9) Accepts reduction of members of election tribunals from 5 to 3 so as to create additional panels which in turn will facilitate speedy trials by the tribunals. 9) Accepts the proposed appointment procedure involving the national judicial council, National Council of states and the senate. 10) Rejects the issue of gender under the proposed provision for the appointment of deputy chairman. 11) Rejects having one nominee of civil society organization working in the area of elections and accredited by the proposed political parties registration and regulatory commission. 12) Rejects the idea of proportional representation in it's entirety, but rather recommends that status quo be maintained. 13) Accepts two-third majority of members of the Senate in respect of removal of Chairman and Members of INEC and rejects inclusion of 10 Senators from the opposition party in the removal process.
