A friend that works with one of these new generation banks told me about a job that was advertized internally in the bank, with Third Class as the only requirement. I have been wondering why they should make the job opening for only Third class graduates. I decided to bring it to Nairaland for proper deliberation. What do you think? |

A ritualists’ den where human beings, after abduction, were allegedly used for rituals, has been discovered in Ondo State The den, located at a remote village in Ago Oyinbo Community in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state, was said to have been detected following the report from the residents of the community to the Nigeria Police Force,Ondo State command. LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that the suspected ritualists, who are said to have been arrested by men of the Igbotako Division of the Ondo State Police Command, had been using the village for their devilish activities for the past three years. It was alleged that ritualists, after kidnapping their victims, reportedly brought them to the shrine and slaughtered them for ritual purposes. Investigation also revealed that the youths of the community were said to have reported the situation to the police who later stormed the village and arrested five people in connection with the crime. It was also gathered that the youths had since demolished the shrines last Monday. When LEADERSHIP visited the scene of the crime, the mud building allegedly used for the shrine was seen demolished while some of the fetish items found there had been burnt. Cow horns, different types of cloths reportedly belonging to some of the victims of the alleged kidnappers, palm fronds, bottles of gin, calabashes, ‘Ghana must go’ bags among others were sighted at the shrine. Confirming the development, the Baale of the Ago Oyinbo, Chief Moyebi Okeowo told LEDERSHIP that the shrine started in 2012 when the suspects came to him to beg for a space in the village which they wanted to use for a location to shoot a movie. http://leadership.ng/news/439296/discovered-ritualists-den-found-in-ondo |
By Daji Sani in Yola The immediate past Governor of Adamawa state ,Barrister Bala James Ngilari, has refuted the allegations that he was declared wanted by the Economic Financial Crime Commission, EFCC. Ngilari, who refuted the allegations on Sunday night on his return to Yola from Dubai where he underwent medical check- up, said the allegation was a cheap blackmail perpetrated by persons who are out to destroy his reputation. The former governor said he does not have any issues with the EFCC and cannot be moved by such unwarranted allegations. "As far I am concerned, I did not receive any invitation from EFCC as alleged, in fact I don't have any case before the commission," Ngillari declared. He explained that he was absent at the inauguration of the new governor , Senator Muhammad Jibrilla Bindow, because he travelled abroad for medical check-up contrary to what is being speculated by his political enemies. "Mr. Boni Haruna ,the then governor of Adamawa state, was absent during our inauguration in 2007 and it was his deputy, Bello Tukur that handed over to Governor Murtala Nyako while I was his deputy. "So , contrary to what is being speculated, I did not run away , I went for medical check-up and I delegated my deputy to do the handing over on my behalf while I was away," he said. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/i-have-no-case-with-efcc-says-ngilari/211454/

By CHIKA OTUCHIKERE A Nigerian former British police officer and security and governance consultant, Mr Vince Onyekwelu has warned that unless the governments of Nigeria and Niger Republic act immediately, the dreaded Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS terrorists may be on their way into both countries. Onyekwelu gave the warning yesterday during a live television programme, Sunrise Daily on Channels television where he said that with the capture of the Libyan international airport. According to him, with the proximity between the borders of Niger, Chad and Libya Nigeria must intensify collaboration with both countries to ensure that the ISIS terrorists so not sneak into the country. Asked whether Nigerians should be worried that that the ISIS has taken over the Libyan airport responded in the affirmative saying the development should give enough room for concern. “Yes, we should be worried because if you look at the distance between Libya and Nigeria the demarcation between Chad and Niger Republic. Now the question is what the Nigerian government is doing to make sure that Niger and Chad are doing enough to protect their border between them and Libya. “We don’t need to worry much about this but we need to get the immigration agencies of these countries to collaborate and make sure that the borders is well secured because if these criminals into Niger Republic or Chad they are going to be heading into Nigeria so we need to make sure that in this joint task force that we are talking about how do we protect the borders of Chad and Libya, how do we protect the border between Niger Republic and Libya. So we need to protect our own but the bottom line is we should be worried because it seriously worrying,” he said. http://leadership.ng/news/439257/isis-will-enter-nigeria-chad-unless
