Acmetek:
Hi All,
I stumbled on this thread while searching for something different.
I am a Service Engineer for Konica Minolta Sole distributor in Nigeria, I once worked with Xerox Sole distributor too before joining KM. I have over 12 years of experience.
I will like to contribute thus;
Getting a DI machine is needs demand Tact's, if you are getting a USED DI machine the best place to go is Ijesha in Surulere Lagos, that's the headquarters of Fairly used machines and you get it at a competitive rate. You don't need an expert to get it for you as it will be tested before you make payment, all brands are available there.
But, if you really want peace of mind and better ROI get a brand new one. With 1.5M you can get the latest KM Bizhub C258 for a start-up.
If you really want to dictate the pace in your area, the way to go is Bizhub C1070 the cost is around 10M and its really for those who want to get down to business.
Other attendant cost to bare in mind is, you must have a stable source of power such as generator 3.5 kva for Bizhub C258, others includes UPS, Good Earthing for the wiring system, Air condition, and open ventilated space for business.
The head office for KM is Skysat Technologies in Opebi, and for Xerox is XHS Matori.
Thanks.
thanks bro for this insightful contribution. I will call on you from time to time. God bless you.

Family / 5 Strategies For Dealing With Conflict by Mbkite(m): 1:02pm On Sep 21, 2016
5 Strategies for Dealing with Conflict

1) Compete or Fight
This is the classic win/lose situation, where the strength and power of one person wins the conflict.
It has its place, but anyone using it needs to be aware that it will create a loser and if that loser has no outlet for expressing their concerns, then it will lead to bad feeling.

2) Collaboration
This is the ideal outcome: a win/win situation.
However, it requires input of time from those involved to work through the difficulties, and find a way to solve the problem that is agreeable to all.

3) Compromise or Negotiation
This is likely to result in a better result than win/lose, but it’s not quite win/win.
Both parties give up something, in favour of an agreed mid-point solution. It takes less time than collaboration, but is likely to result in less commitment to the outcome.

4) Denial or Avoidance
This is where everyone pretends there is no problem.
It’s helpful if those in conflict need time to ‘cool down’ before any discussion or if the conflict is unimportant, but cannot be used if the conflict won’t just die down. It will create a lose/lose situation, since there will still be bad feeling, but no clearing the air through discussion, and results, in Transactional Analysis terms, in ‘I’m not OK, you’re not OK’.

5) Smoothing Over the Problem
On the surface, harmony is maintained, but underneath, there is still conflict.
It’s similar to the situation above, except that one person is probably OK with this smoothing, while the other remains in conflict, creating a win/lose situation again. It can work where preserving a relationship is more important than dealing with the conflict right now, but is not useful if others feel the need to deal with the situation.

Family / 10 Ideas For Helping Your Community by Mbkite(m): 10:11am On Sep 21, 2016
Volunteer your time and effort with one or more of these community service ideas.

1. Reach out to a neighbor in need. Every neighborhood has people or families in need, from elderly or handicapped shut-ins to struggling single-parent households.

2. Perform an act of random kindness. Buy healthy snacks for your office or the teachers at your child's school. Pay the tolls for several people behind you. Give an umbrella to someone stuck in the pouring rain. Learn more ideas here:
Random Acts of Kindness Foundation

3. Mentor children at your local school. library, or neighborhood center. All organizations that deal with children need adults of any age to work with the children in a variety of ways, from after-school tutoring to recreational and sports activities.

4. Serve at a local soup kitchen or food bank. There is no greater gift than helping feed those in your community who are down on their luck and would go hungry if not for the service provided to them.

5. Donate blood. You can help save the life of one or more people simply by giving a pint of your blood at your local blood bank or during bloodmobile visits to your community, school, or office. (And if you can't give blood, help organize a blood drive for those you can donate!)

6. Volunteer at the local animal shelter, rescue group, or humane society. The animals are part of our communities too, and many of these shelters and rescue organizations need much help to achieve their missions.

7. Visit a volunteering-related Website to find multiple opportunities to serve. One of the greatest benefits of the Internet is the amount of Websites that can help connect people with local organizations that desperately need help.

8. Pick up trash along the road, at a local park, or along the banks of a river, stream, or lake. Many times there are organized efforts to clean some of these locations, but there is nothing stopping any of us from picking up litter when we see it. And smokers? Put the butt in the trash, not on the ground.

9. Help build a home with Habitat for Humanity. Working with Habitat not only literally builds the community, but also helps welcome a needy family who would not have a home without the help from people in the community. No building skills are necessary to volunteer.

10. Contact your local United Way, Red Cross, or Salvation Army for discovering new service opportunities. These and other local aid organizations are clearinghouses for many opportunities to serve in your local community, making a difference in the lives of your neighbors.

We are no longer asking Buhari to develop Nigeria.
.
At this point, we are only asking him to return Nigeria to the state she was before he (Buhari) was sworn into office.
.
Return our dear Naira to 170 per Dollar
Return our bag of rice to #7000
Return our bankers to their jobs
Return the over 400 multinational companies that relocated out of this country back to Nigeria.
Return the thousands of Nigeria you made jobless back to their respective jobs.
Return our economy to the fastest growing economy in Africa
Return Dangote back to his position as the richest man in Afirca.
Return our only indigenous car manufacturing company INNOSON Motors back to production.
.
Forget about adding anything new, just do these and we will ask for no more.

Electrical engineering has the highest numbers of scholars in any institution and highest cutoff point for admission. In Uniben as a specimen Mechanical produce like 9 first class this year, would you now tell me that Mech engine is very simple. It is input that determines output. first class courses are for first class students. FUTA produce 8 first class in EEE this year, OAU produce like 12 first class, UNIBEN produce 10 first class.

Please read my post again. If you actually studied EE, can you give us the basics of Electrical Engineering. I don't mean Electronics/Telecommunication.

Yes the govt. need to enforce the ban on ogogoro and pami, so as to prevent this kind of ridiculous post on NL. EE, which is among the core disciplines of engineering is V=IR ?? *seriously SMH*.. The reason for its high number of first class graduates(according to you) might be because, its mostly serious and focused students who dare to venture into that path.

This OP funny sha grin
So because of the number of first class students they produce Op confess, who are you really jealous of?
The purpose of your post can only be traced to jealousy. You are neither a graduate of the department or an under graduate den base ur opinion on First class numbers?Besides, Uniben is not the only University in Nigeria. To base ur opinion on 1 University is ridiculous!

Ujoan:

Please don't ever settle for something you can't tolerate. Everyone has a line where they draw what they can and can't tolerate . . . for some your line may sound silly, to others it may be perfect. But what counts is that you draw the line!

A lot of men don't mind if they marry someone older, to them it's not that be a deal? What about you?

She can be a 9/10 but that 1 that she is not can be equivalent to 5 for you . . .

Same way some women can 'tolerate' if a man is not so rich, as far he's nice and caring . . . others don't can deal with a brash and rude guy, as far as he can pay the bills. If such a woman decided to 'settle' for a not so rich guy because he's 9/10 (and they say money is not everything angry angry ), she's bound to live her life in regrets, because him being unable to pay the bills will gradually overshadow his 'niceness' and all she's left with is bitterness and resentment. Then she realizes what she has always known, niceness is not as important as financial stability for her!

So please.

Smart! Thanx

MasterJayJay:

I was a member of the boys brigade in our church back in the days. I didn't not eat that morning and I came for the drills. Well, I don't really have a vivid memory of what happened before I saw myself being carried away and our pastor was praying for me.

The other one was in our house, there was a big amplifier that I mounted in our dining room, I connected to it my laptop so the audio could be audible enough. Then I mistakenly hit my arm on the it, afterwards I felt dizzy and didn't know when I landed on the floor.

The third one was when I went to lock our gate and I accidentally got one of my fingers jammed, the pain was so severe. I managed to lock the gate and hurriedly went upstairs, I felt dizzy then and as soon as made contact with the couch I passed out.

The last one was when I was sick. I barely had the appetite to eat that morning. I managed to put some food into my stomach, then I stood up to go get water from the fridge to drink. I passed out while trying to open the fridge. I later heard my mom screaming 'blood of Jesus!!!!' smiley she quickly ordered for the anointing oil in her room to be brought.

Those are my 'passing out' experiences.
They are all near death experiences. Thank God for your life.

noun: near-death experience; plural noun: near-death experiences

an unusual experience taking place on the brink of death and recounted by a person after recovery, typically an out-of-body experience or a vision of a tunnel of light.
