Please let @duchess90 and others give us full explanation they have experience. Concerning reactivating of CAC I made use of a lawyer. omoajiri: Hi chief, as a business owner myself, I want to confirm if the CAC must show active. I read somewhere that the CAC active status is compulsory if it's a visiting visa and not really for student visa but I'll be glad if this can be cleared. I'll also wish to know how/who you used to reactivate the CAC status. Thanks |

Cheers Thanks for the question. Since 2014 - 2015 NYSC I have been running my own company since 2015 got the business registered in 2016.... If I am not mistaken I have seen people who are self employed uploading saying they their company CAC cert in their application. This is why I am asking.... OR Is only CV sufficient? Finished my Bsc in 2013 About 9yrs study gap... Pls enlighten me |

I only found out that reasonable people had put in more explanation after I wrote the quote. The OP did not get how to ask her question. Most people even thought shes in the UK or gotten visa already. this is why i said "trouble" earlier.... Bourne007: After all the comprehensive explanation about genuinely securing a loan, how will this cause trouble for you |

May God bless you. Star19: As someone who benefited a lot from this platform, I’d like to state some things that might be useful for those applying now. 1. It is possible to do all your applications without using agents. Make this platform and google your friend, also try to read the thread from the beginning and ask questions. 2. Before making a choice on where to study, ask relevant questions. (Consider your budget, course, location, payment plan flexibility, job prospects etc). 3. Start your application on time to avoid last minute rush and constantly keep in touch with the school via emails and phone calls. If you send emails and don’t get a quick response, drop a voicemail on the phone number provided by the school. 4. Connect with the school on their official social media pages. This will help you send a DMs if they get too busy in respond to emails. Also connect with others that are applying to the same school to share ideas. 5. Try to secure your admission early and get your CAS so you can apply for your visa quickly. 6. If you have the funds, pay a large percentage of your tuition and don’t be so eager to jump at 1k and 2k deposits. Some students are getting stranded because of this. 7. If for any reason you can’t pay a large chunk of your tuition before traveling, have a concrete plan to come up with the remaining fees. These schools can frustrate you if you don’t pay up your fees. 8. Paying only 1k or 2k deposit out of 12-13k tuition with the hope of paying the remaining part when you get here is unrealistic & sometimes not very possible. Unless you have a sponsor, saved up enough money or going with your spouse that can work full time to support you, think twice about it. 9. While you’re planning to japa via school, remember to sharpen your mind for the actual school work. I’m saying this because people actually fail their masters and are unable to get their post study permit. 10. Look for intelligent people in you class and be friendly with them so you can rub minds with them. Join a study group if possible because studying in the UK is a totally different ballgame & I wish someone had counseled me before I arrived. It can be interesting but be ready to put in the work. 11. Make friends with resourceful people when you get here and find accommodation on time. Possibly sort out accommodation before leaving Nigeria especially if you’re coming in with children. 12. Don’t be discouraged to apply because you have been denied visa/visas before. Just be honest about it.
Success to everyone! |

I pray he rest in Jesus name o. Imagine a newbie enter this thread and jam his comments. Ti Uk visa ti tan niyen agent of Buhari Sandra734030: You have been on many threads ranting! I must say you talk too much for a MAN. Telling people what to do… Honestly you really need to rest uncle. Same way you created a thread 2021 Jan telling people that they are wasting fortunes. People would rather take their chances in a sane society. Keep your energy for something else and allow us breath. You are not in any position to tell people what to do. From your conversation you feel you know what’s the best for another person and it’s really disgusting. If it’s your decision not to travel then it’s fine but coercing others into taking same decision is really annoying and yet people keep correcting you but you are still not getting the point. Rest in Jesus name and get something else to do with your time Please my people if you wish or have the chance to leave the country and you have resources please do. |

I don't know if this Comrade dey take bear. I owe you many chilled ones sir. DMainMan: @justwise.
The below is just to tell prospective students about an easy job they can do in the UK. I have noticed that many Nigerian and Indian students PSW visa are been rejected at alarming rate due to exceeding 20hrs of work. Some of these students have no choice than to work above 20hrs because they will immediately be sacked. Some of them solely depend on this income as they borrowed to come. If you work in warehouse jobs, security jobs, kitchen porter jobs e.t.c, you will be given shifts more than 20hrs a week. So everyone, endeavour you have money before coming to the UK so you won't default.
SOLUTION
To resolve this problem, apply to a stay-at-home call centre job. The job is only about 4hrs daily from Monday to Friday, 5pm to 9pm. This is exactly 20hrs. It is very easy as you will just be answering calls. You will have time to focus on your assignment. The job is also a professional job that can be transferred and added to your CV unlike those aforementioned jobs. You should have quiet space to work at home with a strong WIFI connection. Many other telecommunication companies have these opportunities.

Do not work more than 20hrs a week term time as a student. There is no excuse as your PSW visa will be declined

Omo see wisdom... iSalute Babababy: We all would eventually walk the part that we have chosen, there is absolutely no bed of roses anywhere in the world and you have to make the most of whatever circumstance you find yourself in. I have 3 kids, I was paying an average of N1.1M per term for school in Nigeria, for all three kids, and this to some is a lot while to others its small fires, to each his/her own. When I inspected schools in the Uk, and compared public schools in the UK to the private school I was paying for, the difference in facilities and tutoring was quite glaring. In the business term, thats a saving of N1.1M for me. Would I be bothered if I get taxed extra because my kids now go to a better school? Hell NO. All three are in public schools in the UK now, something I cant try here in Nigeria.
My last, never loved school, all of a sudden he is always eager to go to school now, my daughter is excelling in maths, a subject her teacher always complained about in Nigeria. My son started football lessons, and he absolutely loves it, swimming is also done in-between.
Obviously, the UK is not a bed of glittering roses, you would have to trade money for quality living, work your ass off to make ends met, but the beneficiary of all the hustle would be your children.
A lot of money is involved in getting settled in the UK, for some its their entire life savings, and for some its just a tiny bit of savings, while some would end up borrowing for the same venture. They usually say, the end should justify the means, but you need to work smart and work hard. You would be amazed by how much you would save with the right information. Hear say wont get you far, regardless of the situation, people would always have differences in their thought process.
The quality of life in Nigeria has been degraded by a lot, even in wealth, your average life expectancy in Nigeria is not guaranteed at 50. Some few weeks ago, millionaires and billionaires were groaning because of the non availability of diesel, it affected everyone. Billioniares literally have to drive in long convoy's and bullet proof cars to avoid stories that touch, their close family have to do same . The list is endless, the UK is an opportunity to try another way of life and compromise on a few things here in Nigeria.
The reality is that, not everyone would be succesful, but it is worth the try. Absolutely better than doing nothing. Here in Nigeria, you still have to hustle, and work smart, so why not the Uk.
What is being told, is so you prepare yourself for the unexpected, the internet should be your best buddy if you intend to relocate, every single resource is in there. My dad left the UK in 1975, he was always getting sick because of the cold. He worked for the department of education , and I shit you not, he is still getting his pension. Obviously its paltry, but would you believe a system paying pension to someone that left the system 47 years ago? This is why some are craving it.
We can argue all we want but we cant compare both systems, yes, you get taxed a lot but your quality of life is greatly improved, and you would obviously see the reasons why you paying the tax.
This place was started to help people have a clear view of how to go about studying in the Uk and remaining in the Uk, we can make inputs on what people should prepare themselves for, lots of inputs. Let the focus of the thread remain about studying in the Uk. |

Daddy.. Ok. We don hear you. We will be careful and expect less when we finally japa. Thanks oooo. Esheun... Can we close this case already ? Let's embrace love and peace... Everyone are right from their angles. Solatium: Today 4 People were stabbed to death while sleeping in their home in South London, did you find any negative comment from the citizens they way we do here? Was it over blown in the press the way they do here? No be one lunatic went to shoot people at New York subway past week? My point is it rains everywhere, Crime and Terrorism has no boundaries, every society has its own share, don't run down your home because you have little privilege of venturing out thinking you can sink the ship. |

Thanks so much for this information. hosey: A church/Islamic marriage certificate is enough. That is what my spouse used. You can then support it by doing an affidavit. Check the affidavit format attached. If you are Christian, don't put the number 4 statement. Only include Number 4 statement for an Islamic marriage certificate.
Don't waste your time and resources with court marriage. Some people even go to the extent of bribing authorities just to get Ikoyi court marriage for travel. UK does not care about court weddings.
Religious marriage is recognised in UK.
In addition to the Islamic or church marriage certificate, for a dependant visa add marriage pictures and other proof you and your spouse's relationship is subsisting such as living together evidence with you and your wife's name on the tenancy agreement or any residence, WhatsApp and Facebook chat, hotel booking, honey moon e.t.c |
