Zikojukwu: How can a terribly sick man save a terribly sick country?
It takes the action of a few reasonable persons to make the whole nation better. Think and use your brain for the betterment of all. I support Obi and I'm not saying he is a saint but he is clearly the best option the political parties have provided for us now. We can't continue to deceive ourselves. We have suffered enough and ought to be wise. It will shock you to know I'm from the North Central.
As for me, Buhari's government and the attendant sufferings, pains and deaths are enough to reset our brains and shift our reasoning from tribalism, religion to true nationalism, love and nation-building.
I have an issue with Tinubu as a person and it has nothing to do with his tribe even though some of his people are making Tinubu's presidency a Yoruba thing and it is working against him here in the north. I would have ignored other bad sides of Tinubu but his health is such a serious challenge no reasonable person can ignore. He is also a crafty old man who divides the home he should build. He behaves like a rogue arrogating power to himself and laying dangerous examples.
The stage we are now in Nigeria is very precarious and we don't need any leader who is not responding to questions about his life and not talking to Nigerians about his ability to solve our elephantine problems. Tinubu just wants us to look at what he did in Lagos some blurry years ago and vote him. That is the most dangerous thing to do. It shows we're not learning. Remember, most people sold Buhari to us based on his past integrity, prudence and discipline but the reverse is the case now. It's dangerous to live in the past.
The most disturbing is that everything about Nigeria is crumbling fast. Our lives are in grave danger of insecurity and economic nosedives. We can't deny that Nigeria is terribly sick and it's suicidal to employ a terribly sick man to save a terribly sick country. The whole world will see us a foolish people and may forestall any appeal for help. Most of the foreign commissioners visiting the presidential candidates are only carrying out preliminary assessments. How do you feel after visiting Tinubu as a foreign commissioner? Will you believe Nigerians are normal?
Atiku appears healthier and more knowledgeable than Tinubu and that raises the questions of who is older, more open and responsive to the questions Nigerians are asking? The biggest odd against him is his region being a Northerner taking power from another northerner. It is the highest abberation to our unity. His corruption cases are as messy as dog-shits but Nigerians seem not to respect credibility and honesty. Tribes and religion override them in Nigerian politics.
So let's vote wisely and let who you vote next year do not bring pains, suffering to the rest of us. Use your conscience to prove your love for Nigeria. God help Nigeria and give us the best leader. I'm not good at quoting long write-ups but here I have done it simply because no part of your essay deserves being ignored. Simply put, thank you for being so objective in your analysis |

It's good to sound mature and neutral as a pastor and nonpartisan man of God.
However, Adeboye said he doesn't vote? Then he asked his fellowers to go vote. That's Hypocrisy!
Adeboye doesn't play partisan politics, what does department of political affairs doing in his ministry prior to APC primary?
Why does he encourage his members to go belong to one political party or another? He would have just stopped at telling them to go vote during election and not to encourage them to go belong to political parties.
I think Adeboye should have used his office and ministry to educate the people on the important of voting personality and not political party. This, I think, is a better way of sensitising the electorates while remaining politically neutral.
I think it is Hypocritical for Adeboye to claim that his duty is to just pray for Nigeria. If praying is all he does, why establish schools and other businesses?
Why did Critize and protest against GEJ government but keep mute for the past seven years? He is politically neutral indeed. Hypocrite!
Finally, I advise everyone to vote according to their conscience and believe in the personality of the candidates and not based on political affiliation. Vote wisely! |

Eeyaaaa! Dave Umahi has finally gone mad. How can he claim that PDP vote with which he won Ebonyi governorship post twice were APC's simply because he jumped ship?
Besides, he's suffering from inferiority complex. How can he be insinuating that Ebonyians are second class citizen in South East? I mean, no wise man should use such diminutive adjectival expressions just for political gains.
Also, he is, I can see, trying so hard to turn Ebonyians and the rest of their Igbo brothers and sisters against each other. All these atrocities just for political selfish gain.

OptimistBrain: Dear Obidients. Please read this without bias.
Obi is the right man for the job as it stands but this election will either be between APC and PDP... I would have voted and fully support Obi if either Osibanjo or Ameachi were on the ballot for APC, not minding who wins.
But as it stands, a vote for Peter obi will only increase the chances of Tinubu winning the election. Most Peter obi supporters are from the South south, south East and North Central which are PDP strong holds. It will only split PDP votes and give Tinubu an edge.
Please if you are not in support of Muslim-Muslim ticket, pls vote PDP, if not the country will be governed by the Muslim for 24 straight years.
Peter Obi will not win in any APC strong hold. He will only split the PDP votes in the south there by giving APC an edge.
Peter Obi is the best candidate, but PDP is definitely better than APC. A vote for Obi as it stands is a vote indirectly for APC.
Please vote wisely. I don't care who wins or declared winner. I care for my conscience, competence, justice and fairness. I will vote PETER OBI and that is final. |

There's nothing wrong with Muslim-Muslim ticket. Christians can bear that hence there's good governance. What must be avoided is Christian-Christian ticket. No Muslim will tolerate that at all. As such, Tinubu can go ahead and choose his running mate from any religion. To me, the running mate of any presidential candidate is inconsequential. What matters is the presidential candidate who will eventually become the president. Buhari-Osibanjo is a case study.
Meanwhile, I suggest Peter Obi should go for Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as his running mate. I pray such can come to pass.

Politics › Re: Things That The Next President Of Nigeria Is Expected To Put Back In Order. by McBishop2020: 7:15pm On Jul 04, 2022 |
Subsea: Peter Obi of Labour Party is simply the best candidate and the man Nigeria needs desperately come 2023 presidential election. He outlined the issues that has bedevilled the country over the years proffering solutions to change the narrative once and for all. Peter Obi said: 1. I can’t sleep because I know what to do! I have gone round the 36 States of the country like I have gone round 31 countries of the world, I know the problems of Nigeria and I know I can fix them easily! Because I can see them, I can fix them! 2. Hunger takes people to the streets! Job and food will obviously take them out of crimes! That’s my specialty, creating jobs and wealth! 3. I have not come out for myself! I have come out for the millions of youths that are losing hope in our beloved country! I have come out for the millions of women who are afraid of tomorrow and what it holds for them and their children! I have come out for the poor who are asking weather it’s a sin to be a Nigerian! For them, I have come! 4. For people who are asking if Peter Obi has ‘structure’, what structure is bigger and stronger than the collective will of the masses on whose necks the knees of the politicians have been? What structure is greater than the determination of a people who have at last decided to take back their country, their only country? 5. The battle for the rescue of the soul of Nigeria has just begun and we must all be contributive and participative in it. 6. Yes, we may not have the money to share because we didn’t steal any. We have not come to enslave but to serve. 7. Have you imagined somebody giving you money to help you? Bribing you to go and serve you? It’s wisdom to go for a permanent solution than a temporary remedy! 8. This battle is to help Nigerian youths, Market women, struggling families, students, teachers, famers, old and poor, whose helpless looking faces I see everywhere I go. It’s for these people that l, Peter Obi, have come! However, like a drowning man, they must bring out their hands to be saved! 9. In this battle, if you can’t fly, run! If you can’t run, walk! If you can’t walk, crawl! If you can’t crawl, roll! If you can’t roll, shout! By all means we must be on the move and we must be heard! 10. These people are more than 50 million of the Nigerian voting adults. They have the power. Their destiny is in their hands so they can change it. If they will it, they will win it! 11. Remember, the man with energy will always be at the mercy of the man with strategy based on synergy. With God on our side, we shall not fail and we shall not fall! May God help us! God bless Nigeria! 12. I will rather lose doing the right thing than win doing the wrong thing. 13. Nigeria must move beyond oil; we must move from Consumption to Production nation. Peter Obi is the best answer to the Nigeria question. |

Politics › Re: 2023: Labour Party Will Labour In Vain - Soludo Mocks Peter Obi by McBishop2020: 10:19pm On Jun 26, 2022 |
From the write-up, HE Prof Soludo is talking about state related elections: senatorial, houses, etc, but not presidential election. He can't even try fighting Obi's presidential ambition. The truth is that any politician, especially in the South-East, irrespective of the person's party affiliation, fighting Obi's presidential ambition is taking a big risk.
On a normal, in Anambra, PDP represent the state at the national level. However, at the state level, it's APGA all the way.
Soludo may want to extend/expand APGA dominance to include National Assembly seats, but not presidency. PDP is no longer an option in Anambra in presidential election as usual since the emergence of Peter Obi in Labour Party.
Meanwhile, the heading of this article is misleading. Prof was referring to Victor Umeh's defection and senatorial ambition, not Peter Obi and Labour Party's presidential election.
I come in peace. |
