Family success is one success that goes as a far affecting a country and it is when the wife-husband relationship is fixed can everything amount to a good success. Scriptures tell us in the book of Ephesians in the fifth chapter that wives should submit to their husbands while husbands are equally advised to love their wives. Transmission

The monkeypox virus is transmitted primarily by having direct contact with the blood, body fluids or mucosal lesions of animals that are infected. Infections in Africa has been through the handling of infected monkeys, Gambian giant rats and squirrels and rodents are the major reservoirs for the virus. Another risk area is the eating of meat from affected animals that is not cooked adequately.

Human to human transmission can be by having contact with the respiratory secretions, skin lesions of an infected person or objects that have been infected by the patient’s fluid. It occurs largely due to droplets respiratory particles usually after a prolonged face to face contact. This puts household members with active cases at a greater risk of being infected. Inoculation or the placenta (congenital monkeypox) can also transmit the virus. However, there has not been any single evidence that human to human transmission alone can sustain the infection among in human populations.

A study of prairie dog-human monkeypox model, two different clades of the virus were identified; the Congo Basin and West African clades. The former is more virulent.

Signs and Symptoms

The incubation period for the Monkey Pox virus is from 6 to 16 days but can take up to 5 to 21 days. The incubation period is the interval from infection to when the symptoms start showing. The two period of infections are;

The invasion period and this is between 0-5 days which comes with fever, intense headache, lymphadenopathy (swelling of the lymph node), back pain, myalgia (muscle ache) and intense asthenia (a lack of energy).
The skin eruption period which is between 1-3 days after the fever starts. At this stage, rashes appear from the face and spread to other parts of the body. 95 percent of the cases have the face affected more while 75 percent cases affect the palm and sole of the feet. The change of the flat lesions (macul0papules) to small fluid-filled blisters (vesicles) to pustules to crust occur in approximately 10 days.

The lesions can show from a few to a thousand which affects oral mucous membranes (70 percent of cases), genitals (30 percent) and conjunctivae/eyelid (20 percent) including the cornea (eyeball).

The severe lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) can appear in some patients before the rashes appear and this is a distinct feature of the monkeypox compared to similar diseases. The virus is self-limited and severe cases are found in children and this depends on the extent of exposure, patient health and complications.

Diagnosis

The different diagnosis that is considered includes rash illnesses such as smallpox, chicken pox, measles, bacterial skin infections, scabies, syphilis and allergies related to medications. Lymphadenopathy in the prodromal stage of it can clinical feature to differentiate from smallpox.

The virus can only diagnosis definitively in the laboratory by running various tests;

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
Antigen detection tests.
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay.
Virus isolation by cell culture.
