OP, you did absolutely nothing wrong. If I were u, I wouldn't even come to NL to ask for people's opinion because I know what I stand for. I would have done the same thing you did too, it's not as if one is claiming "holier than thou" as NLs would say, but different people have their various principles. Guy code or no guy code, if I don't see it to be reasonable, I won't join the majority of guys to do anything in the name of "guy code". If something like this can cause a big rift between u guys, then you shouldn't probably be friends in the first place bcuz your principles differ. He should go and roll with guys that can leave their apartment for him to bring girls to and have fun. You did nothing wrong bro

Ya, you could say that. I'm not asking him to be extraordinary, but at least he has to get the basics right. Simple things like passing the ball accurately shouldn't be an uphill task for him. That's the mistake I saw he made a couple of times against sociedad, if a player has deteriorated or lost form, at least he should be able to get the basics right. And I believe that's something u can perfect in training...

But at he needs gametime to make up for loss-time. Same was said too about Bartra, but he proved all doubters wrong against Les Parisien. That is how it goes... Little by little. In Montoya's case, he needs to play more to regain his form. I could remember how he marked Ronaldo out in two Clasicos in the past.
Besides, without giving him the chance to play, how would you really make a sincere and just assessment of his performances?
