But let's look at it like this, if Pedrito is replacing Alves as RB and we all know that Alves usually pulls out to support offence, I think Pedro might be of good use in that aspect. He'll have to pull out to support offence and since he's a natural attacker, he could bring more to the table than what Alves brings.

Meanwhile, when he (Pedro) pulls out for offence, Mascherano can come back to cover for him.
