Our weak link is S. Busquets. If he raises his game and possibly gets support from the other midfiled players, we should do fine in the tie. I guess that is why he has been rested frequently the couple of weeks. We can't afford loose balls and sloppy passes, even tho the Liverpool midfield isnt exactly world class.

I feel both teams are well motivated to get to the Finals and would give there all. For Liverpool, the UCL is the most realistic trophy they can clinch, while for Barca, the joy of a third treble brings so much glamour than Madrid's 3 successive UCLs

The tie is 50-50 IMO, and would be decided by few details. I hope and pray we are favoured by Mother luck!

V. Valdes holds a record 5 times Zamora trophy for a goalkeeper with the least goals conceded per season. Its common knowledge, however, that he ranks far behind I. Casillas in real terms of who is the better goalkeeper. As someone said, the Liverpool guy is least exposed when you compare him to MATS. He faces more of tame shots. A great goalkeeper nonetheless, but sentiments aside, MATS is the better of the two.

Some fans here are very funny and have been spoilt, in fact some on here started watching football during pep's era.

For history sake this is the sixth time in the club’s history that FC Barcelona won an away leg in the Champions League quarterfinals. In the last eleven times since 2009 in the Champions League quarters, FC Barcelona has won three times.

Even under the Magnificent Pep, away games are extremely difficult talk less of a team like United, I dare say it that under another manager we would have drawn or conceeded a goal when United had that spell of brief pressure.

This was a masterclass from EV and the team, they got the freaking job done.

You have to understand that this crop of Man Utd players don't compare to ours. Its reason almost every team that made it through to this round wanted to face them. They and Porto to an extent are the weakest of the 8 teams. Apart from De Gea who I believe stand toe to toe with MATS, the others are inferior to every player in our starting line up when matched side by side. Thus, it was expected that if such a game were played 1o times in a row, Barca should come up top no less than 9 times. Reason being we have more quality players and should win irrespective of where the game is played.

However, as expected, our Coach chose the conservative approach as he has been known to do. He showed Man Utd so much respect than deserved. Had he played to full capacity and shown a more positive approach, the tie could have been over from the first.

And rather than rest key players for the weekend game, I won't be surprised if he names a full-strength squad to face Huesca.
